- Kenneth Ma, Louis Yuen, Eliza Sam, and Priscilla Wong are the elite of a detective agency managed by Elvina Kong. Every case has a relation to food.
- Kenneth and Louis are private investigators from a different class who both work at a detective agency run by Elvina. Kenneth is a chef with mediocre culinary skill, but is engrossed in investigating. By chance, he joins Elvina's detective agency where he meets Louis, an investigator with a golden tongue. Louis has an outstanding intuition toward food and investigating cases. The two are a bickering pair in eating.
- Kenneth is originally a lazy kitchen helper but frequently dreams of becoming a private investigator. After getting fired, he learns to become an investigator from former cop Louis. He thinks that he is very cool, but is actually treated as an 'escort soldier' by Eliza and Oceane Zhu. In the first few episodes, he already has an overt crush on Eliza. He mainly has a romantic storyline with Eliza. His nickname is 「神探菠蘿油」.
- Louis will play Mak Sai, a former cop.
- Eliza is originally a reporter who does things a half beat slower, but when she goes to the detective agency, no one knows about her past. Although she looks like a pure girl, she has a rarely known secret: she is a killer.
- Priscilla Wong will play Kill (嬌), a mean truck driver who grew up with hooligans in Sham Shui Po. She owns a thrift shop. She is a crude rich girl who speaks rather coarsely. She has a tattoo on her leg. Her father has not liked her since she was young, and due to slapping her, she has problems hearing in her right ear. She and Louis are like good brothers; the two have a touching familial storyline that influences their path to growing up.
- Elvina will play Kenneth's elder sister.
- Oscar Leung will play a timid CID who has the personality of a little man. He and Jacqueline Wong are a pair; however, she has always liked someone else, but does not tell him about it and uses him.
- Jacqueline will play Chow Ching (周晴), a dessert chef who has returned to Hong Kong from France. She is a big woman with a firm and upright personality.
- Timothy Cheng will play a bad guy who bites the hand that feeds him. He and ex-wife Elvina originally manage a detective agency together, but in the end, they break up and divide the family property, which causes Elvina to become a money-conscious middle-aged woman with a failed marriage.
- Oceane goes from being in charge of a restaurant to a beauty parlour boss lady.
- Vivien Yeo will play a mentally disabled garbage girl with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old.
- Bowie Wu will play a retired cop who lives in the New Territories countryside. He is Louis' father.
- Lau Kong will play Priscilla's father.
- Angelina Lo will play Priscilla's mother.
- Iva Law will play Candy, Timothy's girlfriend.
- Cilla Kung will play a dark-skinned Tanka girl who sells salted fish. The wealthy Mat Yeung likes her, but she is suspicious of it, so she finds a private investigation agency to investigate him.
- Derek Wong will play a very effeminate homosexual pimp who feels Kenneth and Mat up.

Personal Note: So, Ma Ming is paired up with Eliza?
Jacqueline revealed earlier that she would be playing a lesbian who has a crush on Eliza, but the storyline seems to have changed such that it is left to the interpretation of viewers (i.e., she is suspected of being a lesbian, but she does not actually like Eliza).
