"ICAC Investigators 2016" Blessing Ceremony

Kenneth Ma Denies Having Series to Film Due to Contract Extension
Kenneth Ma, who is rumoured to have been frozen by TVB due to refusing to extend his contract, Ruco Chan, etc. attended a blessing ceremony for "ICAC Investigators 2016". The series also has the old cast of "Come Home Love", including Lai Lok Yi, Max Cheung, Florence Kwok, Joey Law, Angel Chiang, Glen Lee, etc. Miss Hong Kong second runner-up Karmen Kwok is also taking part. Kenneth expressed that the last time he filmed a series was in May or June. Having a series to film this time, is it because he has already been thawed or has extended his contract? He said, "No, I still have a period of time before my contract expires. Have not extended the contract. Only initially discussed the matter of contract renewal. Some colleagues' contracts are ending soon, thus are discussing contract renewal first". Kenneth emphasized that he has not experienced the situation of being summoned to the room and being requested to immediately respond with regards to contract extension, but do not know if others have been summoned to the room. Filming "ICAC" for the first time, Kenneth is happy to be able to collaborate with Director Herman Yau...hope to be able to create sparks and that there are opportunities to film his movies.

Steven Ma Dies in the Movie
In the movie, Kwan Ho's experience is extremely tragic. Her entire family dies in an accident, leaving her wandering on the brink of life of death time and again by herself. Steven Ma, who portrays Szeto Lai Sun, also makes a secret appearance in the movie. Because his character has already died in the movie, there is a scene where Kwan Ho sorrowfully recollects her husband, reuniting with Lai Sun in a dream. Regarding this, Steven laughingly said, "Ha ha. Yes, it is the unfulfilled love between a human and a ghost. Actually, this time, Director [Patrick Kong] invited me to guest-star. He has a lot of heart toward this movie. He even specially asked to meet with me to discuss and explain the story. He was very sincere. I was also touched by this story of his! 'Return of the Cuckoo' is a series from many years ago. Believe that everyone has the feeling of collective memories. I personally also really love this story. Hope that my appearance will give everyone some surprises!"

Partner Does Not Have to Be 'Fresh Meat': Most Important for Joey Meng to Have the Feeling

Joey Meng and Bobby Au Yeung had an opportunity to collaborate last year; however, because Bobby had a schedule conflict, he pulled out of "Officer Geomancer", but Joey still had to encounter Bobby.
A Match Made in Heaven with Bobby
Joey laughingly said, "Collaborating with Bobby for the first time, very fun to face him every day. Basically feel that we are a match made in heaven. All in all, smiling every day...very happy. He is more easy-going than I thought. Although there is a part of him that is like a kid, in reality, he is quite a big man, and is very gentlemanly. For example, he would pull out your chair for you when eating, and during interviews, he would sit on the side, and the women would sit in the centre, making people feel that he is very manly...very different from his usual grin. I think everything is fate. Previously could not battle in acting because he had a schedule conflict...then really collaborating in 'With or Without You'.
Having Sparks and Mutual Care
Joey laughingly said that, in her eyes, Bobby and Roger Kwok are both kids, but perhaps it is because Roger is already a father, so there is a daddy feeling...looks exactly like the 'Compendium of Materia Medica'. In contrast, Bobby is really a kid...need to pay attention to his words to know whether he is speaking the truth or not. This is the greatest difference between the two of them. Did she ever get deceived? Joey said, "Bobby loves to talk nonsense...appears true but actually wrong, but not to the point of being daring enough to deceive me. Since we are partners, have to take care of one another. If he were to deceive me, see if he has better days!"
Like to collaborate with this level of actors, and do not want to partner with 'fresh meat' actors? Joey said, "Not related. In the series, have a very good relationship with Vincent Wong. We will have a lot of inner conflict, gradually revealing what previously happened to Roger". Like to film laughing or crying series? "Of course, after filming laughing, want to film a serious one. Also want to try other genres. Not regulating myself about what I want to do, as it actually doesn't matter! Temporarily maintaining filming one series per year, but also said this before. In the end, also accepted. Regarding it being said that it feels weird to find a specialist to dub a Shanghainese person's accent, he instead praised the dubbing artist. "I initially thought that Anthony would be dubbing for me, since using the same person's voice is more perfect. Perhaps everyone is too familiar with my voice. Actually, this dubbing artist has put on a 70-percent resemblance to Anthony's voice!" Kenneth expressed treating the reports as promotion for the series, and he would not mind.
