Venus Wong Levels Up to First Female Lead, Romancing Pakho Chau

Artiste Venus Wong will be acting as the first female lead in TVB's new series, and the role has high moldability, pushing her to take on the difficult challenge. She has recently received a tailor-made role from a TVB series crew. In the new series "The Spectator", which starts filming next month, she will act as a policewoman who is sensitive to outside sounds and lights and shadows. She uses this gift to solve murder cases, and the deeper the investigation, the more suppressed her inner emotions are.
It is reported that, this time, Venus has won over Jinny Ng and Shiga Lin, who are also taking part in "The Spectator", to appear as the first female lead, developing a romantic storyline with the male lead, Pakho Chau, who is acting as a restaurant manager. This is also Pakho's return to the series scene since filming "Wonder Women" in 2019; no wonder he seems quite nervous and has already recently begun to do his homework in seclusion. He has romantic storylines with Jeannie Chan and JW. He has been arranged to have a diplomatic relationship with Jeannie, a princess of the Kingdom of Gor Lin San (歌蓮神國). The Kingdom of Gor Lin San is a kingdom of women's rights supremacy. The tough Jeannie is not willing to marry the weak prince, so she decides to go kill him. Unexpectedly, the two accidentally lose their memories, and they end up living in the Seven Kingdoms' 'no king ruling' town of Sau Chan (首振鎮). The town of Sau Chan is a martial arts world with masters everywhere; it is a place with hidden talent, and even the market vendors have special skills. He has a slight rivalry with Bosco; they have known each other since they were young, but they slowly become in opposition. He has romantic storylines with Mandy and Nancy. He has a lot of scenes with his adoptive mother, Candy Lo.
- Vincent will play Wai Kai Ming (韋繼明), a Senior Inspector of Police in the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) who goes all out and risks his life. He is very dirty and slovenly. He is a gloomy character with a bit of a dark side. He is responsible for most of the action scenes. He has a lot of scenes with Bosco; if there are any affairs of the heart, he can only talk to Bosco about them.
- Shaun Tam will play Cheung Yiu Cho (章耀祖), the most senior ICAC investigator. He has a part in playing matchmaker for Bosco and Sisley. He frequently plays tricks on Bosco. He has fewer case investigation scenes; his scenes are rather lighthearted and humourous. He is Poon Chi Man's son.
- Nancy will play To Man (屠敏), a group chairperson. She is a career woman who has to wear a prosthetic leg due to losing her leg in a building collapse accident. The fact that she has a prosthetic leg is a secret. The story talks about tenement buildings in Sai Wan being forcibly made to collapse by real estate developers; those few children experienced an accident, and she lost her leg, so she has to wear a prosthetic leg. Her goal is to get justice. She is Bosco's elder sister. She, Ron, Mandy, and Vincent are friends. She is also called 「屠老闆」.
- Mandy will play Fong Ka Ching (方家晴), who works at a cabaret in Temple Street.
- Sisley Choi will play Lai Hiu San (黎曉山), a funny and lively ICAC investigator who eases the tension of the entire team's atmosphere. She was a personal bodyguard for an important figure in the US, and she knows Brazilian ju-jitsu and taekwondo. She mainly has interactions with Bosco. - Ron will play Cheuk Yi Fan (卓以凡), a rich second generation lawyer who is both good and evil. He is a slight antagonist who often makes sense of false reasoning. He uses money to solve his problems. He has a slight rivalry with Bosco; they have known each other since they were young, but they slowly become in opposition. He has romantic storylines with Mandy and Nancy. He has a lot of scenes with his adoptive mother, Candy Lo.
- Vincent will play Wai Kai Ming (韋繼明), a Senior Inspector of Police in the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) who goes all out and risks his life. He is very dirty and slovenly. He is a gloomy character with a bit of a dark side. He is responsible for most of the action scenes. He has a lot of scenes with Bosco; if there are any affairs of the heart, he can only talk to Bosco about them.
- Shaun Tam will play Cheung Yiu Cho (章耀祖), the most senior ICAC investigator. He has a part in playing matchmaker for Bosco and Sisley. He frequently plays tricks on Bosco. He has fewer case investigation scenes; his scenes are rather lighthearted and humourous. He is Poon Chi Man's son.
- Nancy will play To Man (屠敏), a group chairperson. She is a career woman who has to wear a prosthetic leg due to losing her leg in a building collapse accident. The fact that she has a prosthetic leg is a secret. The story talks about tenement buildings in Sai Wan being forcibly made to collapse by real estate developers; those few children experienced an accident, and she lost her leg, so she has to wear a prosthetic leg. Her goal is to get justice. She is Bosco's elder sister. She, Ron, Mandy, and Vincent are friends. She is also called 「屠老闆」.
- Mandy will play Fong Ka Ching (方家晴), who works at a cabaret in Temple Street.
- Sisley Choi will play Lai Hiu San (黎曉山), a funny and lively ICAC investigator who eases the tension of the entire team's atmosphere. She was a personal bodyguard for an important figure in the US, and she knows Brazilian ju-jitsu and taekwondo. She mainly has interactions with Bosco. Her appearance is to irritate Bosco, and to enlighten him at the same time. She and Bosco both had some bad experiences; she has let go, whereas he has not, so her appearance would cause him to slowly let go. She proactively pursues Bosco, and his mother really wants them to be together. She and Bosco have a sweet couple relationship; their bed scene is shot with a humourous effect.
- Lin Xia Wei will make a special appearance as Ann Chow Pui On (周佩安), a chief investigator of the ICAC. She is single in the series.
- Jacky Cai will play Vani, Nancy's right-hand woman. She is Nancy's partner in the workplace and bestie. They have some big plans, so she assists the big bosses in carrying out the big plans. She silently guards Nancy, having an ambiguous relationship. She is a cooler and quieter character who is sharp at work.
- Ben Wong will play Cheuk Yin Kwong (卓延光), a wealthy businessman with a triads background. He is a major antagonist. He is slightly arrogant and has his own method of survival. He went from being a lowly citizen to having his own kingdom, so he has his own beliefs. He believes that, as long as you cannot arrest him, then things are favourable for him. He gets arrested many times, but he cannot get caught. He and Candy are a pair who does whatever it takes to protect their family. He and Ron are father and son.

