"A Fistful of Stances" AOD Opening Theme Video

"Think Under the Snow" - Kevin Cheng

Personal Note: I like how the lyrics are posted up after I've finished typing them myself! :)

The theme song is actually not bad! From the title, I had an idea that the theme would be very similar to the theme song of "Rosy Business". It still sounds a little bit like it though. :D

Also, why did Kevin Cheng have to scream in the middle of the song?!

The last character is 厚 (hau), but it sounds as though Kevin Cheng sang it as 紅 (hung). o_O

  1. Ah.. luckily no kungfu song (like Real Kung Fu and Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu) hahas! :) The music resembles Rosy Business' a little bit.
I really think that Eva Chan (陳詩慧) is talented, almost every TVB themesong is written by her, Rosy Business' too.

The scream in the middle is so weird, it doesn't fit the song at all, but it does fit the themevideo (the clips).

It's funny to see Tavia run and then turn into Yuen Chau.

In the character introduction part, they didn't introduce Dominic and Jacky Heung the same way like they did with Yuen Chau, Kevin, Kenneth, Stephen, Jazz, Shirley, Natalie, Selena... Because of the way they did, it can give people the wrong impression that Stephen, Jazz and Natalie are more important than Dominic (which is not the case).

  2. And I don't like the fact that the video is so dark! It doesn't fit my website colors.. (http://selena-li.com/en/2010/a-fistful-of-stances-themevideo/) hahas..

I like Rosy Business' themevideo more; better transition effects.

  3. I'd think TVB made a typo on the theme video as the last line, I'd say, is 如白雪漸變紅, not 如白雪漸變厚. Sounds better... the white snow is becoming red (blood).

  4. i agree i think they made a typo on the last character... the themesong does resemble rosy business a little bit. the tavia -> yuen chau transition in the themevideo was interesting :P i can't wait to see kenneth and selena's characters/relationship storyline in the drama :D

Ha ha.... Maybe you'll change your layout colours to a a darker colour. ;)

The Tavia-Yuen Chau transition was pretty awesome. :D

Also, I too like the theme video for "Rosy" much better. :D

Even though this song sounds similar to "Rosy", but I still like it. However, there were a few of notes that Kevin Cheng could work on.

    To cx839:

I don't think the song is about bloodshed. It can also mean "The snow is becoming thicker". However, I do know if there is a profound meaning behind it.

    To turtle88:

Touche! When I first heard about this, I was already looking forward to Ma Ming and Selena! :D But, after reading their character descriptions, it even makes the anticipation even bigger. :D

  6. The themevideo is quite interesting, I like the transition of Tavia and Yuen Chau, this once again tells the audiences that Tavia's character is very important.
But comparing this to Rosy Business's one, I like Rosy Business one more, because it is more creative and the non-moving pictures.

Comparing the themesong, I think I like Red Butterfly more, since it has more meaning in it. But I still need to watch the series before making any assumption about meanings since "A Fistful of Stances" hasn't come out yet.
