Yes, it will be weird to watch it without the original cast.

  3. This is a spin-off version of the original series right? If that's the case, then I hope FH3 is only just a temporary title.

  4. Is Charmaine Sheh still in this?

  5. I hope Charmaine doesn't dominate the whole series again

This is a new story. They just want to continue on with the "Forensic" franchise, similar to "Detective Investigation Files IV".

    To Anonymous:

Yes, Charmaine is in here. As I had mentioned in my personal note, she won't be back for the fitting, as she is still filming in Mainland.

    To Selina:

Since Charmaine is playing a pathologist this time, her role shouldn't get as much screen time (based on the previous installments). Hope that the screen time will be more evenly distributed....

  7. I hope it will be more even too. I don't have anything against Charmaine but I found that it's annoying and make a series bad if a TVB series focus a lot on one character only. A few investigation series last year got complained because of the imbalance in screentime and development ie MOL-Tavia, EMYM-Bowie.

Gun Metal Grey did a quite nice job balancing the screentime between the main plot, subplots and cases. I like the story better this way.

I actually like EMYM's way of character development a lot. It's not completely there, but I could still feel what the characters are going through. The story focuses more on the cases instead of character drama, which can sometimes be VERY boring. In GMG, I've had to skip through some scenes (most of them about Nancy Wu's character, lol) because those scenes were just so boring to me.

  9. EMYM what happened was all characters lacked development and became 2nd dimensional! It didn't make you care for any of the characters at all! Rather I cared more for the "criminals" like Halina and Ruco. Seriously the "criminals" of the cases were more interesting than the supposed "main characters" in EMYM. Same goes for Mysteries of Love with worst storyline than EMYM.