Two ICAC Series Being Filmed, Two 'TV Queens' Nancy Wu and Sisley Choi Battle It Out

There will be two series with a theme on the ICAC! TVB is filming "ICAC Investigators 2022" with Benjamin Yuen and 'TV Queen' Sisley Choi. It is known that Shaw Brothers is getting two-time 'TV Queen' Nancy Wu, 'TV King' Vincent Wong, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Mandy Wong, et al., who are all TVB fa dans and siu sangs of the past and present, to film the new series "ICAC Attack" at the end of June; this is Nancy's first collaborative project after signing with Shaw Brothers.
When Nancy was interviewed by on.cc, she frankly said that this role is the most 'overpowering' since she entered the industry. After reading the script, became emotionally affected and kept losing sleep. What's more is that she will be playing Bosco's elder sister in the series. Nancy said, "The character's background is very complicated. Mandy and I both felt that there was a 'picture' after looking at the script. This time, I am not an ICAC, and also not a cop. I couldn't sleep after looking at the script...looked at it to the point that I could not speak. I don't even know how to describe it. The older sister and younger brother relationship with Bosco, as well as the story of the whole group of friends with Ron, Mandy, and Vincent, have a lot of drama. There is also a plot that talks about me getting revenge. In short, it is a great breakthrough this time; it has to be described as 'overpowering'. (Will you be unable to accept having to be Bosco's elder sister?) Did he use dirty tactics?! Ha ha ha!"
'TV King' Vincent revealed that he is playing a police officer this time, so there are a lot of action scenes. Now, while shooting the movie "Detrimental", he also has to take time out to train to prepare for the subsequent fighting and shirtless scenes.
As for Bosco, he is playing the role of an ICAC member this time. He laughingly said, "I haven't worked with Nancy for many years. She is even playing my elder sister this time! My real age seems to be slightly older than hers, but it doesn't matter. Our acting will make up for it! Everyone has acting chops! This time, Nancy's role is great to watch...very powerful! I really want to be her character...would be a lot of fun". Bosco also highly praised the script for being very well-written, and frankly said that he has not read such a quality script in a long time, so [he] is rather looking forward to it. Hubert Wu Admits to Being Rational, Erica Chan Buries Emotions and Relies on Acting to Vent

