"Lo and Behold": 'Kam Sing On' Becomes a Dance King; 'Bookworm' Started Off as a Dancer and Was Aaron Kwok's Backup Dancer

"Lo and Behold" has hidden talents. Last night's episode, "Dance King's Second Shadow", fully revealed an actor's potential. The story tells of 'Kam Sing On' (played by Chow Ka Lok), who is usually useless, accidentally becoming the 'Dance King of Hong Kong Island University' due to avoiding a cockroach. Later, his classmate, 'Bookworm' (played by Oman Lam), is discovered by 'On Jai' to have been secretly teaching him. It turns out that 'Bookworm' was once 'Dan God', but made a fool of himself during a performance when he exposed himself after splitting his pants when he was not wearing underwear, which left a shadow, and he stopped dancing. Later, 'On Jai' tries his best to put him on the stage again, achieving a collaborative dance in the end, which was amazing.
Oman actually started off as a dancer. He began doing street dance when he was 15 years old, specializing in hip hop, breakdancing, and social dancing. He used to perform as a backup dancer at concerts for Aaron Kwok, Eason Chan, Coco Lee, et al. Although Ka Lok was mainly using humour while being embodied by a cockroach, his dance moves were also rhythmical, and he seems to have a certain degree of dancing skills. Ka Lok expressed in a phone interview from Sky Post, "I took part in dance academies before. When studying in Australia, also had two years of elective dance courses. As for the rest, it was mostly self-taught online because I like the street dance styles of popping and locking. Think that robotic dancing is cool, so also practiced it. Muscles and bones are rather loose and flexible. I am not very good. Just good at imitating...not really good at dancing".
Ka Lok is grateful to the director, Emily, for notifying them two weeks before filming started; thus, he and Oman looked for the music and rehearsed the dance, practicing for approximately four to five days. When asked about having to split his legs for the 'falling seven' action many times in the series, Ka Lok said, "Really did this action many times on the day of filming. It was slightly painful, but there was no problem. It was okay!"
As for Oman, he frankly said that he was grateful to the producer, Lam Kin Cheung, the scriptwriter, the director, and Ka Lok. Although he came up with the dance steps this time, Ka Lok used a dramatic perspective to think of different movements to integrate into the music. He laughingly said, "Thought about how it felt when I was a dancer to help dance for the series. There was a scene about 'Bookworm''s past. When dancing, everyone was cheering and clapping below the stage. Really felt like performing a concert in the past. It belongs to the interaction between the performer and the audience". As for whether 'Bookworm' will develop a romantic storyline with 'Grace Chan' (played by Blossom Chan), Oman said, "It is not known yet. Have to wait for the producer and the scriptwriter to arrange it".

Linda Chung Suddenly Cries Due to Missing Her Children; Experienced Person Kevin Cheng Persuades Kenneth Ma to Have Children While Young

After getting married, Linda Chung has been supporting her husband and raising her children in Canada. Recently, she cast her husband and childen aside for two men to return to Hong Kong to film TVB's new series, "Paediatricians". She said, "Have not starred in a series for six years. The last time was 'Another Era'...only filmed for ten days". When asked the reason for returning to film a series, she expressed that she has always wanted to collaborate with Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma, and the series has a mission, hoping to bring out positive energy.
Linda originally arranged for her children to come to Hong Kong to reunite this month but gave up on the idea due to the rebound of the pandemic. Linda revealed that, one day, there was a sudden script reading, so she could not see her children via FaceTime. Felt slightly down...could only take out her children's pictures and think about them. When Linda shared her family pictures with her partners in the series, Catherine Chau, et al., she could not help but cry. She frankly said that she occasionally felt this sense of loss. Being separated for four months, it is only hard work for her husband.
Kevin, who is also a parent, expressed that his second son was just born. There is nothing he can do, as he has to work during the most difficult moment. He also helped in rushing Kenneth, who is currently dating Roxanne Tong, to build a family as soon as possible. Kenneth decliningly said, "Leave it to fate!" As someone with experience, Kevin immediately said, "You are wrong. Really have to have children while young. You will understand it then". The two brothers expressed that they are only collaborating again after "A Fistful Stances", which was over ten years ago.
Bowie Cheung said that the child actors are very obedient. Him Law admitted that he is more patient with children after the birth of his baby. He revealed that, because he is in contact with a lot of people while working, he and his wife, Tavia Yeung, are now sleeping in separate rooms...also wearing a face mask at home.

