Kate Tsui and Linda Chung are both nominated for this year's HKFA in the category for Best New Artist.
Linda is nominated for her silver screen debut in 《十分愛》 "Love Is Not All Around". Kate is also nominated for her silver screen debut in 《跟蹤》 "Eye in the Sky".
Kate's chances of winning this award are far greater than Linda's, since "Eye in the Sky" is a cop film whereas "Love Is Not All Around" is a romantic-love film.
"Eye in the Sky" is longtime screenwriter Yau Nai Hoi's directorial debut. The film is produced by big-time director Johnnie To Kei Fung. The film also has great actors, such as Tony Leung Ka Fai, Simon Yam, Lam Suet, Maggie Shiu, Eddie Cheung, Wayne Lai, and Berg Ng.
Now, I am not too familiar with the other nominees for the 'Best New Artist' category; however, I do know that Kate has received many praises from movie directors and other movie critics for her role. It is evident that she is out of her depth when compared to Tony Leung Ka Fai or Simon Yam; however, overall, Kate handled her character's emotions well in the film.