Artistes Hubert Wu, Erica Chan, and Helena Law were in Sai Wan filming for the new series "Falling in Love with My Bad Luck". The plot had him act out a sad scene where his relative has left. Helena, who plays his paternal grandmother, has passed away. When he was cleaning up for her in the room, he saw things that momentarily reminded him of her, so he cried tears of sadness, and Erica couldn't help but get teary-eyed when she saw him like this.
He pointed out that he is not a sentimental person whose emotions fluctuate easily; he is more rational. However, his previous series, "Return of the Cuckoo", also had a lot of crying scenes; it is also the same for "Falling"...completely emotionally explosive. Speaking of girlfriend Sisley Choi dubbing to the point of crying in a previous episide of "Dub-of-War", he frankly said that he watched it and praised all the contestants for performing well. When it was said that Sisley's voice sounded exactly like Amy Kwok's, he immediately laughingly said, "You ask her! Why are you asking me?! (Because you know her voice best!) Well, she really put her heart into getting a grasp of it! (Do you dare to take up the challenge?) I am not a person who is good at dubbing. I should just sing and act!" He was also very polite upon seeing Helena, immediately calling her 'paternal grandmother'. Helena also cordially asked him, "How are you?! Have you had enough sleep?" The two were like a 'real grandmother and grandchild'.
As for Erica, who is working with Helena for the first time, frankly said that, although [Helena] is already 87 years old, when she saw her filming a scene where she was yelling at Hubert the other day, her acting and aura were rather incredible, revealing that she took the initiative to ask her senior about her acting experience. Speaking of acting out crying scenes, Erica said that she is usually a person who does not shed tears easily...would bury her emotions. Acting just happens to allow her to vent. She said, "I don't even lose my temper much. Nothing much will touch my bottom line, except hurting my family". She also revealed that she filmed an emotional crying scene the day before; this scene was even the deepest she had immersed into a role. She frankly said, "Really broke down. I was very immersed. After crying, felt paralyzed and had no strength. Director said 'cut', but I still could not stop. (How did it feel?) It was very fun. It felt great".

Hubert Wu Is Actually a Brawny Guy, Erica Chan Has to Push Hard

Artiste Hubert Wu and TVB's promoted newcomer Erica Chan were doing location filming in an old building in Quarry Bay today for the new series "Falling in Love with My Bad Luck". The plot was about Hubert, who plays a takeout delivery person, encountering a kid while delivering takeout, and even getting pranked by Erica along the way, getting pushed hard by her. Afterward, he pointed out that she probably goes to the gym usually...full of power. [He] laughingly said that he has to see a bonesetter after work.
When interviewed, Erica, who is still a newcomer, expressed that they have been working for more than ten days. It has been a rather happy process; the entire series crew is working together delightfully, and has even gotten reminders from seniors Hubert, Mayanne Mak, Mark Ma, et al. When asked whether Hubert has played a trick on her, she haughtily said, "They have not! I was the one who pranked him actually. The plot talks about us being people from different dimensions; sometimes he cannot see me, so there are many scenes where I trick him. There was a scene where I had to splash milk tea on him; afterward, [I] kept apologizing to him. Before, also had to push him hard. I also didn't mean to push him too hard. Afterward, the director told me to do it harder because Hubert is very brawny and strong! (Well, did you have a lot of NGs?) There were some because I am also learning".
Erica also pointed out that, in the series, she is the most blissful. The weather is hot now. Hubert has to often film in thick takeout delivery clothes, while Mark has to wear wool sweaters to match his character, and his hair also has to be brushed with a white colour...quite a bit of trouble. She revealed that her character in the series is a tragic one. There are also a lot of heavy crying scenes: "I was very nervous at the beginning, but after discussing with the director and the producer, they told me to relax as much as possible. (How do you invest yourself emotionally?) Listen to songs! (Hubert sang impromptu for you?) When he is beside you, it's like opening a free concert, and there seems to be a human CD player following me!"
When Hubert was asked whether he had given Erica a bit of advice, he immediately humbly said, "Wah! How can I do it?! I can't even handle myself. Finished 'Return of the Cuckoo' for not long, and then started filming. Had to promote a song in the middle, so there was not much time to rest. Old now...cannot recover. Eliza Sam Gives Birth to Second Son

