Charmaine Sheh Sings to Celebrate Being in the Industry for 25 Years

TV queen Charmaine Sheh has been in the industry for 25 years and has played countless classic roles. Over the years, [she] has received a lot of help from those in front of and behind the scenes and support from viewers. From the bottom of her heart, Charmaine has always been grateful to the kind people who have accompanied her through the ups and downs along the way. Charmaine, who seldom sings, took on a difficult challenge this time, and earnestly found Kong Fai to compose and arrange, manager JC to produce, and Riley Lam to write the lyrics to her first single since entering the industry, 《前排位置》.

Charmaine shared her 'first time' on social media: "Trying a new work this time...sending [my] thoughts through song. Have been in the industry for 25 years, so cannot help but be a bit emotional. To be able to become the me today, it's absolutely impossible to be able to do so with my own strength. There are too many people to thank! This includes family members who put up with me, friends who protect me, viewers who like me, supporters who unconditionally make an effort for me, and, of course, most importantly, every one of you who has given me opprtunities and has worked with me! Fortunate to have you along the way, cherish your appearance, and thankful for shaping me and always giving me the 'front row'. Thus, [I] suddenly had the thought of putting my heartfelt gratitude and thoughts into lyrics, embedding it in the notes, to give to every one of you that I have enountered! A belated gift to commemorate the 25th anniversary...hope that you like it".

Regarding the release of this song, Charmaine said, "Really never thought that I would do this. It's so bold. It's already very difficult to sing a song well, but actually, from the conception to the finished product, this process was even more difficult. In fact, the song was originally planned to release in July. Little did [I] know that it would take until now to officially be completed. Luckily, able to make it in time to give it to everyone in 2022! I hope that, apart from thanking every one of you who has appeared, accompanied, supported, and has taken good care of me, after everyone listens to the song, also have to be grateful to the people who always put you in the front row".

Synopsis: Din Si City (殿示城), which is reportedly under no jurisdiction, has the good and the bad mixed up and many factions. A spy sent by the Yamen in the past has lost contact and has disappeared. This place is full of mystery and eeriness. A constable (played by Chow Ka Lok) and a rookie constable (played by JW) are ordered to go to Din Si City to track down the whereabouts of the spy. Along the way, they meet a guide (played by Brian Chu), and they enter the perilous place together.

When everyone arrives in the city, they discover a place of charm and beauty, full of traffic and shops, and everyone living and working in peace and contentment. It was a prosperous and peaceful sight, just like a paradise on earth. The people in charge of a theatrical troupe (played by Jeannie Chan and Cheung Wing Hong) even sing every night. There is a wide variety of big stages endlessly, and there is even product placement during the programmes.

However, all truths are illusions. Prosperity is not prosperity, the constable is not a constable, the spy is not a spy, the bad people are not bad people, and the good people are not good people. Everything is reversed and reversed again.....

Tiffany Lau and Moon Lau Level Up to Leads, Partnering Up in Being Mysterious

It is known that Producer Man Wai Hung will start shooting the new series "Death Hint" in January of next year, and will be using the original cast of "I've [Got the Power]", including Joel Chan, Moon Lau, Tiffany Lau, and Jazz Lam. Although Ruco Chan and Natalie Tong are unable to participate due to filming "Sinister Beings II" and having already left the company respectively, there will be the addition of Owen Cheung and "Get on a Flat" CP Rosita Kwok and Karl Ting. This time, the secret intelligence investigation bureau is the core, dismantling bizarre murder cases. The plot is tense and suspenseful with a sense of science fiction.

Equal Screentime Among the Four Leads

The male and female leads of "Death" are the two pairs Joel-Moon and Owen-Tiffany. Moon and Tiffany are already Man Wai Hung's favourites, as they have been a part of every series in recent years. Moon, who had excellent acting skills in "The Beauty [of War]" and has been nominated for TV queen, was interviewed earlier. She said, "I will do my best to do any role. As for the story, it is very mysterious. The producer only told us one-third of it; however, this time, Man Wai Hung really emphasized having to do muscle training and to fight, so expecting for the body to be injured all over! Last time, the filming of 'The Invisibles' focused on firearms training. Have to take classes this time and learn close combat skills". Tiffany, whose figure and skills are getting better and better, frankly said that she is very happy: "Super looking forward to it. Starting to train [my] stamina now because [I] heard about the story. Man Wai Hung also said that there are many close combat scenes, which is a new challenge. (Playing a pair with Owen this time?) Have known him for a long time. Previously filmed 'Unchained Medley' together, but this is the first time acting as a couple. Hope to bring freshness to the viewers".

A New Combination Bringing Freshness

Joel is also extremely looking forward to this new combination: "I have never officially collaborated with Owen before; this is the first time. Although there were many series in which Moon and I appeared, have never had so many scenes together, so hope that there are sparks. Totally looking forward to it. Ruco Chan's Schedule Clashes, Agrees to Collaborating Again

'TV King' Ruco originally had a part in the filming of "Death", but it fell through due to a schedule clash! "Sinister Beings", with Lau Ka Ho as the executive producer and starring Ruco and Lin Xia Wei, received excellent ratings and feedback when it aired in May of last year. A sequel had long been ready to start shooting, but it had been delayed again and again due to the pandemic. Now, it is set to officially commence filming at the beginning of year, which directly clashes with "Death".

"Get on a Flat" Couple Encores, Rosita Kwok Pursues Warm Guy Karl Ting

In the new series "Death", Rosita will play a sweet rookie cop, and will even take the initiative to pursue the muscular warm guy cop Karl.
