Kenneth Ma Rumoured to Have Good News Approaching and Is Unable to Accept New Series, Joe Ma Making a Comeback as the Fourth Choice

TVB series have been receiving ordinary ratings in the past six months, even changing the focus on the release of ratings results the other day such that a lot of the ratings points will not be announced. Previously, "Stranger Anniversary", starring Joe Ma and Roxanne Tong, was condensed by TVB from its original 25 episodes to 20 episodes and had an early finale in order to go against ViuTV's "Inevitable"; the full version was arranged to broadcast on myTV SUPER afterward. At the time, some netizens criticized it as being a pity, and believed that the actors' efforts were wasted. Joe, who played two characters in the series, had it the worst, as the role difficulty was high, and his performance was also on point. At the time, he was asked whether he was disappointed with this arrangement, and he also simply responded, 'people know the warmth or coolness of water after drinking it', saying that there are always highs and lows in life.
Ruco Chan Goes Up North, Benjamin Yuen Busy Releasing an Album
However, this matter has not been a blow to Joe, as he will start filming the new series "Goodbye, Bed Partner" with Mandy Wong and Kelly Cheung next month. Originally, there were intentions to find Ruco Chan, Benjamin Yuen, and Kenneth Ma for this role, but Ruco is currently filming the new series "Hong Kong People in Beijing" with Jinny Ng in Mainland, while Benjamin has also signed with a record company; he will be releasing an album and is busy with its production. As for Kenneth, who was always filming one series after another earlier and was bled dry and drained by TVB, is unable to do it because he has other jobs.
Joe's attitude was quite positive when he accepted an interview, and pointed out that he has always faced things with a normal heart. When asked if he has been traumatized and under pressure due to "Stranger" ending early previously, he said, "Actually, I quite like the theme of 'Stranger'. It was also a new attempt and breakthrough in my performing arts work because my characters have always leaned toward tough and uniform style. The ratings of 'Stranger' were not ideal, but under the current environment, the ratings of most of the series are almost the same. I also responded before...have always faced it with 'a normal heart is the way', but very grateful that the feedback was good. During the broadcast, a lot of friends and viewers also liked it and cheered for us". He also pointed out that the script this time is extremely suspenseful and exciting with a high binge-watchability. There is a lot of foreshadowing, mainly depicting the weaknesses of human nature! He said, "I am looking forward to it very much, and the first time I worked with Mandy was almost 14 or 15 years ago in 'When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West'. There weren't that many partnering scenes; however, at the time, already felt that she stood out very much. Later, worked together again in 'Tiger Cubs', but it was mostly group scenes. Fortunate to have many partnering scenes this time. Believe that there will definitely be sparks".
As for Kenneth not being able to film "Goodbye", and his girlfriend, Roxanne, saying when she attended a wedding event last month that marriage could be carefully considered as the pandemic situation has subsided, one cannot help but think that good news is approaching for the two. However, when asking Kenneth for confirmation, he immediately laughingly said, "Certainly not so! Everyone has too much of an imagination! Actually, I have also not heard of the (new series') story. "Stranger Anniversary" Cutting Five Episodes and Ending Early

The ratings of the TVB series "Stranger Anniversary", starring Joe Ma and Roxanne Tong, have been so-so since its broadcast. TVB has made new changes. TVB Jade will have a special new programme change arrangement on May 30th. "Stranger", originally airing Mondays to Fridays at 9:30pm, will be condensed into 20 episodes. After the finale on May 27th, the full 25 episodes will be arranged to broadcast on myTV SUPER. Contacting the lead Roxanne, she expressed, "I have not heard about it...really don't know about it. I have never asked about the post-production. After the completion of filming, promotions are our responsibility, but would have a normal attitude for other things and would not care too much". When asked if [she] would be catching the ending on myTV SUPER, she expressed, "Won't be for the time being. Have recently been working on 'Secret Door' every day. Have to catch up on that time when it was halted previously. Will catch up when the series is done around June". Contacting the producer Lam Chi Wah, he left the message on read and did not respond.
Joe expressed in a reply to on.cc: "Disappointed or not? Know the warmth or coolness of water after drinking it! As for the low ratings, there are always highs and lows in life; however, the series has not finished broadcasting yet...can't make a conclusion too early! Continuing the Fantasy Craze! Joe Ma Taking the Baton from "Barrack O'Karma 1968" and Fighting with Himself

