Anniversary Series Set to Feature War Among Kings and Queens! Kenneth Ma Using Public Opinion to Battle Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh Going Against 'Double Yans'

TVB starts airing anniversary series in October every year, and the leads take advantage of the timing to compete for awards at the subsequent awards presentation! After "From Hong Kong to Beijing" has been scheduled as an anniversary series, on.cc has received exclusive news that the remaining two anniversary series are tentatively scheduled to be "Romeo and His Butterfly Lover", starring husband-and-wife team Moses Chan and Aimee Chan, and Charmaine Sheh and Kenneth Ma's grand production, "The QUEEN of News".

All three series have a strong cast. Among them, Moses and Kenneth each have at least three series to compete for TV king. Moses has "Treasure of Destiny", "Narcotics Heroes", and "Romeo"; in "Narcotics", his dispirited look and unique voice were refreshing. However, he has been met with Kenneth's super stamina. Apart from "Speakers of Law", he also has "The Invisibles", which is the most loved by netizens and is currently TVB's highest ratings this year, and then "QUEEN". It will certainly be a tough battle.

Hopes for Jazz Lam to Win 'Supporting Actor'

Moses and Kenneth won TV king in 2007 and 2019 respectively. Kenneth said in an interview [today], "Really having a normal attitude for awards. Just like in previous years, I just want to win 'Best Series'. It is much more joyful to share the joy than enjoy it alone; it's also happier to eat a meal together. 'Speakers' and 'Invisibles' have released this year so far. Ruco Chan, who won TVB's TV king in 2016 with the series "A Fist Within Four Walls", is leading the anniversary series "From" this year, collaborating with Jinny Ng for the first time. When interviewed, he admitted that it felt fresh. Jinny is a singer, so the audience was a bit worried about her being the female lead at first, but her acting skills were good in "The Spectator", which premiered online in Mainland, and she was also praised by Ruco for having potential, instantly getting bonus points!

The 'TVB Mid-Year Sales Presentation 2023' was held at the HKCEC today. The artistes who took part included Moses Chan, Ruco Chan, Kenneth Ma, Shaun Tam, Nancy Wu, Sisley Choi, Tiffany Lau, Benjamin Yuen, Bowie Cheung, et al. It was extremely lively.

Moses and Nancy, who star in "Narcotics Heroes", were interviewed by TOPick. These good partners shared tidbits about the filming of the new series.

Playing a Drug King and a Drug Queen

Moses and Nancy, who previously collaborated in "Ghost of Relativity", "Big White Duel II", etc., are playing a drug king and a drug queen in the series this time. Moses said that the plot is rather dark, and the series is not an ordinary police series; it describes the world of drug crime.

Nancy's 'existing stock' in TVB is only "Narcotics". She expressed the hope to be able to play roles that she has never tried before. She said, "Also currently in Hong Kong [working]. Actually, it's also very open. Would go wherever there is work that is suitable for me".

Artistes Nancy Wu and Lai Lok Yi attended TVB's 'Long Service and Outstanding Employee Awards Presentation' dinner tonight. The two were awarded a 20-year service award. He pointed out that they were classmates in the same training class. Lok Yi laughingly said, "Many people are very surprised to hear that becsuse Nancy has kept herself well...seems to have been in the industry for a few years". He revealed that he was very mischievous in the training class back then. Got discovered by the director that they weren't rehearsing their scenes and just thought about playing. Stuck duct tape all over the face, and said that he had a part in testing out the studio and lighting when TVB moved from Clear Water Bay to Tseung Kwan O, which is also considered a contribution.

Nancy recalled when she acted with Lok Yi in an ancient series exam. After hearing this, Lok Yi laughed at himself, "I probably didn't do that well because Nancy had a role as soon as she debuted, while I still had nothing to do for many years". Nancy believes that everyone has a different path. She is happy that he is doing what he wants to do: "I had a couple drinks at home one day, and saw a programme that was hosted by him. I immediately gave him a voice recording. When I first met him, didn't think that his cooking skills would be so good; now, he can use this aspect in his work. Lok Yi said that her voice during the voice recording had quite a bit of feeling in it: "She did a few recordings. Each recording was two or three minutes. Most of the time, when the recordings are so long, it's not a good thing. It turned out that she was encouraging me. I will keep these recordings. Talking about Nancy being in the industry for 20 years, what goals does she still have? Kenneth Ma Has a Sense of Mission in Filming Series, Reveals That Natalie Tong Complained About Being Tired Many Years Ago

Kenneth Ma, Roger Kwok, Kelly Cheung, et al. attended an appreciation dinner for "Big White Duel II" tonight. At the event, Producer Marco Law expressed that patients suffering from tuberous sclerosis have attracted public attention due to the series, which has sped up the progress of the government's one-stop medical treatment, making him very happy. Nancy, who parachuted as the hospital director, lauhingly said, "The character was quite unpopular in the beginning".

Actually, this is the first time that the TV king and TV queen are having a head-to-head acting battle in a series. She laughingly said, "Had collaborated in 'Not Just a Pretty Face' and 'D.I.E.' a long time ago. Roger was being my elder sisters' boyfriend in both.
