《東風破》 "Merry-Go-Round" Trailers

「離開。是為了回來」
"Leaving. Is for returning".

In HK theatres on November 11th, 2010

Love brings out the best in us,
And sometimes the worst.

We still keep trying,
Waiting for love,
Looking for love,
Falling in love.

This is the only way
To make a better life,
Then, a better world.

"Merry-Go-Round"

Directors: Mak Yan Yan and Clement Cheng

Cast: Teddy Robin, Nora Miao, Ella Koon, Lawrence Chou, Denise Ho, Joe Cheung, Susan Shaw, Wilfred Lau, Lu Yu Lai

It is often said that Hong Kong people do not value history, but we do have ways to find out where we came from.

A dying drug addict (Ella Koon) ran away from San Francisco to Hong Kong to find an online friend she has never met. She meets a bad-tempered man (Teddy Robin) who lives at the Tung Wah Coffin Home withdrawn from society.

A Chinese medicine doctor (Nora Miao), who has been staying in San Francisco for many years, decides to return to Hong Kong when a deed is delivered to her by express courier.

A young man (Lawrence Chou), who hates to carry on his herbal medicine shop family business, finds himself through three women.

The world changes so quickly, and the things we are familiar with can just vanish suddenly.

An encounter with strangers can bring new horizons into their lives.

You can learn to have a new life regardless of your age.

As long as you believe.

Personal Note: Love 懷舊 movies, so I'm looking forward to this and "Bruce Lee, My Brother". :D

Ella's English song sounds very nice. :)

Anyway is quite hard to find information on the movie.. All I get is Jay Chou's song!! Should have used another movie title.

    To Elise:

The first song is Ella's version of "After You've Gone". The original song is by Marion Harris. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA6ulKFXiTA

The second song is "Lovely Smile" by Ketchup.
