Raymond Lam shot MTR's new set of new railway commercials, 《尋．未來記》, as 「寡人」. This time, for the first time in 24 years, Raymond is appearing on screen as the domineering 「寡人」, travelling alongside major MTR projects through the present and future.
Apart from "A Step into the Past"'s 「寡人」, his classic "Heart of Greed" CP partner, Linda Chung, [also] appeared as the classic character 「常在心」, pushing a stroller and calling for 「管家佬」, and continued the legendary counting-the-days plotline, "300 Days Since Having My Son, Sunny" as its opening line, creating a crossover between the classic characters from the two installments of "Heart", giving series fans the ultimate finale for this classic couple in a parallel universe, rekindling everyone's love for this CP.
Raymond expressed that, playing 「寡人」 travelling through time, he relived old memories of riding the MTR to go to school. He laughingly said that he is no stranger to Kwu Tung because this place is a famous spot for ancient filming...never imagined that a Kwu Tung Station would appear in the future. Raymond laughingly said, "Okay if filming modern, but [if] filming ancient, it doesn't make sense to wear a headpiece to ride the transit. It's also not impossible, but it would be a little strange!"
Raymond also said, "When I was filming 'Heart' back then, originally thought that it would just be a cameo, and [I] had never played a role where I was just responsible for dating. Back then, was working with Linda every day. Little did [I] know, as filming progressed, the scenes kept piling up, but was also very happy to be able to create a character that viewers would remember!"
Linda has not filmed a series with Raymond in a while; old memories flooded back after seeing 「管家佬」's classic plaid shirt: "At that time, for us, the 'Heart' installments really helped us a lot in our careers. Now, 20 years later, also still able to come back together to shoot a commercial that seems like a sequel. Also feels very wonderful!"
Linda expressed that she usually rides the MTR. If [she] is wearing makeup, [she] would show herself graciously, but would have [her] head down if [she] is bare-faced: "I also usually take my kids on the MTR; this a distinguishing feature of Hong Kong! Plus, I would also let them know that their mom learned how to speak Cantonese by riding the transit, like 「將軍澳, 旺角」...can see a lot of Chinese characters".
