"A Fistful of Stances" Celebrates Kara Hui's Win with High Ratings: The Almighty Kara Hui's Double Win in TV and Movie

The finale of "A Fistful of Stances" received an average of 37 points, and a high of 43 points.

Kara Hui won 'Best Actress' at the first annual "Hong Kong Film Awards". After 28 years, Kara is named 'Best Actress' for her performance in "At the End of Daybreak". After the awards ceremony, Kara met up with friends, family, and the cast of "A Fistful of Stances" at a hot pot restaurant to celebrate her win. She was greeted with a hug from Selena Li, and cheers from all the cast members. Kara then candidly asked, "How much were the ratings?!" Angela Tong then congratulated Kara with a kiss on the lips. Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma then followed by kissing Kara on the cheek.

Personal Note: Congratulations to Kara! A well-deserved 'Best Actress' winner! :D

Ching Wan and Nick are hilarious! :D

I like how the first thing Kara asked the cast of AFOS was how much the ratings were. Because the finale just aired, there was no way of telling how much the ratings were at that time. He he.... But, I'm happy that it did not disappoint, as the finale averaged 37 points, and peaked at 43 points. Congratulations! :D

i felt very happy for Kara and i actually want to really watch the movie "Sum Mor"

btw i didn't understand what was being said after her speech though. Like Teresa Mo came out and they were saying something and then she shouts that she waited 30 years and still hasn't won best actress.. ? and then everyone clapped..Lols I was so lost on the chinese stuff part..lols..

  2. I seldom watch any HK films.. I don't like. I didn't watch the Awards show too, except for the clip you have posted in your posting with Kara's acceptance speech. She was so emotional...
The award presenters Sean Lau and Nick Cheung were very funny in their speeches hahahs.. especially the part where Sean said that he doesn't like to be with Nick at award shows, because he wore this white shirts like a ghost "Doh Sui" him (making him loose too)... etc

Do you know which award show is 'higher' ranked? The HK Film Awards or the Golden Horse? I knew that Kara won "Best Supporting Actress" Golden Horse Award last year for the same movie and now she wins the "Best Actress" for HK Film Awards..
    Congratulations for her win!!

  3. To Lavendar_Bluez:

Teresa was joking, and poking fun at Kara, as this year is the 29th Annual HK Film Awards, and Teresa has not won 'Best Actress'. She joked saying that it has be 30 years and she still hasn't won the award yet. :D Love Teresa! She is super hilarious! :D

    To Lizzy:

I know, Ching Wan and Nick were soooo funny! What about the part where Nick came back and said if he hadn't wore white, people wouldn't have noticed if Ching Wan was even there. Ha ha....

"The Golden Horse Awards" are higher, as it is more Asia based. Also, it "The Golden Horse Awards" started in 1962. It existed before HKFA. :)
