The overall average of "Can't" is 34 points, and it has surpassed the 32-point average of "The Mysteries of Love", becoming the series with the highest average this year. In third place is "A Pillow Case of Mystery II", with an average of 31 points.

Personal Note: The peak of "Can't" also surpassed the peak of "A Fistful of Stances" (43 points).

Personal Note: Ha ha.... I'm happy to see an NG clip for this scene, as this scene was quite funny. I wonder why the director did not say "cut" because it was obvious that Linda was laughing during and after her line. If they wanted it to keep rolling, then they might as well have showed the last part where Linda laughed out loud. I guess they wanted this to be part of the NG clips. :P I like how Ma Ming was so calm and continued to say his lines as if nothing went wrong. He he.... :D

Kenneth Ma & Fala Chen on "Fan and Kam"

Part 1

Fala describes Ma Ming to be a sweet-talker, but he is all talk and no action. When Plato asked Fala if Ma Ming flirts with her, she said that he does, as he would say, "Fala, you look very pretty today". However, he does not dare to phone her, as he would only send her a polite text message.

Part 2

It's already known that Ma Ming likes to say "I love you" to Myolie Wu. This came about because there was a time when Myolie kept asking Ma Ming if he loved her. Ma Ming also said that Myolie has always been single.

Fala agreed to cook for Ma Ming, as there is a certain dish that Ma Ming likes, which happens to be a dish that she specializes in.

Part 3

Fala mentioned that she has the most scenes with Charmaine Sheh in "Can't Buy Me Love". She likes Charmaine's straightforward personality and her attitude toward work.

Ma Ming and Fala talk about the difficult ancient dialogue in "Can't", as some Chinese characters may have a number of possible pronunciations. They both suspect that the screenwriters don't even know what the dialogue means. Fala praised Ma Ming for being able to act out the scenes well despite not knowing what the dialogue means.

Ma Ming doesn't know how to pursue girls, so he wants to test it out on Fala because he wants to experience the process of getting rejected after trying to pursue a girl.

When Bernice Liu went on "Fan and Kam", she complained about the fact that Ma Ming tends to film kiss scenes head-on, thereby causing their noses to clash. Ma Ming explained that Bernice has a high nose, and jokingly said that he is used to kissing girls with flatter noses.

Part 4

Fala said that she doesn't have many pursuers, as she seems as though she is difficult to get along with. However, she said that she is not difficult to pursue.

When asked about the most romantic thing that a guy has ever done for Fala, she said that she once had a boyfriend who gave her a stack of postcards from various places that he went to, which were written with things that reminded him of her while he was away on vacation. After hearing this, Ma Ming said, "Now I know how to pursue Fala! I'll send her a text message from the canteen, and then one from studio 13, and then another one from studio 2...." Then, Fala added, "From the parking lot". However, Plato said that handwritten messages are different from text messages. Then Ma Ming explained that his text messages usually consist of "Are you going to work today?", "If you're not going, then I'm not going", "If you're going to be late, tell me", "If you're going to be early, tell me", etc. Ma Ming said that he is a romantic in a practical way.

Part 5

Ma Ming and Fala both have lived overseas, and they both like the lifestyle there, as it is not as rushed, and there is more freedom. When asked whether they were accustomed to the lifestyle of Hong Kong, Fala said that she finds it ridiculous that she has to pay for parking in shopping malls. Ma Ming said that he's not accustomed to the fact that you can't get free refills for drinks in Hong Kong.

Part 6

Fala mentioned that she initially participated in pageants without her parents knowing.

Ma Ming and Fala both take the MTR, but Ma Ming doesn't get bothered much by other passengers, whereas Fala said that some passengers would take the initiative to chat with her or take pictures of her with their cell phones.

Part 7

At the end of each episode of "Fan and Kam", guests would write their wishes on a piece of paper and place it into a bottle. Ma Ming revealed what he had written: "Money. House. Car. Girls. Watch". Lai Chi San said that Ma Ming is the first artiste to reveal his wish.

Plato Lai: "You can continue to pursue Fala".

Kenneth Ma: "Okay, let's consummate our marriage".

Plato Lai: "Hasn't even successfully pursued her, but consummating first. That only happens in series".

Lai Chi San: "Really like seeing him pretend to be a player. I think it's really funny".

Kenneth Ma: "Pretending to be a player?!"

Fala Chen: "Pretending to be a player".

"Can't Buy Me Love" Promotional Event 2

Yesterday, Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Kenneth Ma, Fala Chen, Linda Chung, Raymond Wong, Louis Yuen, Susanna Kwan, Selena Li, etc. attended the second promotional event for "Can't Buy Me Love" held at Olympian City. The first week of "Can't" averaged 33 points, and peaked at 38 points.

The series was aired during the Philippines bus hijack tragedy, so the cast and crew will not be celebrating anytime soon. The cast hopes that "Can't" will be able to bring laughs and happiness to the audience. They also hope that the people who have been affected by the tragedy can face the future bravely.

Personal Note: Ma Ming wasn't supposed to attend this promo event; however, TVB made him go. He and Fala left quickly after the event was over, as they had to continue filming "Female Fist".

During the event, the pairs were to come up with something to rhyme with "金家精神", followed with an action reflecting that saying.

Raymond's saying, "開開心心", didn't rhyme with "金家精神". How come Mui Siu Ching didn't make him come up with another one? They pretended to kiss, and Raymond lifted Linda.

Ha ha.... Moses took so long to come up with something to rhyme, but he then came up with "霹靂過人", which didn't really make sense. Moses then carried Charmaine on his back.

Ma Ming and Fala came up with "笑鬼死人", and then he and Fala laughed, causing others to laugh as well. Ha ha.... :D

In "Can't Buy Me Love", Moses Chan and Charmaine Sheh will go from a bickering pair to a devoted couple. Earlier, the series filmed one of its big scenes. Apart from the participation of Moses and Charmaine, Susanna Kwan, Lee Heung Kam, Kenneth Ma, Selena Li, Linda Chung, Raymond Wong, Louis Yuen, Fala Chen, and child actors were also in the scene causing ancient street to be very busy and lively.

The scene was very lively. Moses said, "In the series, Charmaine and I will go from a bickering pair to a devoted couple. There are many child actors filming in this scene. I think filming with child actors is very interesting. Before filming, I would talk to them and get to know them a little more, so everything will go smoothly when the filming starts". Moses also praised one of the child actors as extremely smart. He said, "She is very clever, and she is cute and adorable! If I have an opportunity to have children in the future, I hope to have a daughter".

Kenneth Ma has worked with many child actors in series, so with time, he has trained a method for getting along with children. Kenneth said, "I used to always take care of my two nephews, so I have a little bit of knowledge toward children. Every child has his or her own characteristics, so it is most important to take note of their likings. Just like today, I'm holding this baby actor, and I found out that he likes to look at the street. He is very happy when he looks at the street. But his costume covers his eyes most of time, so I purposely moved the cloth down a bit, so it would not block his view".