Rumoured to Have Been Replaced in New Series Due to a Bad Image, Mat Yeung Receives the Support of Executives as Participation Is Not Affected

In the early hours of the 8th of this month, when Mat Yeung was driving down Magazine Gap Road, he was involved in a DUI collision. After the incident, he was arrested on suspicion of refusing to provide a blood sample for a breathalyzer test. He was released on bail pending further investigation and must report back to the police station in early September. Since the accident, Mat has been in seclusion and has not appeared in public, only accepting "Scoop"'s video interview on the day of the accident. He explained about the crash, saying, "Had a short-term blackout, so was unable to do a breathalyzer test". Mat has a history of DUI, criminal damage, and assault. He will start work on TVB's new series, "Kwok Family Has No Difficulties", in September. Recently, it has been rumoured that, because Mat has gotten in trouble with the law again, his image has been damaged, so the series has replaced him with Edwin Siu. Producer Amy Wong and TVB executive Virginia Lok clarified the replacement rumours, saying that Mat's participation had not been affected.
Amy said in a phone interview with Ming Pao, "'Kwok' has already been in preparation since the beginning of the year. The actors and characters had already been decided early on. Filming will start in September, and Mat's participation has not changed". Amy said that, after Mat's traffic accident, she previously called him to console him. She did not specifically ask him about the incident; it is being handled in accordance with normal laws. She is not worried that Mat will affect filming due to the incident.

- Linda Chung will play Eman Cheung Yi Sam (章以芯), a doctor without borders who later returns to work at a city life hospital. She has medical ethics and brilliant medical skills. She is a cardiac surgeon. She and Kevin always make snide remarks at each other.
- Catherine will play Kay Mak Hoi Kei (麥海琪), a surgeon.
- Him Law will play Max Man Pak Hei (文柏熙), who is like a crown prince. His mother, Mimi Kung, has the highest position in the series; thus, in the beginning, he is afraid of people finding out his identity because he is scared that people would be prejudiced toward him. His mother was too outstanding, so he has a lot of pressure, and he took extreme measures before, and then later returns to being a doctor. He has an illness; it is as though he can treat others but cannot treat himself.
- Mimi will play 「鍾教授」, a professor of medicine. She is a steady person but is also sensitive to people's needs and is full of smiles. She is powerful on the inside and is very competent.

Kenneth Ma Reveals Having Cooked Steak with Girlfriend Roxanne Tong, Extra Points for Good Cooking Skills

Gigi Wong attended a press conference for the cooking programme hosted by her, "Gigi's Tasteful Kitchen Second Season", at TVB City today, and Kenneth Ma, who played her son in the series "The Hippocratic Crush", showed up to show his support. Gigi revealed that there are 48 episodes in this installment. She thought that she could do less work by finding dishes in the 14 cookbooks that she had published, but the programme had to accommodate the sponsor. Felt that it was slightly difficult, but was very happy to challenge herself.
Kenneth admitted that he is not good at cooking, indicating that he is learning some simple dishes from Gigi. As for whether girlfriend Roxanne Tong has tried his cooking, Kenneth said with a smile, "If [I] cook, have to cook for [my] mom first; she has not tried my cooking before. Because I have always lived with my mom, [I] rarely cook. When [I] enter the kitchen, she also tells me to get out quickly. (Have you tried your girlfriend's cooking?) She only knows some simple dishes but is better than I am. We have cooked steak together". When asked whether it would be even more perfect if his girlfriend's cooking skills were better, Gigi immediately helped out by saying that she often tells the students in [her] cooking class that girls only need to know how to make three dishes, which are enough to be used on birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or anniversaries. If [they] cook every day, would take it for granted, and no one would cherish it. However, Kenneth also believes that, if the cooking skills are good, he would give a lot of extra points.
Gigi had a meal with William Tang earlier. Had originally arranged to meet again on July 26th, but he was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 25th. She also went to get tested for the virus for peace of mind. Fortunately, there was nothing wrong. After the pandemic, will arrange to meet up with William again.

Hoffman Cheng Gifts "Lo and Behold" Wife Vicky Chan with New Song

Hoffman Cheng released the new song 《只准你話我是傻》 [tonight]. Apart from inviting Vicky Chan to be the MV's female lead, it turns out that the new song was also personally written by Hoffman. The content commemorates 'Max' and 'Jenny''s relationship. Even the 'knight' and other elements were included. Is it an implication that Vicky is really leaving the series crew?
Hoffman accepted a phone interview from Sky Post. He expressed, "'Jenny' did not say that she is divorcing me. Just deceived me. Ashamed, so [she] does not dare to see me again and left. Hope that she comes back to me soon. (So blindly in love?) Either not love or love until the end. Quite fun to be useless but also love crazily. The most important is for viewers to watch happily. Being useless now does not mean that [I] will be useless in the future. Maybe I'll be extremely not useless and strong later...."
Speaking of him releasing a new song and MV for this relationship, Hoffman said, "This song is really commemorating this relationship. Really thankful to the series crew for making a lot of plotlines happen for me and her. It was touching, funny, and there was everything that should have been there, so I tried writing lyrics. Hope to have been able to express these feelings. We don't know our future development yet, but there is an Easter egg at the end of the MV, which is quite in line with everyone's wishes". He laughingly said that he did not find Vicky to shoot the MV for his new song last time, which made her mad; this time, [he] hopes to give the entire song to her, hoping to make up for it.

