A Blast from the Past: 1998 ATV Anniversary Cook-off

Here are some clips from ATV's anniversary cook-off (1998), which was hosted by Stephen Au and Kristy Yang.

Kenneth Chan & Thomas Lam vs. Alice Chan & Belinda Hamnett



Funny how Stephen thought that Thomas knew how to cook; however, Thomas later explained that that wasn't the case! :P Stephen also said that he had tried Alice's cooking before, and he also praised her cooking skills! :)

Kenneth didn't really have to cook. He was only required to make the sauce for the crab legs, which didn't work out. :P

Gilbert Lam, Andrew Yuen & Thomas Lam vs. Joey Meng, Annie Man & Alice Chan



Joey had great knife skills! Even Stephen said that it only took Joey one lesson to learn that skill. :) Ha ha.... Funny how she cut off the lettuce ribs! :D

Quite funny watching Annie 'saw' the chicken thigh! :P

Alice said that she learned how to cook after marriage; however, her cooking skills can be seen in this show. :)

Didn't like how Gilbert ripped the tails off the shrimps....

Andrew's pastry shell didn't look appealing, especially compared to the prepared version.... :P

  1. Thanks for posting hyn5! I didn't know that MYM and Alice had such great cooking skills! Never got a chance to watch much of ATV back then so this is the first time that I've watched this!

    Thomas is Claire Yiu's husband right? I am most familiar with his hosting acts. :)

    How come Stephen didn't cook?

    1. Yes, Thomas is Claire's husband.

      For some reason, I think that Stephen can cook. Also think that Thomas or Kenneth should have been hosting instead.