Joe Ma and Alice Chan Both Urge to Get Married and to Have Kids, Roxanne Tong Gives Blessings to Jacqueline Wong and Lai Man Wang

The two female leads of the TVB series "Twin Strangers", Roxanne Tong and Alice Chan, were doing location filming at Kowloon City Ferry Pier the other night. The plot was about Roxanne breaking a bottle and putting it to William Chak's neck in order to rescue her lover, Joe Ma. Roxanne was so crazy that her veins even popped out...was extremely immersed in the scene! However, William, who was close to the wine bottle held by Roxanne, was slightly scared because Roxanne is known to clumsy. Even when filming at a farm, would also accidentally step on the handle of an axe, causing the entire axe to fly in the air; luckily, no one got hurt.
Dating First
It was rapidly circulated that Roxanne and Kenneth [Ma] are secretly getting married this month. Roxanne strongly denied, "I have to head straight into a new team afterward. Still dating first. The two female leads of the TVB series "Twin Strangers", Roxanne Tong and Alice Chan, were doing location filming at Kowloon City Ferry Pier the other night. The plot was about Roxanne breaking a bottle and putting it to William Chak's neck in order to rescue her lover, Joe Ma. Roxanne was so crazy that her veins even popped out...was extremely immersed in the scene! However, William, who was close to the wine bottle held by Roxanne, was slightly scared because Roxanne is known to clumsy. Even when filming at a farm, would also accidentally step on the handle of an axe, causing the entire axe to fly in the air; luckily, no one got hurt.
Dating First
It was rapidly circulated that Roxanne and Kenneth [Ma] are secretly getting married this month. Roxanne strongly denied, "I have to head straight into a new team afterward. Still dating first. Have not said that getting married is a must. Also need some time to (get to know). Cannot yet". Roxanne even revealed that she and Kenneth have nothing to quarrel about: "I get very mad, but he is not like this. He does not have many emotional ups and downs". The two big TV kings Bobby Au Yeung and Joe Ma went to TVB City to promote the new series "Shadow of Justice", which is broadcasting next week. Female lead Joey Meng, who could not attend, 'showed up' as a cardboard cutout and shot a clip beforehand. Mat Yeung did not attend as well. The last time the two male leads collaborated was "Armed Reaction II", which was already over 20 years ago. Joe said that he remembers collaborating in "Taming of the Princess": "At the time, I was still a seventh-, eighth-, or ninth-tier actor. Already very happy to be able to work with Bobby. Artiste Joe Ma will start filming Producer Lam Chi Wah's new series in April, and is even officially partnering Alice Chan for the first time. The two have a lot of partnering scenes. This series is an urban fantasy series. Joe is even challenging playing two roles. In an interview with on.cc, he said, "It is quite strenuous having to play two roles. Have to do two sets of homework, and there are a lot of switching parts in the plot of the series. I have also been exercising more recently to prepare. Alice frankly said in an interview that she has a lot of scenes with Joe; however, they did go to the US for a stage performance before.

"Flying Tiger 3" Starts Shooting at the End of May, Joe Ma and Eddie Cheung Return

Shaw Brothers' "Flying Tiger" series had great achievements before, as there were endless topics during the broadcast period, and the online platform also set a lot of records. The second installment, "Flying Tiger 2", is also scheduled to premiere on TVB Jade on May 18th, while the third installment, "Flying Tiger 3", is said to start shooting at the end of May. The cast lineup keeps growing: apart from original team members Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, and Oscar Leung, Joe Ma, who has always been TVB's 'Special Duties Unit (SDU) Icon', and good actor Eddie Cheung, who took part in the first installment, will also 'return' to the shoot. Together with Michael, [they] will lead the juniors to continue their operations. This time, the female lead is Jeannie Chan, who is being promoted by Shaw Brothers.
Joe has always been TVB's 'SDU Icon'. Officially 'returning' this time, he frankly said that he is very happy. He said, "Actually, Miss [Virginia] Lok also looked for me for the first and second installments; however, at the time, I was filming Mainland series. There were schedule conflicts, so [I] could not film. I am also really looking forward to the start of filming because everyone is a familiar acting partner in the series. Believe that it will be filmed happily". Joe expressed that, due to the pandemic, previously, many commercial performances in Mainland were postponed. Would go hiking with his wife in his spare time. Now that he is a vegetarian, his health has clearly gotten better. When asked whether vegetarianism would affect muscle growth, he said, "That's why [I] would eat more healthy plants like chickpeas and quinoa, so as to absorb protein. Hope that the condition is better. (Have been working out?) Have to. Have to pick my physical fitness back up. My son is also in Hong Kong now; would also work out with him when I have time".
Bosco previously injured his left foot while filming the second installment and, at one point, had to halt work to recuperate. Even though he returned to work, he also had to use crutches. When interviewed, he was asked whether there was trauma. He said, "There was no trauma. Still filmed all the same! My foot has recovered a lot now...at least 95 percent". Cannot go to the gym room now. Bosco frankly said that he has gone hiking and has been muscle training at home. When asked whether there was a pay increase to film this time, he laughingly said, "Pay increase? Also happy to have work now! Miss Lok has the final say on whether there is a pay increase!"
Ron expressed, "Extremely happy. Hope that the pandemic will be over soon. Actually, the shooting period is already later than before. It would be best to be able to shoot earlier. (Have to get fit?) "Life on the Line" Shows Up to Rally for Votes, Bob Cheung Moved to Tears at First Concert

