Belated Love - Best Song of the Year

For the last 2 months, I have been obsessed with Leo Ku's song, "Belated Love". It is so good! Leo actually sang the song with his true vocals just like when he first started to sing. It's amazing that he didn't use any fake vocals in the song. I love this song. This is probably the best song of the year! Many people have viewed Leo Ku's "Belated Love" as being equivalent to Eason Chan's "Shall We Talk".

Anniversary Time II

My guess for final top 5 males in Best Supporting Actor category would be Kenny Wong, Wayne Lai, Paul Chun, John Chiang, and Chung King Fai or Lau Dan.

My guess for final top 5 females in Best Supporting Actress category would be Kiki Sheung, Gigi Wong, Rebecca Chan, Helen Ma, and Rain Lau or Florence Kwok.

The award for Best Supporting Actor will go to Kenny or Wayne.

"Safe Guards" got unexpected ratings for it being a low-production show. It was all thanks to many of the 'green leaves' who were in it. Wayne Lai’s acting ability is unbelievable. He is extraordinary when it comes to the roles he plays in ancient series. He is able to speak the ancient dialogue with the emotional gestures, correct tone, and rhythm. Kenny's role in "The Dance of Passion" stood out amongst the whole cast. He managed to steal the limelight away from the two male leads, Bowie Lam and Moses Chan, by showing off his 43-inch chest and six-pack abs. When it is down to the acting, there is no doubt about it that it will go to Wayne Lai hands down. If it is the recognition and the amount of popularity gained, then Kenny's chances have shot up right to the top. If TVB decides to give Kenny the award for Best Supporting Actor, then "Safe Guards" will have a greater chance at taking the award for Best Series. If it is the other way around, Kenny will receive an award for Best Male Character, just like Michael Tse, as I am predicting. Either way, Kenny will definitely be getting an award for his performance.

I have no clue who is going to win the award for Best Supporting Actress this year. In the beginning, I was hoping for Kara Hui to take it, but since she is not nominated in any of the categories, it will be a hard choice. It will be difficult for Angela Tong to repeat because she did not have a breakthrough character this year. Kiki Sheung would most certainly be a strong opponent next year for 師奶兵團. If Michelle Yim had a series aired this year, she would definitely be my first choice.

Anniversary Time I

With the TVB's Anniversary just a month and a half away, voting has finally started. Even though I know the results will be rigged by TVB, I still keep my hopes up and support the ones who actually deserve to win.

My guess for final top 5 guys in Best Actor category would be Bobby Au Yeung, Steven Ma, Damian Lau, Bowie Lam, and Moses Chan or Joe Ma.

My guess for final top 5 girls in Best Actress category would be Sheren Tang, Ada Choi, Myolie Wu, Charmaine Sheh, and Yoyo Mung or Melissa Ng or Louisa So or Gigi Lai.

This year, I am rooting for Bobby and Sheren to take home the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress.

As always, Bobby is the only one who can guarantee ratings for TVB. His series, "Forensic Heroes", is ranked number 2 in ratings so far this year, just after "La Femme Desperado". All of his series (except "Hidden Treasures") have managed to pull high ratings. Every year, Bobby is always my favourite to win. The male leads this year were not that outstanding. The only male artistes who stood out were Michael Tse and Kenny Wong. Although Michael is nominated for Best Actor, TVB would probably rip him off by giving him a character award. With that much competition, Bobby can easily win the award.

As for the female side, Sheren's role as Hilda in "La Femme Desperado" has been dubbed as the role model for women in HK. The viewers in HK have not forgotten Yue Fei. Sheren's chances are very high because her relationship with TVB has taken a step up due to the fact that she is cast in the 60-episode long series. Her name is even placed higher than Jessica Hsuan's. Compared to the male side, the competition on the female side is more of a closer battle. TVB has been trying to push Charmaine up to the higher rank, so they would not dare to give the award to Myolie before her. Charmaine's chances might be lowered because she is nominated for two different series. Her votes might be split into two. Even though Myolie's series, 肥田囍事, has yet to be aired, it has already gained a lot of publicity because Myolie had to gain weight for the role. Ada also has a chance for the award. Her performance in "The Dance of Passion" was phenomenal. In the series, only Ada, Charmaine, and Kenny's characters stood out. As for the final spot, Melissa and Yoyo have really been rising this year. With their series placing at number 1 and number 2, the final spot might go to either one of them.

