The TVB series "Themis", starring TV queen Charmaine Sheh and Alice Chan, released earlier, achieving excellent ratings and feedback. The executive producer, Chung Shu Kai, is taking the opprtunity to announce the filming of the prequel "Model Lawyer Team". It is known that the timeline of the plot is approximately eight years before the events of "Themis" and will focus on the past of Alice's character. Apart from having many court cases linking the entire series, the 'battleground' will shift from the juvenile court to the adult courtroom. In terms of the cast, apart from the previously revealed Alice, Kelly Cheung, Moon Lau, and Gallen Lo, who has not done TVB series for a while, it turns out that this series also has two major 'aces', Tavia Yeung and Joyce Tang, joining!

"Model" is tentatively set to officially start filming at the end of next month and will be shot in both Mainland and Hong Kong. Joyce will be acting as a married couple with three-time TV king Gallen, and [her] role is quite important, having a crucial function in the series. Talking about this 'new partner', Gallen highly praised her exceptional memory and said, "Previously, I kept seeing her promotional videos and live streams for 'Back to the Past' on video playforms. Also know that she was nominated for 'Best Supporting Actress' at the Hong Kong Film Awards...very happy for her. Hope that we'll have more sparks in this series!"

Nervous and Looking Forward to It

Tavia, who filmed the grand production "Wars of the Roses" last year, is filming again by taking part in "Model", which is believed to have been driven by the co-stars and the script. In the series, she is acting as Gallen's disciple, engaging in a 'head-on battle' with Kelly and Moon at a law firm...a role that is full of challenges. She is very excited to be able to 'go head-to-head' with Gallen this time, and said that she is "both nervous and looking forward to it".

Talking about [her] role this time, Tavia revealed in an interview the other day: "Actually, I have also played lawyers before, but not considered to have had much experience with this kind of subject matter, so it is also a fresh challenge".

It was mentioned that "Darkside of the Moon", which she starred with Lin Xia Wei, and "Wars", which finished filming earlier, both belong to fierce fighting and scheming series with sparks flying. Now, [she] is continuing [her] battle with Kelly and Moon. She said, "Of course, each series has different characters, especially modern series where there's bound to have open and veiled strife. All in all, my character is very distinct. (Your husband, Him Law, is also filming a series!) Yes, we might have a bit of overlap. May need the help of family to take care of the kids". Alice Chan Leading the Prequel to "Themis" and Sparking a Fierce Battle, Kelly Cheung and Moon Lau Starting a War in Court

"Themis" has been receiving a hot response after its broadcast. Apart from becoming the top-rated [series] in the first half of the year, it has accumulated over 420 million views on a Mainland streaming platform. Thus, TVB is taking advantage of the situation to film the prequel "Model Lawyer Team", focusing on Alice Chan's character, revealing her mysterious past as she transforms into 「高淑樺」 and becomes a mother. Apart from having several court cases as stories, it will also interweave the open and veiled strife among lawyers for the position of chief lawyer, shifting the battleground from the juvenile court of "Themis" to the adult courtroom. The script production is currently in full swing, with filming tentatively scheduled to commence in June, which is earlier than the spin-off of "The QUEEN of News", "Information Officer Hui Si Ching", starring Samantha Ko.

No Difficulty in Playing a Lawyer Again

In terms of casting, the female lead this time is Alice. Most of the characters from "Themis" will not appear, with TVB's two fa dans, Kelly Cheung and Moon Lau, taking over. In addition, three-time TV king Gallen Lo is also in talks and could potentially join the cast! In an interview with on.cc, Alice remained tight-lipped about all of the details of the new series and only expressed, "How come so incredible at getting inside information? Everything is in the confidential stage. Leave it to the official announcement!"

Kelly, who is currently on holidays, admitted to doing preparations for the new series: "Have to have a meeting with Director Kai (Chung Shu Kai) soon to hear the story". She said that she has always been chasing "Themis" and is very happy to take part in filming the prequel: "I really like Alice's character in the series. Recently worked with her in 'This City Never Sleeps'...greatly looking forward to collaborating again". (Have you played a lawyer before?) I played one in 'Legal Mavericks 2020'. Really like playing a lawyer. Being able to play one again, greatly looking forward to it! Believe that the lines won't be difficult for me. I like playing professionals. Also had a lot of lines when playing a doctor before, so playing a lawyer shouldn't be a problem". As for Moon, she revealed that, for the time being, she knows very little about the new series: "[After] I'm done being busy with [my] Foshan concert on May 2nd, I'll be preparing for the new series. Although the character and the plot are not known yet, know that the story is about lawyers. I am greatly looking forward to it. Hope to be able to do better and have a bigger breakthrough". She expressed that she has experience playing lawyers: "I played a trainee lawyer in my first series, 'Raising the Bar'. In 'The Queen of Castle', [I] played a lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice lawsuits. I feel that I have quite a bit of fate with this subject matter and this profession. Ha ha!" She also expressed that she had a lot of scens with Kelly in "Heroes in White", but it was the opposite with Alice: "Every time [I] film the same series with Alice, we don't have many scenes together. It would be good if there are more scenes to have fun together this time! Because I super like Alice. Would get heart eyes when [I] see her! She is really incredibly good to us. A very good person and very fun. Very serious when working".

Meanwhile, Samantha's new series, "Information", will have its filming delayed. In an interview, she admitted to knowing this. Recently, she has been promoting the movie "Cold War 1994", in which she took part in. She said, "It has been delayed, But I have other work in progress right now, and also need some time to prepare for the role".

