Fala Chen Gets Married in Paris on May 18th

On May 18th (France time), Fala Chen wed her French boyfriend of three years, Emmanuel Straschnov, in Paris. Fala wore a simple white wedding dress that was tailor-made by a Milanese designer. Their parents and over a hundred relatives and friends witnessed the two officially becoming husband and wife. Although Emmanuel is a French native, he speaks fluent Mandarin. He spoke in Mandarin promising to Fala's parents that he would take care of her for the rest of his life, and his father also congratulated the newlyweds in Mandarin.

Fala's classmates from the Juilliard School sang and recited Shakespeare's poem at the wedding.

Emmanuel even personally designed a unique pink diamond ring for his wife, which symbolizes that the two's love and happiness are forever. Regarding officially becoming Emmanuel's wife, Fala said with gratitude, "The happiest was being able to see our relatives and friends from all over the world gathering together. Really touched to receive everyone's blessings".

Today, Steven Ma and Fala Chen were in Tsuen Wan filming an MV for their duet song, "Platonic Love", but Steven said that this song wants to express the brother-sister love between a guy and a girl: "It's about my heartfelt wishes. I told the producer that I wanted it be a song about our feelings. We filmed four series; we were brother and sister in two of them. She calls me 'elder brother'. Want to talk with an open heart for many things. Does not have to necessarily be a love song for a guy and a girl".

Fala revealed that Steven has many scripts on hand. When Steven told Fala to chip in money to invest, Fala laughingly said, "I don't have money! That's my hard-earned money!" Steven humourously told Fala's manager, Claudie Chung, to invest. In addition, Fala revealed that she will be filming a movie about Cheung Po Tsai with Ronald Cheng soon.

Steven Ma and Fala Chen went to a radio station to promote their duet song. This song talks about the love between a godbrother and a godsister. Steven said that they also refer to each other as brother and sister in private. Fala said that, when she just entered the industry, she would always ask Steven how to handle the paparazzi.

Would they ask about their romantic matters and contract renewal with TVB? Steven laughingly said, "I really support people to follow their heart's desire and to be themselves. However, a relationship is two people's matter. Regarding contract renewal, then no". Fala said, "I always ask him whether he would get married. The girl beside him has a lot of positive energy, but he is a Chaozhou macho man...girls need to be comforted".

Fala Chen and Kenneth Ma went to the Sha Tin Racecourse to attend an event. Regarding TVB restricting artistes from going to Mainland to film series, Fala, who has left the company, expressed not having heard about it. Although she has not really filmed series up north during her many years in TVB, she pointed out that TVB gives its artistes some freedom to film outside to balance out the income.

Kenneth said that the company is definitely the priority...can only make some real money when there is free time, such as him recently filming the Mainland movie "Impetuous Love in Action" for the first time. At the event, when he and model Jocelyn were taking a photo together, he helped her fix her dress like a gentleman...no wonder he has been said to have gained the interest of three actresses while filming in Mainland. He clarified, "Actually, fantasy is beautiful, but the reality is cruel. If you look closely, would know that they're stills. Haven't had dinner outside of work. Their expectations are very high. In their hearts, I am not qualified".

Yesterday, when Fala Chen attended a brand name event, she was not willing to reveal whether her character, Holiday Ho, chooses 'Cool Monster' Julian Cheung or 'Sam Gor' Francis Ng in the ending of "Triumph in the Skies II". Last night, Fala Chen attended a fashion show in a waist-revealing outfit and black stockings. Regarding the good feedback for "Triumph in the Skies II", she laughingly said that that the spotlight has been stolen by Kenneth Ma and Elena Kong's intimate scenes: "Thus, I wore black stockings (Elena's trademark). After the series released, it has been good for everyone...a lot more jobs...making money together...everyone is happy". When Fala was asked whether a movie version of "Triumph" would be filmed, she said, "Don't know yet. Not confirmed yet. Would be quite interesting if there is one. Hope that I would be included as well. (Would you want to portray the same role?) It doesn't matter. Look at the storyline. Okay as long as filming with the two cool guys again. (Still keep the back-revealing scene?) The boundaries in films are greater. (Reveal the front?) Cannot. Cannot pass my own barrier. Not confident in myself".

