- This remake hopes to use 3D techniques to create a new image. Half a year is required for post-production.
- The 20-episode series will be separated into three stories. There will be the addition of modern relationships.
- The series starts off with prince Stanley Cheung and princess Katy Kung. The two connect the series until the end, completing the three stories in a deserted city.
- Many cast members will play multiple characters.
- Wayne Lai will play Chu Yi Dan (朱爾旦), who has a simple personality, and Lip Wu (獵戶). One is a kindhearted scholar who loves small animals; he and Sonija Kwok will also play a married couple. He mistakes himself as having the ability to hatch eggs. He and Sonija have been married for a number of years. Because he finds it boring, he goes out to occasionally join in the fun, reflecting modern people's marital relationships. His character was originally a very simple person; however, one time, he was brought to a brothel, where he met a prostitute, even hoping for the prostitute and his wife to switch identities. In the end, many problems arise.
- Sonija will play Wayne's wife, as well as a prostitute.
- Kristal Tin will play a general elder brother and a younger sister who have separate romances with Raymond Wong. There will be a male look, a female look, a male pretending to be a female, a female pretending to be a male, etc.
- Raymond Wong will play two characters. One is a scholar with amnesia who has a romance with the younger sister Kristal. Later, he is a Liao Kingdom prince who has a male romance with the elder brother Kristal.
- Bosco Wong will just play a poor scholar. He and Eliza Sam will play a pair.
- Eliza will play a cute and playful carp spirit (鯉魚精) and a mean rich girl, who both fight over Bosco. She is originally a 500-year-old carp spirit but becomes a rich girl to pursue Bosco. Afterward, there is a prenatal betrothal.
- Katy will play the green bird princess (青鳥公主). Although she becomes a bird, she still likes humans.
- Lee Kwok Lun will play Kau Chin Sui (九千歲) and Judge Bao.
- Raymond Chiu will play a black snake. He is a major villain.
- Joyce Koi will play the Goddess of Mercy.

hahah the characters and relations seems so confusing, multiple story lines and playing multiple characters, i'm bound to be confused =P hopefully they do a good job of telling each story and making it distinct.
