July Series 《特技人》 "Stunt Performer" Info

CREDIT IF REPOSTED

Temporary Chinese title: 《特技人》
Pinyin title: Dak Gei Yan
Temporary English title: "Stunt Performer"
Producer: Wong Wai Yan

- Filming commences in the beginning of July.
- The series is about stunt performers who are unsung heroes with loyalty, so the series wants to talk about what they do behind the scenes.
- The producer does not want to make the story too tragic. Even if it is not a happy ending, it will be more inspirational. The damages to the body may be explained, but tragedies will not be described much.
- The actors who are portraying stunt performers have to do car stunts, motorcycle stunts, and jump off buildings, but there will be doubles for the most extreme stunts.
- Shaun Tam and Rebecca Zhu are the leads. Kelvin Kwan, Kelly Fu, and Ken Law are also taking part.
- Shaun will have more of a story, which is similar to "All About Ah Long" and is more pitiful.
- Rebecca will have many dangerous action scenes and wire scenes. The most extreme will be doing mid-air splits.

Personal Note: Rather unexpected casting for the leads, especially Rebecca, since it did not seem that TVB was pushing her up to leading roles, but then, many artistes seem to be preoccupied with other series. Also, with the female lead having a lot of action scenes, the pool of suitable candidates seems limited, so Rebecca's casting makes sense given her dance background.
