Baby Bobby

Bobby Au Yeung Chun Wah

"Hi, I am Bobby Au Yeung Chun Wah, but my real name is Au Yeung Yiu Chuen. I was born on July 28, 1961. I know I am not the typical 'good-looking' main actor, but I rely on my hard work and my acting skills to be where I am now. Ha ha! When I was informed that 'Forensic Heroes' recently finished broadcasting and the last episode's ratings reached a high of 42 points, I said, 'I am 40 some years old now; the ratings for my shows must go up with my age! Ha ha!' Anyway, I don't believe awards are rigged. I believe awards are 'made' for people to win. If you work hard, there will bound to be an award made for you. This is true because I won 'Most Favourite Actor' in the year 2000 for 'Witness to a Prosecution' Ha ha! I know I am not getting younger, but my female co-stars seem to be though. It started off with Amy Chan, Esther Kwan, Jessica Hsuan, Ada Choi, and now Yoyo Mung. Who knows whom I would be paired up with next? Ha ha! Out of all of my female co-stars, I feel I am most compatible with Jessica and Yoyo. They are both very playful and fun. They don't get angry if I pull pranks on them. There was a time I didn't know there was water in Jessica's paper cup and I splashed water all over her face. When it is down to business, they are very serious and professional. In 'Forensic Heroes', there was an intense kiss scene, and Yoyo insisted on the scene to be rehearsed before the cameras rolled. It was like a warm-up kiss. Ha ha! I'm just kidding. I am very nervous when I have to film kiss scenes. I am actually more afraid than my co-star".

Representative Works: "The File of Justice I to V", Taming of the Princess", "Armed Reaction I to IV", "Witness to a Prosecution", "The Legendary Four Aces", "Take My Word for It", "A Pillow Case of Mystery", and "Forensic Heroes".

Personal Note: Yes, Bobby isn't your typical 靚仔小生. He is well-rounded and has very little hair on his head, but he is so adorable and lovable. Jessica says that he looks like Garfield the cat because his eyes always seem as though he doesn't get enough sleep. I love Bobby for his personality and his acting ability. He is hilarious, and everybody loves him. In 2000, when he was saying his speech when he won 'Most Favourite Actor', Jessica, upon returning to her seat yelled out "Bobby!" He had to stop in the middle of his acceptance speech to greet her and then continue on. It was so funny.

Filming in Hot Weather

(Tavia Yeung wears tank top to film in heat, whereas Bosco Wong wears suit jacket)

Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung were filming for TVB's new series 《糖心風暴》 yesterday in Central, and Bosco had to wear a suit jacket in the 30-degree heat; he says that the temperature is nothing compared to the Philippines. However, he did buy cold drinks to treat others. Both of them were filming at around 10 pm, and even though it was at night, the temperature was still in the 30+ degrees. Bosco didn't complain and even joked around with Tavia.

When they were finished filming the scene and met the reporters, Tavia asked, "Which paper are you from?" Then Bosco immediately said, "You are choosing jobs now?", making Tavia burst into laughter. Later, Bosco explained, "I wouldn't dare to make fun of her! She is mean and bossy, and she hits people, so I wouldn't dare to make her angry. No, I'm just kidding with you. She is really a nice person".

The temperature was very hot that evening, making Bosco wipe his sweat with a napkin all the time, but he feels this is no big deal at all. "When I was filming in the Philippines, it was so hot that I didn't even want to speak, and I had to jump into a pool of water to cool down. In comparison, I feel that HK's temperature is not that bad to work in; it's only around 34 degrees. All I need is to have a couple of cold pops and I'm not hot. Plus, there's air conditioning in my car, so it is actually pretty comforting".

Baby Melissa

Melissa Ng Mei Heng

"Hello, I am TVB's Melissa Ng Mei Heng. I was born on May 5, 1972 in Zhongshan, China. At the age of 9 years old, my parents, my 2 older sisters, and my younger sister immigrated to San Francisco, California, USA. I also graduated from the University of San Francisco, where I majored in international relations. Just like Flora Chan, I also have a passion for dancing. My skills are Chinese dance and modern jazz. In 1996, I returned to Hong Kong to take part in the Miss Chinese International Pageant. I won first runner-up (2nd place). Since then, I have been working for TVB. This will be my 10th year at TVB now. Wow! Time flies by fast. I want to thank TVB for all the opportunities that they have given me. I feel that I have grown over the years here. I am so happy that 'La Femme Desperado' got such great feedback and ratings. The entire cast and crew deserve the applause. Ko Ling is a very great role to play. The character has expanded my role-playing. It is a blessing to have portrayed Ko Ling. I am currently resting at the moment because continuous filming has affected my immune system. I will not be filming until October. However, I would like to take this time to promote 'Love Guaranteed', which is airing right now. The series stars Sunny Chan, Kenneth Ma, Paul Chun, Rain Lau, Cherie Kong, Ram Chiang, etc. It is a modern comedy, and it is about love and insurance. Remember to watch it!"

Representative Works: "Secret of the Heart", "Lady Yang", "A Kindred Spirit", "A Herbalist's Affair", "The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow", "A Conqueror's Story", "Healing Hands III", and "La Femme Desperado".

Personal Note: The picture doesn't resemble Melissa much. The person next to her is her father, and the picture was taken in Zhongshan. Melissa is so elegant and graceful. She looked extraordinarily beautiful as Yue Gei in "A Conqueror's Story." It is no wonder that she is nicknamed 美人.

