Summary:

Earlier, the cast of "The Flying Fish in Winter" flew to Hokkaido to outdoor scenes for a month.

Tavia Yeung and Michael Tse filmed a kiss scene at Otaru Hokkaido's train station.

Both of them may seem to be enjoying this, but at the time, their lips had hardened from the -5 degrees Celsius weather. In order to film in -5 weather, Tavia had prepared eight warm packs underneath her clothes. The director was very caring toward Tavia and Michael, as he had them rehearsing indoors for the scene. When it was time to film outdoors, Michael's entire body had hardened as if it was frozen. The kissing scene NG-ed four times before the director was satisfied with it.

Michael said, "I was so cold that I couldn't even say my dialogue, and I had to kiss Tavia, too. When I kissed her, Tavia pushed me away and asked, "Why are your lips so hard?" Not only were my lips hard, buy my entire body had turned into a popsicle. Luckily, the crew gave us ten cans of hot drinks after filming that scene to warm up. I never thought that wearing clothes would be colder than not wearing any clothes because there was a scene where Chi Lam and I filmed an outdoor hot springs scene, and it was way more comfortable than the kissing scene with Tavia at Otaru".

Tavia and Myolie Wu also filmed a hot springs scene, but they did not have to face the cold winds because they enjoyed the hot springs indoors. Tavia said, "Filming this scene is way more comfortable than kissing Michael!" Myolie revealed that, after filming this scene, Tavia had fallen in love with the hot springs. When they had free time, they would meet up to go enjoy the hot springs together. They also said that the hot springs have made their skin whiter and smoother.

Tavia places a hot canned drink by her chest to keep warm. Michael points at it and says, "Wow! Why does your chest have an extra bump?"

Chi Lam and Myolie film near Sapporo. They are shivering from the cold.

hanami06
Chi Lam and Myolie film in front of Hakadate.

hanami07
Chi Lam and Damian Lau film at Otaru harbour.

hanami08
Chi Lam, Myolie, and Damian film the process of buying tuna in Sapporo.

In "The Flying Fish in Winter", Michael and Chi Lam play step brothers (same father, different mother).

Personal Note: Is this series really only 20 episodes long?
