TVB Sales Presentation 2012 Booklet

"Triumph in the Skies II"

Cast: Julian Cheung, Raymond Lam, Fala Chen, Myolie Wu, Ron Ng, Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui, Mimi Lo, Geoffrey Wong, Rebecca Zhu, MC Jin, Nancy Wu, William Chak, Daniel Chau, Tina Shek

hyn5: It is evident that this series has not been confirmed, as it doesn't even have a proper synopsis, but surprised that Francis Ng was shown in the clip as well.

"Detective Columbo"

Cast: Wayne Lai, Louise Lee, Tavia Yeung, Evergreen Mak, Tsui Wing

hyn5: This series reminds me of "Old Time Buddy - To Catch a Thief" and "Super Snoops". Since Lee Tim Sing will be retiring after his contract with TVB ends at the end of 2012, this will most likely be his last production.

"The Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang"

Cast: Bosco Wong, Ruco Chan, Aimee Chan, Natalie Tong, Lily Ho, KK Cheung, Oceane Zhu, Mat Yeung

hyn5: The Cantonese title of this series is "Yau Yeung Jaap Joh", which sounds so 囧! When I first saw the filming pics, thought that it was about the pirate Cheung Bo Jai. Doubt that this series will actually get filmed....

"4 in Love"

Cast: Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Kenny Wong, King Kong, Rachel Kan, Wai Ka Hung, Elvina Kong, Tracy Ip, Lau Dan, Mary Hon, Stephen Huynh, Patrick Dunn

hyn5: Not interested in this series, but the genre is a nice change for Chik.

"Special Duties Unit"

Cast: Joe Ma, Jessica Hsuan, Kenneth Ma, Kenny Wong, Him Law, Vincent Wong, Dominic Lam, Mandy Wong, Christine Kuo, JJ Jia

hyn5: Can't wait to see this series! :)

"Lucky Father"

Cast: Ha Yu, Steven Ma, Linda Chung, Edwin Siu, Evergreen Mak, Nancy Wu, Cilla Kung, Chow Chung

hyn5: Not looking forward to this series, since it seems to be a typical family drama revolving around fathers from Mui Siu Ching.

"36 Hours on Call"

Cast: Kenneth Ma, Tavia Yeung, Him Law, Mandy Wong, Benjamin Yuen, Gigi Wong, Derek Kwok, Ben Wong, Paisley Hu, Candy Chang

hyn5: Tavia's character has an illness in here?

"The Dazzling Dance of Chang'an"

Cast: Bobby Au Yeung, Myolie Wu, Linda Chung, Sire Ma, Evergreen Mak, Angela Tong, Grace Wong, Yoyo Chen, JJ Jia, KK Cheung

hyn5: Don't like the current Chinese title of this series, as it neither flows well nor fits with its comedic genre.

"Prominent Family"

Cast: Damian Lau, Idy Chan, Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma, Fala Chen, Ron Ng, Elena Kong, Mary Hon, Shek Sau, Lau Kong, Vincent Wong, Sire Ma, JJ Jia, Charmaine Li

hyn5: Initially thought that Elena was Nancy Wu in the promotional poster! :P

"King Makers"

Cast: Wayne Lai, Kent Cheng, Kristal Tin, Ngo Ka Nin, Lai Lok Yi, Natalie Tong, Elaine Yiu, Patrick Tang, Kingdom Yuen, Florence Kwok, Lee Kwok Lun, Kwok Fung

hyn5: Hope that this script is better than "The Life and Times of a Sentinel"....

"Thunderous Drug Raid"

Cast: Michael Miu, Roger Kwok, Kevin Cheng, Kate Tsui, Joyce Tang, Jazz Lam

hyn5: Michael already confirmed that he will be filming this series in January.

"War and Beauty II"

Cast: Sheren Tang, Ada Choi, Moses Chan, Astrid Chan, Tracy Ip, Elaine Yiu, Katy Kung, Christine Kuo, Rachel Kan

hyn5: Hope to be able to see Sheren and Ada's collaboration! :)

  1. You're pretty fast typing out all the names!! :D

  2. To Hyn5: Do you know why Maggie Cheung has no sales presentation? I thought Stairway to Heaven was one of them.

  3. Prominent,King Makers,OnCall36 and Eunuch is the series I'll look forward too.Although Ma Ming would be in 3Kingdom but I don't think I would really like historical series.

  4. is the sale presentation booklet the same as what they showed at the sale presentation show? can't wait to watch I looking forward to ATF and 3 Kingdoms, both has Ruco and both have interesting topic. Especially since I'm not familiar with Chinese history though I heard they changed some history due to the existence of Kenneth's character probably to make it less predictable.

  5. To Sport3888: Yes the Sales Presentation Booklet is the same as the show. They gave this booklet to every customers there (advertisers, sponsors, other companies). During the broadcast of the clips, these costumers could check the booklet for details on the drama and programmes.

This time the booklet got 12 dramas, half of them already wrapped up filming or in the progress of filming. The other half are mostly confirmed to film in November (PF) or next year, except for "The Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang".

  6. I'm actually quite interested in all of them except "4 in Love" and "Lucky Father". I'm a bit iffy about "36 Hours on Call" - for some reason, that drama just screams bad writing to me. But the others do look captivating. I'm especially looking forward to WAB2, "The King Makers", and Bobby's drama!

  7. I think I'm the most excited to see Triumph 2 if that even gets made, Detective Columbo, Dazzling Dance and Thunderous Drug Raid as long as Joyce Tang and Roger are still in it.

The Bosco/Ruco/Aimee series looks pretty horrible so I hope they don't make it and go with another concept instead. Maybe a wuxia series? Please! lol

  8. I don't think they will make the Bosco/Ruco/Aimee series. I bet the series will be filled with horrible CGI and look terrible.

I look forward for WAB2, SDU, Lucky Father and Prominent Family. These ones look good. 36 Hours On Call look decent too because Kenneth is the lead and it's a medical drama

  9. Thanks for the sharing. I am excited and looking forward to Wayne's performance in 3 different roles he is playing. I am excited because he always deliver exceptional good results. TQVM! :)
