When he returns to Hong Kong, he meets his ex, Kelly, again; because he wants to woo her again, he goes to work at Maxwell Paxton Hospital, becoming an associate consultant in the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department. He has an unreserved, handsome appearance, so he is surrounded by many females; thus, Kelly feels no sense of security. He, Kelly, and Roger have a complicated romantic entanglement. His scenes add lightheartedness to the main storyline so that the plot is not entirely heavy.
- Nancy will play Ip Ching (葉晴), the administrative director and the doctor in charge of the oncology department. She is a cool and rather tough doctor with attitude, and she is a go-getter. She has many scenes with Kenneth, but they are not a couple. She will get involved in Kenneth and Natalie's relationship, having an ambiguous relationship with Kenneth; however, her character is simply an ornament in their relationship. There is some underplot in her relationship with Kenneth, but Kenneth and Natalie's relationship is already very stable. Her first line in the series is "to eradicate Maxwell Paxton Hospital and turn it into history". She also has many scenes with Roger; they are on opposing sides. In principle, there are no bad people. Her appearance is like completely overturning everything Roger did in the previous installment. Although they have different positions, they also want to make medical reforms.
- Natalie and Kenneth have a rocky romance. She and Kenneth really love each other, but they have a knot in their hearts that cannot be unravelled. Kenneth is a very attractive doctor, so there will be a female (Nancy) who likes him no matter what, but it is not a problem between them, so it is not considered a triangular relationship.
- Kelly, Moses, and Roger have a sort of a triangular relationship.
- Virginia Lau will play Cheung Ting (張庭), the director of TNN's news department. She has a strong personality. She does not smile much, is goal-oriented, does things by fair means or foul to achieve her goal, and has her own strong views. She covers the sky with one hand, as she controls all of Hong Kong's media. She has a strong sense of jealousy, and she goes around different men. She is Roger's ex-wife. She returns to Hong Kong and is in opposition with Roger on medical reform and a lot of things. In the end, she and Moses have a one-night stand.
- Shaopin Tsui will play Yuen Chan Fai (阮振輝), a resident physician in cardiothoracic surgery.
- Lesley Chiang will play Rachel Fan, a resident physician in cardiothoracic surgery.

Him Law, Kelly Cheung, Wai Ka Hung, et al. were in TVB City promoting the series "The Witness" today. Him announced that he and his wife, Tavia Yeung, have changed their names. He expressed that it has already been changed for a period of time. The elders also support the decision; the most important thing is that it is good for the family.

Him Law and Tavia Yeung announced on social media that they have changed their names: Him has changed his name to 'Law Chi Yat' (羅子溢), while Tavia has changed her name to 'Yeung Sin Yiu' (楊茜堯).
Regarding the matter of the name change, Him expressed, "Actually, the name was changed a while ago! However, just telling everyone today! Hope that everyone greatly supports it! Actually, just hope for my family to be healthy and for things to go smoothly!" The name change procedures, such as the identity card, etc., have been completed. Him said that he had clearly considered the decision to change his name this time, and he also received the support of his family and company. As for Tavia, she expressed, "Yes.