A Blast from the Past: Fa Dans @ 1998 TVB Anniversary

This picture was taken at the beginning of TVB's 31st Anniversary in 1998. Too bad Mariane Chan was not in the picture or else the '7 Dong Ka Fa Dan' would be together. I so miss this generation of 'fa dans'. The fourth generation 'fa dans' are not going to match up to their status.

I Used to Believe...

I used to believe if you don't wipe your mouth before bedtime, spiders will urinate on your lips.

I used to believe swallowing kiwi seeds will give you freckles.

I used to believe cotton candy came from the clouds.

I used to believe caterpillars could pop bicycle tires.

I used to believe eating a fuzzy peach will give you a hairy tongue.

I used to believe speaking Cantonese meant you were Japanese.

I used to believe snap bracelets and people wearing ball caps backwards were cool.

馬國明 胡定欣被無線撮合

胡定欣早前與吳浩康分手，今日中秋佳節會否感到人月不團圓倍傷感﹖她說工作忙碌，加上中秋節只想與家人吃飯，不一定要有男友在身邊相伴。

最近無線找來馬國明與她組「定明檔」，一起主持中秋特備節目。原來胡定欣於電視劇《衝上雲霄》已認識他，但從沒對手戲，兩人最近被公司撮合一起，最初她也 擔心大家是否合襯，想不到又出奇地夾得來。馬國明亦想不到和胡定欣成為熒幕上的「最佳拍檔」，除中秋特輯外，公司還安排他們主持無線收費台一個烹飪節目， 又給他們主持特備遊戲節目。

冇想過拍檔變情侶

有消息指無線對他們合拍程度十分滿意，有意塑造他們成「熒幕拍檔」，以後接工作或拍劇也由兩人一起演出。對於公司的安排，他們樂於接受，但會否因此成為情侶﹖兩人異口同聲表示沒想過，但因近期合作多了，彼此加深認識，相信會成為好朋友。

Personal Note: TVB wants to make Kenneth Ma and Nancy Wu into a duo and pair them up at events, game shows, and TV series due to their great chemistry shown on a recent Moon Festival show. That's wonderful news for Kenneth fans because some of them wanted them to pair up ever since "Triumph in the Skies". Too bad they didn't have any screen time together in there. TVB will also arrange for the pair to host a cooking program on Pay Vision channel. I've noticed that Ming Pao usually has more news on Kenneth. I think they publish more on Kenneth because they love him. Ha ha!

Baby Ada

Ada Choi Siu Fun

"Hi, my name is Ada Choi Siu Fun, but many people call me '美女芬' or 'BBQ Pork Rice'. After appearing on "Beautiful Cooking", I've been given the name 'Pineapple Fun'. Also, Justin Lo and Leo Ku proposed to me due to my magnificent cooking skills. Ha ha! I was born on September 17, 1973. I entered TVB by participating in Miss Hong Kong Pageant 1991, and I was crowned 2nd runner-up (3rd place). Throughout my acting career, I've been blessed with wonderful scripts and took on many roles. In 1998, God bestowed the 'Best Actress' award to me for playing Jackie Tong in 'Healing Hands'. At that moment, I felt very honoured and blessed. The role of Yan Fuk in 'Where the Legend Begins' would have to be my favourite role. Also, in my career, I was able to find true friendship. I have many friends in the entertainment business. They include Flora Chan, Monica Chan, Nick Cheung, Moses Chan, Catherine Hung, Teresa Mo, Noel Leung, Athena Chu...and the list is endless. They've all been very supportive, and I love them all!

After working with TVB for so many years, I have obtained a great relationship with them. Next year, I will be taking part in Chik Kei Yi's 80-episode long drama. The cast will be a cross between 'The Dance of Passion' and 'CIB Files'. I hope you guys will anticipate it. God bless you!"

Personal Note: I personally love Ada! She is very entertaining to watch and she has an awesome personality. I would have to say she is the most beautiful 'fa dan' in TVB. Plus, she is the only one who can jokingly admit she is the most beautiful. That is what makes her so funny. Ada's religion is Christianity. She believes in God. Many people get annoyed when artistes constantly mention their religion. I have no problem about that. Ada went through a very unhappy past. Believing in God has made her look over them. Being a fan, I am happy as long as she is happy, and wish her the best in everything.
