Personal Note: Since the series is about Zheng He and Zhu Di, shouldn't Sammul and Joe be main? o_O
I like how the news mentioned that a few of the artistes were uploading pictures to Weibo. He he.... :)
Also, there are too many 'love angles' in here. I don't even know how many. It is always A likes B, B likes C, C likes A, D likes B, E like C, F likes B, and so on!

"Since the series is about Zheng He and Zhu Di, shouldn't Sammul and Joe be main?" -- Not necessarily. The series is about that time period so Zheng He and Zhu Di would be very important of course, but it's also been mentioned that the series is more about case-solving which is where Michael Tse's imperial guard Ao Xiao Feng and Sammul Chan's Zheng He comes into action.
ReplyDeleteThe story revolves around Zheng He and Zhu Di, but, obviously, Michael has an important role.
ReplyDeleteDoes Michael's role exist in history? His character seems as though it's a made-up character. I wouldn't be surprised if it's made-up, as TVB has a tendency to add characters in historical dramas (e.g., Eddie Cheung's character in "Lofty Waters Verdant Bow").
Michael's role is fictional. I'm not so sure that the story revolves around Zheng He and Zhu Di particularly. From all that has been revealed so far it actually looks to me more likely for Michael's fictional character to be the main one. But in any case all 3 actors will probably bear more or less similar weight in this series.
ReplyDeleteIn the Eye of the Beholder was talking about Zheng He too.. I have never studied Chinese history as I live in a western country and I didn't choose history as a subject.
ReplyDeleteBut in ITEOTB they say this Zheng He is muslim and that all the sea voyages were because he was looking for the "White Teeth" (the emperor)... is it true or just fiction?
To lizzy:
ReplyDeleteHe he.... I told my sister that "Beholder" mentioned Zheng He (I only knew that because I watched the NG clips of "Beholder"), too ;)
When it comes to Chinese history, I always ask my friend, as she is very familiar with it. She loves reading! :D I should probably ask her more about it. :)
In Zheng He's wiki page, it does mention that he was a second son of a Muslim family.
