傲慢與偏見 余文樂
After last year's release of 《Meridian》, Miriam returns with 《Wonder Miriam》. The album features twelve tracks including hits songs, such as "When Heroine Falls in Love with Mazinger" (track 1), "See You Tomorrow" (track 2), "Person Who Scoops the Moon" (track 3), "Great Philanthropist" (track 7), and "Wa Lai Yuen" (track 9). The composer, Chan Toi Jing, for "Person Who Scoops the Moon," originally composed the song for a mooncake commercial song. Miriam had always wanted a song with the moon as the topic, so she called upon Riley Lam to write the lyrics for the song. Real instruments were used in the recording studio to record this song, making it even stratified. In "Doodle" (track 6), Lin Xi used the concept of 'graffiti' as a metaphor as an inspiration for the lyrics to the song. The production process of the song was longer compared to the other songs on the album. After receiving the demo, it was sent to Korea for musical arrangements: Lin Xi writes the lyrics, Miriam records the song, and then Miriam's vocal section of the song was sent to Korea for the final touches used in arranging. After receiving the Korean mixed section of the song, the HK production side believed that there were portions of the song that could be better. Thus, they requested the Korean side to follow up on the revisions. "Wa Lai Yuen" (track 10) is a very 'Miriam' type of song because composer and lyricist Chan Ho Yin, along with lyricist Leung Chi Man, used over thirty of Miriam's song names and lyrics to form this track. Since the lyrics were made up before the tune, it was later given to YYY (Yu Yat Yiu) to arrange the fit for the lyrics. In "Hug the Memories" (track 11), Miriam sings it with an acoustic ray, giving the song a whole new aspect of Miriam Yeung.