Eliza Sam announced that she had already given birth to her and second son, 'Little Cashew', with husband Joshua. Joshua then uploaded a cute picture of 'Little Cashew' yawning, as well as pictures of Eliza embracing their eldest son, Jacob, and him holding their youngest son up high. Joshua spoke for 'Little Cashew' under the pictures: "Hi Guys! My name is Julius Samuel Ngo. I came into this world weighing 3.02kg and measuring 50cm. My goh goh Jacob has been great and I am just a pooping feeding machine for the time being. Special nod to Grandpa for letting me use his name as my middle name. Looking forward to meeting all of you aunties and uncles. Mom is recovering well and getting her missed cuddles in with Jacob".
In addition, Eliza expressed in a reply to Ming Pao that she has already received everyone's blessings. She and her husband thanked everyone: "Completely received them. The baby's name is Julius. We call him 'Baby JuJu'. He was born at 3.02 kg (6.6 lb.); it was okay. We are safe and sound. My son and I have already returned home to rest. Comments on Female Partners and Praises Jessica Hsuan as Being Great, Bobby Au Yeung Helpless About Having No Opportunity to Play an Antagonist

'TV King' Bobby Au Yeung, who has been in the television industry for many years, has filmed another TVB series, "Shadow of Justice", after four years, performing his unique humour. He plays a Chief Inspector of Police of the Accident Investigation team, laughingly saying that shooting in a white shirt was the hardest to adapt to: "You know my body figure. Nothing can be hidden behind a white shirt, so I hold a file to cover myself no matter what. After filming started, I quickly slimmed down so that it would not be such a mistreatment to the viewers' eyes; the buttons on the shirts would also be smoother". He revealed that he had suggested to the producer that he and Joe Ma swap roles so that he would be playing a lawyer who is both good and evil, and said that he has never been an antagonist since he became a lead. He said helplessly, "Perhaps my face is too kind. No one dares to let me try. The antagonist in my heart is not one who suddenly grabs a knife and randomly stabs people, nor is he always showing a detestable face. Rather, it is a character with a story, and these are hard to come by".
The response to the new series is not bad. He, who has always been called a 'Ratings Lucky Star', readily accepts this good reputation: "Well, this is a fact. Thanks to everyone for giving me this name; it's better than praising me for being handsome. At TVB, I am called the 'Sequel King'". Faced with the emergence of newcomers, he was asked whether he would be worried about the difficulty in attracting the new generation of viewers. He was open-minded and expressed, "Leaving it to fate. They also don't even know the 'Four Heavenly Kings', and I have not retired, so I can still continue filming. The viewers have discerning eyes. A ten-plus-year-old also knows how to watch acting; if he or she thinks that this person's acting is good to watch, then he or she will naturally watch it".
When talking about the female partners he has worked with, he used 'guardian' to describe his new series partner, Joey Meng: "Only she can handle me because I kick up a fuss easily; she would call me 'master' and would coax me". He also called out and praised Jessica: "She does anything that I tell her to. She is really great. She knows that I do it for the effect. Able to let me hold water in my mouth to spray her...the first time was 'A Recipe for the Heart', and the second time was 'Dicey Business'. As for Esther Kwan, he said that they are a dream team: "Her husband, Nick Cheung, said to me, 'At the beginning of our marriage, a lot of people thought that you were actually her husband!"
Although Bobby has worked with countless actresses, he has been scandal-free for many years. Asked if it was due to not filming many intimate scenes, he frankly said that he has always hated filming intimate scenes, but there is no shortage of kiss scenes: "Having a kiss scene with Amy Chan, I was more scared than she was. She is a vegetarian; I was afraid that she would throw up from feeling my meat odour. When I filmed a kiss scene with Esther, she talked while filming; she said that it would be natural if the lips are moving! Filming with Ada Choi, the script said to embrace and kiss. Although Bobby has worked with countless actresses, he has been scandal-free for many years. Asked if it was due to not filming many intimate scenes, he frankly said that he has always hated filming intimate scenes, but there is no shortage of kiss scenes: "Having a kiss scene with Amy Chan, I was more scared than she was. She is a vegetarian; I was afraid that she would throw up from feeling my meat odour. When I filmed a kiss scene with Esther, she talked while filming; she said that it would be natural if the lips are moving! Filming with Ada Choi, the script said to embrace and kiss. I said that it is really ugly filming an embrace and kiss with my profile...flat mouth and flat face. At most, kissing your forehead and cheek".
