TVB series "Who Wants a Baby?", starring Ali Lee and Lai Lok Yi, was successful in terms of ratings and feedback, and it also made Ali become 'TV Queen'. Shooting for the sequel with the original cast was planned to commence at the end of September; unfortunately, it was previously rumoured that Ali had been banned by Mainland after being embroiled in a political controversy, and has even been frozen by TVB. Even her advertisements for Alipay, in which she is the spokesperson, and a makeup brand have been removed. TVB had already planned to shoot a sequel to "Who" early on, but it was delayed due to the actors' schedules. Now, a complete cast change has been decided. The story still has the theme of babies; however, the leads will be changed to Kenneth Ma and Eliza Sam. This will be Eliza's comeback project after giving birth. Ali will continue being frozen, and Lai Lok Yi has also been dragged down.

Kenneth Ma Taking Over: 'Would Be Happy to Film, Of Course'

Regarding this, Ali accepted on.cc's interview: "Heard that there would be some changes, but I did not hear about how it would be changed. Also heard that it would not be filmed yet. There are major conflicts in my schedule. I also can't handle filming a 25-episode series after filming 30. (Lai Lok Yi has been dragged down?) No need to worry! He has a lot of variety programmes. The company also has a lot of series, so not scared of not having work. Every actor has his or her value and will be put to good use". However, Lai Lok Yi admitted that it was a pity but also understood that no one wanted it to happen. He said, "'Who' is my and Ali's masterpiece. Actually, it is not good to film a sequel with someone missing. It would not be the same, so filming with other people is the right thing to do. Using a completely new lineup and story to look at it. Actually, there is also pressure in filming a sequel. Also okay like this now. There are good memories".

In an interview, Kenneth frankly said that he had not received the company's notice. He is currently busy filming "Line Walker III" and has to film until the end of the year: "I have not officially received a notification. If the company arranges it, then we have to film it. Would be happy to film, of course. (Collaborating with Eliza!) I also collaborated with her before. She is an actor who can make her colleagues feel comfortable". Eliza did not reply before the deadline.

Personal Note: Eliza was actually initially considered for the female lead role in "Who" but did not have the time to film the series, so the role eventually went to Ali. Now, for the second installment, the role has fallen back into Eliza's hands....
