Moses Chan to Be in "73 Tenants"

Moses is currently busy filming "Beyond the Realm of Conscience", and he has gained 20 lb. of excess weight. He is weighing in at over 200 lb. Apart from finding it more difficult in his movement, Moses also feels that his waist 'vanishing'. He laughs, "I have to report my loss! Luckily, an advertising agent has 'eyed' (sponsored) me, I hope to lose 20 lb. in 30 days under the instructions of eating low-fat foods with exercise".

As for boss Sir Run Run making movies under Shaw Brothers, Moses expresses with great excitement, "I have left the movie industry for over ten years, but I will later guest-star in the movie '73 Tenants'. I hope for more to come".

Personal Note: I still think that Moses looks cute! Ha ha....

Anyway, how can TVB make a comedy movie and not cast Moses? Besides, Miss Lok is in charge of the casting, so her favourites are bound to be in it. Since Eric Tsang and Sandra Ng are the main leads, I'm guessing that the movie will be like "Golden Chicken", and all of the TVB-ers in it will be playing guest-stars or making cameo appearances.

On a side note, will Sandra be having any scenes with Moses? She did openly say that (in TVB) she wanted to work with him. That would be awesome!

Personal Note: I was expecting the song to be more powerful, but overall, it sounds very beautiful. This is Ron's first solo theme! Ron's vocals have improved (unlike others). He is singing with emotions! Ha ha.... The song sounds a little bit like Leon Lai's "Summer Taste". I look forward to watching Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai, Kiki Sheung, Kara Hui, and Nancy Wu. I really hope that the series will be a hit, so Wayne's character will be as big as 'Laughing Gor'. If the series gets high ratings, Wayne might have a chance at 'Best Actor' this year. Good luck!

Kenneth Ma Wants to Work with Tavia Yeung

Sweet Talker Kenneth Ma Praises Kate Tsui for Having Smooth Shoulders

Kenneth Ma and Kate Tsui were at a promotional event for "Man in Charge" yesterday. When asked to take a picture together, sweet-talker Kenneth praised Kate for having smooth shoulders. He was not afraid of being referred to as a salt pork hand. Later, Kenneth laughed, "I'm just praising her for having smooth skin and nothing else. (Is rumoured girlfriend Nancy Wu as smooth?) I don't know, but girls tend to have smooth skin".

As for the ratings of "Man in Charge" not breaking 30 points, Kenneth said, "The series is stepping into the climax, and I have faith the ratings will rise".

When asked whether he was afraid of the audience getting tired of watching him and Kate paired up in series, Kenneth said, "I'm not worried because each series has different characters. (What about pairing up with Nancy?) I want to work with Tavia Yeung because my mom likes her! (She wants her as a daughter-in-law?) No, but I really admire Tavia's acting".

Kate expressed, "I know that the ratings are rising steadily, so it must have been affected by the Easter holiday. The feedback for the series is pretty good. I've never heard of the audience getting tired of seeing us as a couple. Most audience members accept us, but we temporarily do not have any collaborations".

Personal Note: Wow, many have mentioned Tavia in the news lately. Ha ha.... Ma Ming is so the sweet-talker!

Personal Note: At a promotional event for "Man in Charge", Ma Ming said that, apart from the original ending for the series, he suggested a different ending to the director. The director filmed both endings to let producer Lee Tim Sing choose. In the end, Lee Tim Sing chose Ma Ming's ending.

In this interview, Kate revealed that her character in "Man in Charge" will die.

I'm guessing that Ma Ming was supposed to end up with both Kate and Leila in the original ending. Thus, Kate's character dying will show the generosity in her personality.

Claire Yiu Gives Birth to 6.5 lb. Baby Girl

The 30-year-old Claire Yiu gave birth to a healthy 6.5 lb. baby girl, Kyra, on Sunday, April 19th, 2009. She was accompanied by husband Thomas Lam during the birthing process, and he also cut the umbilical cord. When asked whom Kyra resembles, Thomas laughed, "She has a mixture of both of our good traits. She is pretty, has big eyes, great skin, and she cries very loudly. She has giant lungs!" Claire predicts that Kyra will be spoiled, as her baby clothes and diapers already have sponsors. Kyra is certainly loved all around!

Claire also explains that Kyra is being 'fought over' by her friends. Tavia Yeung is Kyra's godmother, Christine Ng is the older auntie, and Sharon Chan is the younger auntie. Chatchai Plengpanich also expressed that he would like to be Kyra's godfather.

FYI: Chatchai Plengpanich played Sam in "Split Second".

Personal Note: Congratulations to Claire and Thomas! For some reason, I was guessing that they were going to have a boy! Ha ha....

TVB Movie News

Apart from making "Laughing Gor's Prequel" (filming will begin after Michael Tse is finished filming "Hail the Husband"), TVB and Shaw Brothers will also film two other movies. One will be in collaboration with EEG, while the other one will star Sandra Ng, Eric Tsang, and all of TVB's siu sangs and fa dans called "73 Tenants". The director will be Lee Lik Chi. The movie will be similar to Shaw Brothers' 1973 comedy production "72 Tenants" (七十二家房客). Lee said that the movie is planned to be filmed in July or August.

The producer will be Eric Tsang.

FYI: The 1973 production of "72 Tenants" (七十二家房客) starred Lydia Shum, Wu Kam, Elliot Yue, Lee Ching, Adam Cheng, Ting Pau, Nam Hung, Chor Yuen, Danny Lee, Kuk Fung, Ricky Hui, Helena Law, Leung Tin, Sai Gwai Pao, Ho Sau Sun, etc. The movie had a box office of 5.6 million, and it even beat Bruce Lee's "Return of the Dragon" for the number one movie of that year.