[Today], HANA, JW, James Ng, Selena Lee, Gabriel Harrison, Hubert Wu, Fred Cheng, et al. did a recording for "J.S.G. Selections 2020 (Part 1)". Selena and Gabriel were happy to win an award for their duet song, 《二次緣》. Gabriel said that the last time he won a "J.S.G." award was already twenty years ago when he won a 'Newcomer Award'. Gabriel feels that singing has no age or boundaries and hopes to make good music. In the middle of the month, he is filming the new series "Pediatricians", acting as the head of a hospital and having scenes with Kenneth Ma. She is later filming "Barrack O'Karma 2", and she is also taking on a movie. She will be returning to Canada in January of next year to finish her series.

Ali Lee Filming the Outsourced Series "AI Rhapsody" in Mid-August

In 2018, Ali Lee won 'TV Queen' for the first time for the TVB series "Who Wants a Baby?", but it was suspected that, due to expressing her political stance and leaving allusive words on her social media, it was rumoured that she had been boycotted by Mainland and frozen by TVB. Since then, she has been replaced in four consecutive series, including "BB on Top", "Legal Mavericks II", "Big White Duel II", and "Pediatricians". Her other jobs and endorsements had also been halted. After waiting a year and a half for nothing, her luck has finally arrived!
A Project That Tests Acting
Recently, Ali took part in the currently airing series "Death by Zero". Fortunately, the role is likable and has not been met with negative comments. TVB has successfully tested the waters and has finally lifted her ban, arranging for her to act in the outsourced series "AI Rhapsody". This series is copy edited and produced by the experienced producer Chan Kiu Ying. It is expected to be 25 episodes and to start filming in mid-August. Ali is playing an AI robot, developing a love triangle with Luk Wing and Crystal Fung. Ali, who is known for her acting skills, is challenging a highly difficult robot role this time; Chan Kiu Ying has requested for [Ali] to interpret the robot from zero expressions to programming presets that match human preferences that are pleasing, so there must be a happy expression, but it cannot be too human...must walk between calmness and passion...seriously a project that tests Ali!
According to Chan Kiu Ying, "AI" has always been meant for Ali to act in it. Regarding the matter that her political remarks have led to her being frozen and being ousted from four series, he believes that neither the artistes nor the producers should have a stance...can just do one's part. He laughingly said, "Her misfortune is my luck! Because she did not film the above series, she is able to make her comeback in my series". He is absolutely confident in Ali acting as a robot: "She has a lot of natural talent. Would understand from just talking a little bit about the course of the acting. Is a great creative actor, but it's actually quite hard to act! Cannot be cold because the AI is designed to make people happy, but cannot too human".
Competing with Crystal Fung for a Guy
Regarding the other female lead, Crystal also has great potential because [he] loves that she is able to let herself go when she performs. Competing with robot Ali for Luk Wing, believe that there will be a lot of sparks! Another role that makes people anticipated will be played by Mayanne Mak, who is used to being a variety host. She and Ali have a 'sisterhood'; her humour from being a happy and cheerful woman who is always laughing will bring out a comedic effect.
Regarding acting with 'TV Queen' Ali, Crystal replied [today], "I will be filming a new series with Ali and Luk Wing. Because I have not read all the scripts, roughly know that the three of us will have a romantic storyline...have many scenes with each other. Very grateful to have this opportunity and also greatly looking forward to filming because I previously filmed 'Big' with Ali. Very happy to work with her again this time!"
Luk Wing Relies on Oral Skill to Level Up to First Male Lead
Luk Wing, who is playing the first male lead in "AI" for the first time, is playing a salesperson from the future world, and he has a romantic storyline with Ali and Crystal. Being able to collaborate with two goddesses, Luk Wing is certainly excited before starting work!
When he was interviewed [today], he frankly said that he had only met the two women on variety programmes. It will be the first time acting together in a series: "Certainly did not look for me for my looks; it's my oral skill! In the series, I am mean. Mainly selling humour. (How do you feel about being the first male lead for the first time?) I like being a supporting role more. Actually, it is not said that it is the first male lead or not.
