Artistes Moses Chan, Jessica Hsuan, Bella Lam, Bob Cheung, Derek Wong, and Raymond Chiu appeared to work on TVB's new series, "Armed Reaction 2020". Moses, who has not had a new project for two years, laughingly said that he had three series lined up for release. Speaking of the novel coronavirus outbreak, was there worry about doing location filming on busy streets with people coming and going? He frankly said that there was: "As actors, there is no way that [we] would be able to wear face masks. (Your children would throw themselves at you when you return home after work?) Would! But tell them not to. Before going through the door, would spray disinfectant and shower before playing with them". Jessica laughingly said that this does not work on her dogs: "Regardless of what I say, they would still throw themselves at me. Can only avoid them, and go wash my hands first".

Holding Back from Rubbing Eyes

Asked whether there would be reduced contact when filming the series, they expressed that it would be very difficult: "The location of filming is quite open...quite difficult to prevent. The series crew would also choose to film at places where no diagnosed cases have occurred. Trying to be careful because, as long as something happens to one person, then everyone would get it. Would have hand sanitizers on hand, and take basic hygiene measures". If there are intimate scenes, would they be filmed using camera angles? Jessica expressed that there are none for the time being: "Even if there are, would not be filmed yet. Also, do not rub your eyes and face, but the more [I] talk about it, the itchier it gets". [She] continued saying that everyone should not panic excessively: "I am very much leaving it to fate. If one were to get it, may even get it despite wearing a face mask. Feel that this epidemic situation is considered to be well-controlled in Hong Kong. I also use a cloth face mask when I go out. After using it, would wash it and then disinfect it. The surgical masks are reserved for emergency use. (Could not get face masks, so [you] have to use cloth face masks?) No, but really don't know if surgical masks really do guard against everything. A friend did ask me whether I wanted to buy it; I am the one who is not buying yet...leaving it to those who need it. It's like toilet paper and bleach....okay as long as there is enough. Don't make a mess of a situation. If not filming, would go out less".

Enduring Hardships with Employees

Talking about the market deteriorating due to the impact of the outbreak, Moses frankly said that business has declined for his coffee shop, and even used 'hurt' to describe it, but he immediately consoled himself: "The drop is large, but it's okay. Have discussed lowering the lease amount with the landlord; hope that it is successful. (What self-help methods are there?) Feel that I am quite strong on the defense. Confident that [we] can overcome this difficulty. The employees and I are helping each other". Did you ask the employees to take unpaid leave? Moses said that he would not reduce any of the employees' benefits: "There is already not a lot of people in the shop. Only three or four. If there were a reduction, when the market gets better later, it would be very difficult to get back on track. Know that employees must be happy in order for them to put effort into their work". Jessica highly praised him as being a good boss, and said that her domestic helper prefers staying at home even on vacation; she also does not mind.

Moses laughingly said that school is currently suspended for his three children; they are entertaining themselves every day: "I am very lucky. They would not kick up a fuss about going out. Luckily, they have companions, so they can go crazy playing. Aimee (Chan) also bakes things with them. We also teach them how to do their homework. Have gotten busier, and there is also a bigger responsibility".
