In the series, she and TV queen Elena Kong are having a fierce battle. Kaman Kong Filming a New Year Series, Fighting with Katy Kung and Mayanne Mak for Favour

TVB will start filming an ancient New Year comedy in June, and Nancy Sit will play the mother-in-law role. It is known that TVB will start filming a PTU-themed series at the end of June, with Chung Shu Kai, the executive producer of 'TVB New Wings', personally overseeing it. He revealed that, in order to make the series more cinematic, [they] have specially found Law Wing Cheong, the director of the movie "PTU", to assist in the shoot.

As for the cast, PTU certainly has to look for artistes with well-rounded acting skills and are physically fit to play the roles. TVB producer Joe Chan will begin filming the new series "Forty-Two Chapters" in September. Candice said that shooting intimate scenes are a great challenge, not because of how big the boundaries are, but having to immerse into the role. Fortunately, Joel and Shaun are both willing to discuss the role with her, even helping her find other movies and series for reference.

"Brutally Young 2.0" Filming in March

The new series "Brutally Young 2.0" will start filming in March. The male leads are still Joel Chan and Shaun Tam, and the female lead is the new 'TV Queen of Malaysia' Katy Kung. Zoie Tam is filming after giving birth to her daughter. Other actors include Nicole Wan, Candice Chiu, et al., who were praised for their acting skills in the first installment.

It is known that, although the story is related to last time's karma, the story is different. The previous installment was already suspensefully and tightly filmed. This time, more elements will be added; there will be more drama and tension than before.

Katy admitted in an interview with on.cc that this is the first series after becoming a 'TV Queen'. She said, "Viewers have higher expectations for me, so I will also have higher expectations for myself. (Have pressure?) Well, would not. Actually very happy. After [I] got the awards, people in the street would give me their blessings; this is very precious". This time, she and Shaun are a pair in the series; the two are officially collaborating for the first time. She said, "I also watched the first installment. The feedback was great. I have not filmed suspense series before. It's quite interesting, and the character is very heavy this time...slightly nervous".

Joel said in an interview, "Very happy to receive this news because Shaun and I had greatly hoped that the producer would be able to shoot a second installment. The viewers and netizens also really liked it. It was also very popular when it was webcasted in Mainland. (Is it unfortunate to not have the original team?) It is quite unfortunate. This time, the story and characters are totally different. I am not playing a gangster...will be much more gentle. (Had to take off [your] shirt and fight on a lei tai last time. Do [you] have to train again this time?) Will certainly be giving me some difficulties this time! However, for the time being, cannot disclose it yet. Also very intense. I am also starting to exercise to keep fit". Speaking of collaborating with 'TV Queen' Katy, he said, "Having a 'TV Queen' helping us, the entire series is totally different. Katy Kung and Joey Law Win a "J.S.G." Award

"J.S.G. Awards Presentation 2020" was held in TVB City tonight. The realistic series "Hong Kong Love Stories", starring Katy Kung and Joey Law, received critical acclaim and has also brought them their first "J.S.G." award. Their duet for the series, 《逆流直上》, received the gold prize for 'Best Duet Song Award', sharing the award with Joey Thye and Brian Tse, who also sang this song. Katy said that she was happy to sing a series song for the first time and receive an award; Joey said that it was a dream to receive a song award as an actor. The silver prize went to Raymond Lam and HANA's 《低谷天堂》. Raymond is not in Hong Kong, so HANA went on stage alone to receive the award; she revealed that, from the song recording to the MV, she has not seen Raymond. The bronze prize went to Gabriel Harrison and Selena Lee's 《二次緣》. Selena did not show up as she is in Canada, so Gabriel received the award on behalf of his partner.

"Hong Kong Love Stories" Being Made into a Trilogy

The hit series "Hong Kong Love Stories", starring Katy Kung, Joey Law, Brian Tse, Kayan Yau, et al., has been well-received critically and commercially. TVB is following it up with plans to start shooting a sequel with the original team. The new installment is being changed from the topic of buying a house to unemployment issues that everyone is worried about this year. Due to the blow of the COVID-19 pandemic, all walks of life are facing a crisis of going bankrupt, and working-class people are in dire straits; thus, the content of the sequel will be even more emotionally stirring! Allegedly, female lead Katy, who previously said that the bed scenes and kiss scenes have already reached her limit, will challenge even more intense scenes in the sequel.

Talking About Unemployment Issues, Even More Emotionally Stirring

"Hong" received a great response from the outside world. During an interview with on.cc, TVB Deputy General Manager Felix To frankly said that there is added confidence toward the filming of a sequel: "The viewing numbers on myTV SUPER have risen sharply. The momentum is very incredible...literally tripled!" Because the style of the series is mainly people's livelihood issues that everyone resonates with, TVB has decided to create a 'Hong Kong Trilogy'. The first installment talked about buying real estate, the sequel will talk about unemployment, and the third installment will talk about food, tentatively set to be 12 to 15 episodes for each installment, and shooting will start in the second quarter of this year. The sequel will use unemployment as its theme, with the content revolving around young people not only not having money to buy a house after the pandemic, but they also have to face having no work and living from hand to mouth. The characters do not hesitate to charge out for their livelihood, which is not only realistic but also emotionally stirring!

Katy, who had four series aired last year, is charging for 'TV Queen' with "Death by Zero"; plus, "Hong" is shooting a sequel with great momentum. When she was interviewed, she frankly said that she was happy: "As an actor, certainly happy that the first installment had such good results! I am also very confident in the team, the producer, and the company's creative work, so also greatly anticipating it! (Such incredible momentum may also end up helping you win this year's 'TV Queen'?) Really? Already very happy that I had four series released last year. The most satisfying is that the viewers like the characters I played. Also have even higher expectations for myself...must do even better in the future".

As for male lead Joey being asked about the upcoming sequel, he said, "Certainly happy if it's true! I'm also anxious to know how the script will go afterward and how each character's relationships and careers have developed. If filming again, I will be even more prepared. Hope to do even better than before...don't want to disappoint everyone". Producer Lam Hang, who is currently busy filming another series, said when talking about "Hong" filming a sequel, "We have not seriously discussed the details yet.