The Most Important Thing Is Being Happy for Gallen Lo to Return to His Mother Company

Gallen admitted in an interview [today], "This series is in talks...hope that it'll be successful! It's also been a long time since I've worked with Chung Shu Kai. Collaborated with him before in 'Old Time Buddy'". When asked about the requirements for [his] comeback, he laughingly said that, apart from needing a good script, the most important thing is filming happily: "Seeing friends again. Very thankful to [Chung Shu] Kai for looking for me. He's an extremely good producer...has great character".

Gallen Lo Returning to TVB to Film Series in March

Gallen Lo has agreed to film the series "Conspiring with Spies", in which he will play a shopping mall big shot, the CEO of a large company. The character is both good and evil. This series only has 20 episodes, so there only needs to be two-plus months of filming.

Gallen, who was in Shanghai, admitted that he would be returning to TVB for work in the beginning of March. He laughingly said, "Because the genre and the role are very good...also like it myself. There is no schedule conflict. In addition, indeed have not filmed series in Hong Kong for a while. It is also time to film one. (You are very loyal!) Saying this is too kind. When I returned to Hong Kong last year, Wong Wai Sing told me about the concept of this series...very not bad. Returning to Hong Kong to film, can also see my friends and my son. Fortunately, this time's filming is not considered long!"

Allegedly, Gallen's role this time is tailor-made for him. Producer Wong Wai Sing said in an interview, "Well, definitely very suitable for him...that's why [we] looked for him! Actually, have always kept in contact with him, but he was previously filming in Mainland, so there was no opportunity for it to work out. (Gallen has looked at the script?) There is no script yet, but have discussed the story and the role. He also finds it very interesting!" As for the female lead, Producer Wong frankly said that it has not been finalized. When asked whether Gallen had a female star he wanted to collaborate with, he revealed that he did not have any requests: "In my heart, there are some candidates, but still not finalized. For Gallen, there would certainly be even more freshness if they have not collaborated before".

Personal Note: Gallen did not even cross my mind when Fred said that he would be working with a heavyweight veteran who has not filmed for TVB in a while. Now hoping for a good female lead!

Personal Note: Extremely funny clip!!! The way that Bernice was explaining how she and Ma Ming had to kiss in the series is super funny. "Wait, wait my nose!" "I can't breathe!" Ha ha....

The kiss scene that Bernice was explaining reminds me of the kiss scene Flora Chan and Michael Tao filmed in "The File of Justice V". The crew made fun of Flora because it seemed as though she was squeezing orange juice. Ha ha.... Super funny! She mentioned it when she went on "Behind the Fame" hosted by Lydia Shum in 2002. TVB's Most Expensive Hair Stylists

One is holding a hair dryer, while the other one is pretending to be a 'human spray bottle'. I think it would be pretty expensive to hire these two dong ka fa dans to be their 'hair stylists'. Ha ha....

FYI: Flora once said on JSG '99 that Gallen doesn't like others touching his hair, especially his sideburns!

I have always been a fan of Gallen's sideburns. Ha ha.... I love how he is wearing a sweater underneath his suit. It looks very nice.

Gallen Lo Returns to TVB

It was confirmed weeks ago that Gallen Lo will be returning to TVB in August to film 《當狗愛上貓》 "When a Dog Loves a Cat", alongside Myolie Wu, David Lui Fong, and Margie Tsang.

Gallen was originally supposed to film a China handover series with Amy Chan, but was somehow not negotiable, and that opened up a couple of months of free time for Gallen. With all the commotion about ATV trying to pursue most of TVB's top stars, such as Bobby Au Yeung, Gallen, Flora Chan, Kenix Kwok, Maggie Cheung, etc., TVB grabbed onto the chance to steal Gallen and asked him to film the new series in August. Rumours say Gallen still has owes TVB ten episodes; that is the reason why he agreed to film the series.

Personal Note: It has been four years now, but Gallen is finally going to return to his mother station, TVB. However, I can't see it being a great series. Gallen and Myolie don't look like a couple. Maybe it's because their brother-sister relationship in "Golden Faith" was too promising. I would prefer Gallen to pair up with Margie, but Lui Fong and Margie will be husband and wife in the show. Too bad that Flora is pregnant and Maggie is not in the series. Now that I would watch!

Louis Koo - Golden Retriever

The golden retriever is one of the most beautiful and is the most popular of the dog breeds. Louis definitely has the most fame out of these male artistes. After leaving a mark in TVB, Louis is one of the highest in demand actors in the Hong Kong movie industry. In 2006, he filmed three movies, and they overlapped each other. This makes him the closest to Carol Cheng's (Dodo) record of filming nine movies at the same time back in the day. With his looks and acting skills, he will be the next 'Best Actor' in movies.

Gallen Lo - Rottweiler

Gallen is described by his colleagues as mature, extremely calm, silent, and very respectful to others. Gallen and rottweilers share the common trait of being extremely calm and patient. They are fiercely loyal and protective of their families. Gallen only wants the best for his family. In 2003, he purchased a 3 million HKD mansion, and two years ago, he purchased a mansion worth 5 million HKD. A rottweiler's mean and evil appearance is also very similar to Gallen's role as Tsui Ka Lap in "Cold Blood Warm Heart".

Roger Kwok - Boxer

Roger would be best described as a boxer because they are both loyal and affectionate. When it comes to loyalty to TVB, Roger would be TVB's most faithful and devoted artiste. He has been with TVB ever since joining in 1985. Roger even had the rare opportunity to expand outside of TVB. That kind of freedom was not granted to Gordon Lam, which led to him leaving TVB.

Sammul Chan - Chihuahua

A chihuahua is a small dog with a big dog attitude and they have more bark than bite. Sammul has excellent speaking skills and is very smart with words. He is very quick to respond to troublesome questions and also has the ability to control hosting events. Plus, Sammul has the smallest head of all the male artistes.

Personal Note: I was thinking of adding Raymond Lam, but could not think of which dog to compare him to.