Fala also revealed that she would temporarily not be going to the US to study because jobs have been coming one after the other: "Crazy busy. The jobs are very captivating". Regarding "Triumph II" having a lot of product placement, Fala said, "I also understand that TVB has to make money. Hope that everyone pays more attention to us and the storyline". Regarding her romantic matters, Fala said, "Still the same. Leave it up to fate".

Julian Cheung Receives Fala Chen's Kiss to Celebrate Birthday Beforehand

At a promotional event for "Triumph in the Skies II", 'Cool Monster' Julian Cheung and magician Louis Yan performed magic for Fala Chen, making her fly up into the air; unfortunately, a mistake was made on the side! Since Julian's birthday is on the 27th, Fala specially made a cake appear and gave him a kiss, immediately causing a big reaction. TVB also prepared an earth cake to celebrate. Julian expressed that, because a high mood has been maintained this year, hope to spend the day of his birthday ordinarily: "I am very afraid of surprise parties. Best to not have it. Artiste Kenneth Ma was promoting the currently airing series "Triumph in the Skies II". His bed scene with Elena Kong is expected to air soon; Kenneth frankly said that it is mainly a humourous feeling, and that the extent is not as vast as Fala Chen and Julian Cheung's.

Kenneth also said that he will be going to Xiangshan to do location filming for the new TVB series "Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon". After completion, he will immediately fly to Tianjin to film Jackie Chan's new movie. He explained that he is not the male lead: "There is also a Mainland actor who is actually [the lead]. (You are portraying a playboy character again?) It is a lawyer; however, I have received the script, but have not had the time to look at it".

Last night, artistes Wayne Lai, Fala Chen, Moses Chan, and Christine Ng were in Tsim Sha Tsui, chipping in to treat the cast and crew to a celebration dinner for the completion of the series "Will Power". TVB executive Catherine Tsang was also in attendance. Fala pointed out that a number of the leads chipped in for this dinner. To pay the bill, everyone had to pay five figures. When discussing the new series, Fala highly praised the storyline as being closely linked like that of foreign series...has a lot of flavour: "However, it was best that there was more resting time. This time, filming was not considered to be laborious". As for Wayne, after completing this series, he is immediately immersed in the filming of "No Reserve". Because of the requirement of the storyline, he has been doing a lot of push-ups and basking in the sun: "Hope to give viewers a scare then".

Last night, TV King Wayne Lai did location filming for the new series "Will Power". Yesterday morning, TVB artiste Kenneth Ma, new 'TV Queen' Tavia Yeung, Fala Chen, 'Homebody Guy Goddesses' Eliza Sam, Samantha Ko, and Christine Kuo, etc. attended a charity walk. Because it was early in the morning and the weather was cold, the female artistes, who just woke up, wore light makeup and had scarves and knitted hats...covered up from top to bottom! Although there was nothing special about their clothing, they still attracted many people at the event. During the walk, there were many times in which citizens were taking pictures and shouting! Due to a lack of male artistes, Kenneth and upcoming siu sang Jason Chan became the most popular. When many Metro DJs saw Jason, they immediately crazily shouted and told Nancy Sit to become a 'matchmaker', hoping to take a picture with him.

Personal Note: Ha ha.... Fala looks like a Korean idol! :P

From memory, Shirley seems to have participated in this walk every year since her debut, so it makes sense for her to be properly dressed for it. ;)

Julian Cheung and Fala Chen became friends from filming a series together. The two were also invited to attend last night's countdown event, and could not stop chatting after seeing each other. Julian revealed that he rushed over here to repay Fala because he does not want to owe money in the new year. During location filming in Paris, the two chipped in to buy red wine, with Fala already paying for it. Julian also highly praised Fala for being attentive and considerate, and would take care of the cast and crew. It is no wonder that Francis Ng labelled Fala as 'Godmother'. Julian laughingly said, "We call her 'Godmother' because she often takes care of our daily lives...takes really good care of us, and we also need someone to take care of us, so I think she is our godmother, but she said that we made her old by calling her that". When Fala knew that Julian had revealed this nickname, she pouted and said teasingly, "I am the youngest in the group...can't accept it. I also have a laborious life...only being a maid. (Getting praised for being worth marrying?) Have to ask them". When discussing about last year's development, Fala was satisfied. She also revealed that she has many work plans on hand in the new year.