Bob Cheung's first concert was held at Star Hall last night. Pinky Cheung, Akina Hong, Corinna Chamberlain and her husband, et al. went to watch the show. After singing the songs 《堅持》, 《自由》, etc. while playing the guitar to open the show, Bob and Jade Kwan sang a gospel song together. Jade expressed that she saw him grow up; when Bob was still a member of Akago, already felt that he had passion. Steven Cheung, who was another guest, expressed that he has known Bob for ten-plus years; at his most helpless time, he took him in for five years. He said, "He greatly values friendship. Knew that I had no money...stealthily put a few hundred bucks on my pillow".
Moon Lau, who appeared sexily, played a piano accompaniment for Bob. She said that she and Bob have vastly different personalities, but they both believe in God. Then Bob sang 《流星雨》 and 《情非得已》 with 'Life on the Line F4' Joey Law, Arnold Kwok, and Matthew Ho. Arnold even used a comb to comb the three's long wigs, which roused laughter. Afterward, Joe Ma and Moon appeared, and they sang 《無畏的肩膊》, the theme of "Life on the Line" together, and took the opportunity to rally for votes. Jeannie Chan, who went to watch the show, said on stage, "I came today to rally for votes!" Joe humourously said, "You sign with TVB first!"
Bob ended the concert with the song 《圓缺》. He even said teary-eyed, "I know that it is very difficult to walk this path. Did Not Answer to 'Jessie'! Michael Tao Reveals the Mystery of Kenix Kwok Becoming 'Car Keys'

The "Detective Investigation Files" series has been re-airing late at night but is still being highly praised after 23 years. Producer Poon Ka Tak held a dinner gathering of the cast and crew. Many series actors, including Michael Tao, Kenix Kwok, Amy Kwok, Margaret Chung, Charmaine Sheh, Catherine Chau, Joe Ma, Derek Kwok, Gabriel Harrison, Maggie Chan, et al. were in attendance. [Michael and Kenix] frankly said that they have not seen each other in a long time, although they have previously encountered each other while doing stage performances in Mainland. Kenix frankly said that it was hard to come by; unknowingly, the series was already filmed 23 years ago.
Michael also provided a humourous explanation for 'che si' (car keys); he said, "Everyone also questioned me calling 'Jessie' by the wrong pronunciation. Said 'car keys' because she did not answer to 'Jessie'. Only answered to 'car keys'. Previously, [my] friends also followed along and called her that". Kenix said that it was all because of these 'car keys' that everyone had so many memories. Michael also said that this series finished airing its rerun on July 1st...also reluctant to let it go. He said, "Back then, the viewers really liked guessing whom the killer was, and there was also a hotline in which you could play a guess-the-killer game". When Kenix was asked whether she let her child watch this series, she said, "Would also. Would also let her watch it after studying!"

Michael also provided a humourous explanation for 'che si' (car keys); he said, "Everyone also questioned me calling 'Jessie' by the wrong pronunciation. Said 'car keys' because she did not answer to 'Jessie'. Only answered to 'car keys'. Previously, [my] friends also followed along and called her that". Kenix said that it was all because of these 'car keys' that everyone had so many memories. Michael also said that this series finished airing its rerun on July 1st...also reluctant to let it go. He said, "Back then, the viewers really liked guessing whom the killer was, and there was also a hotline in which you could play a guess-the-killer game". When Kenix was asked whether she let her child watch this series, she said, "Would also. Would also let her watch it after studying!"