Congratulations to Cindy Au & Roger Kwok

Cindy Au and Roger Kwok got married last Saturday (July 22nd) at Hong Kong Disneyland after dating for 7 years. The wedding ceremony was only prepared in 20 days. It was always Cindy's dream to get married at Disneyland; now her dream came true. Although they never informed their friends from the entertainment industry, they still managed to have 10 tables at the reception. The reason why they did not invite their showbiz friends is because they wanted to keep their families away from the media. Cindy and Roger will be going to Korea for their honeymoon because that was where they both met. When their friends found out that they had gotten married, they were a little disappointed, but they offered their blessings and would like to be treated for supper.

Personal Note: Congrats to the both of them! It must have been an incredible wedding ceremony. It's like a fairy tale! Too bad their showbiz friends weren't there. I wonder if they are going to invite all of them to an after wedding party? That would be nice because Gallen Lo for sure won't let Roger off that easy.

Baby Tavia

Tavia Yeung Yi
Tavia Yeung
"Hi, I am Tavia Yeung Yi. I was born on August 30, 1979. I am only 3 days older than Ron Ng. That is why we always have our birthday parties together. Plus, we are managed by the same manager, and we are best friends. He likes to play tricks on me like taking funny pictures of me when I am sleeping on set or scaring me with his dog, Yam. Anyway, I entered TVB by joining TVB's 13th Acting Class. Other classmates included Raymond Lam, Mat Yeung, David Do, Olivia Fu, Jones Lee Chung Hei, and Meini Cheung. The most unforgettable moment in my career as an actress was winning TVB's 'Most Improved Female Artiste' award in 2003 for the role of Kelly Wan Ka Lei in 'Vigilante Force'. I recently finished filming 'Dicey Business', where I star opposite Bosco Wong. Now, I am currently filming Lau Ka Ho's 40-episode long drama. In the series, I will play a model and I am also paired up with Bosco in this series. I will continue to work hard, and I hope I will be able to play an evil role in the future".

Representative Works: "Eternal Happiness", "Whatever It Takes", "Vigilante Force", "Twin of Brothers", "The Prince's Shadow", and "A Pillow Case of Mystery".

Personal Note: You can tell that the kid picture looks like Tavia. She looks pretty cute. Tavia is such a playful person. She's got a very healthy image going on. She is quite low-key just like Anne Heung and Melissa Ng. She and Ron are just adorable when they are together. If only they are a real couple.

Baby Jessica

Jessica Hester Hsuan

"Hello! My name is Jessica Hester Hsuan (Suen Huen). I was born on August 18, 1970. I graduated from the University of London and majored in Chemical Engineering. In 1991, I filmed a commercial for Ferrero Rocher chocolate and was discovered by TVB. In 1992, I signed with TVB as a managed artist. In 1999, I won the award for 'Most Favourite Actress' for the role of Queen Mo Chiu Kwan (Miss Mo) in 'Detective Investigation Files IV'. It may seem that my social circle is small in the industry, but I do have a lot of true friends like Flora Chan, Louis Koo, Gallen Lo, Bobby Au Yeung, Wong He, Tavia Yeung, Melissa Ng, Raymond Lam, Jacky Lui, Roger Kwok, Cindy Au, Alex Fong Chung Sun, Moses Chan, Eileen Yeow, Natalie Wong, etc. After working for TVB for so many years, I have been given the title for 'Most Faithful Artist to TVB". I don't know if that is going to change because, in October, I am switching my contract to a per series contract. I will no longer be managed by TVB. Hopefully, it will not affect my relationship with the company".

Representative Works: "The File of Justice IV & V", "Cold Blood Warm Heart", "Old Time Buddy", "Detective Investigation Files IV", "Witness to a Prosecution", "A Step Into the Past", "Golden Faith", "Square Pegs", and "Life Made Simple".

Personal Note: Jessica looks very cute in this picture. The thing I like most about Jessica is her straightforward attitude. She is so real and never fake. She is so true to herself and friendly. It is so funny when she goes on game shows because she is so loud; it is a joy watching her.

Baby Ron

Ron Ng Cheuk Hei
Ron NgRon Ng
"Hi, I am Ron Ng Cheuk Hei! I was born on September 2, 1979. In 1998, I was employed by TVB's dance department as a dancer. I remember Tavia Yeung and Raymond Lam were next door taking lessons from TVB's Acting Class. It wasn't until the year 2000 that Louis Koo encouraged and recommended me to sign up for TVB's drama department. Just like Louis, I don't smile often. I don't look so great when I smile. I like my 'cool' look better. I really have to thank the company for giving me so many chances. In 2004, I was very fortunate to win the award for 'Most Improved Male Artiste' at TVB's Anniversary. A big thanks to my manager, Garly Chan, family, friends, and fans for their trust in me. I will continue to work hard and improve in all aspects. I will not disappoint those who have faith and believe in me".

Representative Works: "Triumph in the Skies", "Twin of Brothers", "The Academy", "Revolving Doors of Vengeance", and "Men in Pain".

Personal Note: When Ron was born, his mother never told their relatives whether Ron was a boy or a girl, so most of the relatives thought Ron was a baby girl in this picture. I love Ron! He is so '靚仔'! I also love his dimples! Of all the female co-stars whom Ron has been rumoured with, he is only close with Tavia. He is so comfortable around her. They can wrap their arms around each other or hold hands in public. He wouldn't do that with other female co-stars no matter how well he knows them.

A Blast from the Past: 2002 New Year Supper

(Top left) ?, Ron Ng, Tavia Yeung, Bernice Liu, Hawick Lau, Raymond Lam, and Mat Yeung

This picture was taken by Tavia Yeung at a New Year supper in 2002. They were having competitions to see who would take the best pictures. My guess is that Tavia most likely won. They all look so happy!
