The TVB series "Themis" aired its finale tonight. The executive producer, Chung Shu Kai, led the cast and crew, including Charmaine Sheh, Alice Chan, Patrick Tam, Chow Ka Lok, Mark Ma, Joman Chiang, Samantha Lau, Amber Chan, Carmen Ngai, et al., to a shopping mall to watch the finale. "Themis" has been receiving a hot response after its broadcast. Apart from becoming the top-rated [series] in the first half of the year, it has accumulated over 420 million views on a Mainland streaming platform. Thus, TVB is taking advantage of the situation to film the prequel "Model Lawyer Team", focusing on Alice Chan's character, revealing her mysterious past as she transforms into 「高淑樺」 and becomes a mother. Apart from having several court cases as stories, it will also interweave the open and veiled strife among lawyers for the position of chief lawyer, shifting the battleground from the juvenile court of "Themis" to the adult courtroom. The script production is currently in full swing, with filming tentatively scheduled to commence in June, which is earlier than the spin-off of "The QUEEN of News", "Information Officer Hui Si Ching", starring Samantha Ko.

No Difficulty in Playing a Lawyer Again

Reportedly, ["The Radiant City"] already started planning and invited a group of actors at the end of last year, especially keeping close contact with Julian [Cheung]. The trailer of "Radiant" appeared on TVB at the beginning of this year, which immediatedly sparked heated discussions among series fans; however, the start of filming was always all talk. Ben Wong has become a boss, investing seven figures into opening a beauty centre. Many people in the industry came to congratulate him, including Esther Kwan, Bobby Au Yeung, Flora Chan, Tavia Yeung, Roger Kwok, Adia Chan, Alice Chan, Joyce Tang, Elena Kong, Helen Tam, Raymond Cho, Evergreen Mak, et al., creating the reunion of the classic combinations of "Armed Reaction", "A Kindred Spirit", "Flash Fax", etc.

Old partners Bobby and Esther were humourously teasing each other the entire time. It was just starting, and Bobby first revealed that, when he went to Esther's house for a New Year visit the year before, she welcomed the guests in a trendy night gown, evening calling it 'Dressing Gown 1"! However, Esther immediately denied this.

Continuing the "Armed Reaction" Combination

Regarding whether the "Armed" combination would have another continuation, Bobby frankly said that he has always thought about it, worrying that, if filming does not start soon, the viewers will no longer recognize him. He even highly praised Ben as being ageless, being even younger than his "Kindred" days. After hearing this, Esther also highly praised Bobby for maintaining himself well. Bobby immediately revealed that he has done some 'fine-tuning' and even humourously said, "Fine-tuning is not necessarily becoming thinner. I previously became thinner; friends thought that something was wrong with me, so I got fatter!"

Waiting for a Good Script to Make a Comeback

Esther frankly said that, if she were to encounter a good script, she would definitely make a comeback and film a series again, and she certainly wants to collaborate with Bobby again, and suddenly wants to portray a policewoman with superpowers from outer space, and even laughingly said that she wants more gun shooting and action scenes.

Fought Over a Children's Programme with Stephen Chow Back Then

Regarding Bobby wanting to join in upon seeing the group of former children's programme hosts taking a picture on the stage, he frankly said that, back then, he also interviewed for a children's programme along with Stephen Chow but did not make it in the end. Afterward, Bobby revealed that, when he was working with Chow Yun Fat and Tony Leung in the TVB series "Angels and Devils", he and Stephen were playing rebellious youths, and even interviewed for a children's programme together. He said, "I wanted to join! Stephen didn't want to join, but he was chosen. (Why did you want to join so badly?) Because [you] would get popular after joining the children's programme for a half year!" Esther immediately teased him, saying that he has already been popular for decades. Back then, Bobby did not make it because he did not wake up in time for the daytime recording. The two also laughed at each other's looks as being a white girl and a black person.

Roger Kwok Would Rather Starve to Death Than Eat Tavia Yeung's Cooking

Tavia struck first, taking the initiative of asking Ben to sponsor treatments. Afterward, she said that she has already built good relations with the centre's doctors and therapists, and will later be going to accept treatments without paying.

Roger expressed that he intends to collaborate with Tavia on a cart noodles business, but Tavia is worried about going out of business. Does Tavia cook usually? She said, "I am not a 'Hell's Kitchen Goddess'...okay at cooking! My best dishes are tomato-potato soup, stir-fried beef with vegetables, and meat patties". After hearing this, Roger expressed wanting to throw up.

When Tavia was asked whether her husband, Him Law, has tried her cooking, she said, "He always says to my mom that he would later starve to death because my mom usually does not let me go into the kitchen. Cook for Roger next time!" However, Roger frankly said that he would rather starve to death than be willing to try Tavia's cooking, causing Tavia to not know whether to laugh or cry.

Annie Liu, Chrissie Chau, Alice Chan, and Candy Lo were in Tseung Kwan O TVB City filming the 'Sales Presentation 2017' promotional clip for the new series "Deep Palace Scheme". Chrissie and Annie are filming a TVB series for the first time. Chrissie frankly said that she felt happy and uneasy: "Actually, always wanted to try filming palace series. Did not have an opportunity before. Feel that the costumes are very pretty. Uneasy because of not yet knowing the weight of those head accessories, but I will protect my cervical vertebrae well". Regarding Charmaine Sheh previously injuring her cervical vertebrae due to filming ancient series, Annie is also worried about affecting the waist area. May try using a paper towel roll to support the chin to reduce the pressure when sleeping then, and surf the Internet to learn warm-up exercises to protect the cervical vertebrae.

Annie Liu Challenging Fight Scenes and the Splits

Chrissie said that, when she was approached, she did not think of raising particular requests..only thought that the role was very good and the personality was very cute: "'Beyond the Realm of Conscience' back then, already thought that these palace battles were very interesting. This time, I am portraying an imperial concubine, but it is not a historical figure, so still conceptualizing it". Regarding having to face a hell-like schedule, Chrissie expressed that it was okay, and she is not worried about on-the-spot scripts. Annie also said that she talked with them before; unless there are special circumstances, there would be no on-the-spot scripts. The series is using the Tang Dynasty as the background. Will the costumes be rather sexy to accommodate history? Annie frankly said, "I also thought that it was so. During the script reading, saw 1/30th of the costumes...within my boundaries. Quite low-cut, but the TV has its boundaries". Chrissie said three times consecutively that the most important was being pretty. Annie also revealed that, in the series, she becomes a princess in the end, not lacking fight scenes in the process: "Have to do the splits in the series. This is the one requirement for the series and for myself. If I am able to do the splits, many of the shots can be done in one take. At first, I also said I am okay with me hitting people or others hitting me. This is my one challenge this time".

Candy Lo Returns to TVB After 23 Years: Scared

Candy and Alice previously collaborated at ATV. Collaborating again this time, Candy expressed that there was a cordial feeling. The biggest challenge was filming an ancient series for the first time, so she also has to work out beforehand. Does she need to be sexy in the series? Alice frankly said that, compared to other series, it is slightly sexier, but extravagance is the most important. Candy expressed that, after seeing a portion of the costumes, felt that it was very pretty, so she is greatly anticipating it. Returning to TVB to film series after 23 years? Candy laughingly said that she was also scared upon hearing the number. This series also disrupted her plans, even disrupting her dating plans. Alice suggested that she tell Producer Mui Siu Ching to add dating scenes; Candy felt that this suggestion was not bad.
