According to a report, Alice Chan will be starring as the female lead in the new series "Return", which is premiering this July. In the same series, there will also be 'TV King' Roger Kwok and a new generation of actors, Chow Ka Lok, Ricco Ng, Kayan Yau, et al.
This time, Producer Lam Chi Wah is shooting "Return", and has invited [Alice] to take part.
The new series "Return" is starring Alice and Roger, as well as the appearance of 'rookie kings' Chow Ka Lok, Ricco, Kayan, Joey Thye, Erica Chan, et al. The story takes place in 1997, the year of the return, when the married couple of Alice and Chinese-style chef Roger are working in a teahouse, but there is an unexpected occurrence in the two's relationship. Later, [they] divorce; Alice decides to go north to start a business and establish her own food and beverage kingdom, bringing Hong Kong's teahouse culture to Mainland China, while Roger chooses to stay in Hong Kong, and even takes over the teahouse where he used to work.
Chow Ka Lok and Ricco play the sons of Alice and Roger. Back then, after Alice and Roger divorced, Ricco followed Alice to the north, while Chow Ka Lok and Roger stayed in Hong Kong. Twenty-five years after 1997, mother and son Alice and Ricco return to Hong Kong. Later, Ricco, who is the CEO of a start-up company, holds a Greater Bay Area entrepreneurship competition in Hong Kong, and happens to encounter Chow Ka Lok, who goes to participate in the competition. From the beginning, the family story between the married couple and the two brothers that is centred around China and Hong Kong slowly unfolds.
Regarding Ricco's casting, [Lam Chi Wah] expressed that Ricco is extremely in line with the setup of the character: "The series still has many young people taking part. Mainly looked for him because he is suitable for the role. Because the character has returned from abroad, and he (Ricco) is handsome enough and studied in an international school, so he has a 'Western flavour'". In addition to Alice, Roger, Chow Ka Lok, Ricco, et al., the producer even revealed that Liza Wang will also be taking part, but he is keeping everyone guessing, saying, "Liza is also taking part. This role can only be done by her, but cannot say it now yet. You will know then".

- The series is a warm modern series about family affection, telling the story of movie stuntman 'Hung Sap Yat' and his family, as well as a group of old friends on the set.
- The 'qinggong' in the story is not only about 'Hung Sap Yat'''s awe-inspiring history on the set but also showing a carefree attitude toward life to express letting go of stubbornness and one's ego that must be cultivated in life.
- The story talks about Wayne Lai, who was a stuntman at the time, rescuing Mimi Kung from an inferno. The two jumped down from a high place and miraculously landed on the ground; this achievement has been constantly boasted about, and it has been suspected that the two know qinggong. What this story wants to tell the most is that, regardless of how well people get along with one another, there will always be conflicts and discord. Can we also learn to let go of our stubbornness so that we can live in a relaxed manner? Thus, the series title refers to letting go of your life homework.
- The story revolves around a group of residents of an old building. Most of these residents are behind-the-scenes people who used to work in the movie industry. The group of old friends had a movie dream; however, as times change, they also need to let go of their dreams and make changes to adapt to the new era. The story will also talk about these changes over the years.
- Wayne will play Hung Sap Yat (洪十一), who has strong martial arts skills and used to be in the martial arts field, but he has already retired. He is a former action actor, but he does not have to fight. He and Mimi are husband and wife; Joman Chiang and Brian Chu are their children. His old friends in movie industry are neighbours who live together.
- Mimi will play a Wayne's wife, but she already dies in the first episode. In the past, she was a popular celebrity. Back then, she admired Wayne's qinggong, so she married him. In the latter part, she becomes her body double; thus, she plays two characters.
- Joman will play Hung Yik Nam (洪翊嵐), the daughter of Wayne and Mimi. Her character is more relaxed. She and her younger brother, Brian, do not live with their parents; however, after their mother's death, she and her younger brother return to the building for different reasons to live with their father, seeing the neighbours again. In between, a lot of interesting things happen. She has a romantic storyline with Fred Cheng, and she also has a boyfriend; Fred greatly admires her father and ends up liking her.
- Brian will play Hung Yik Fung (洪翊風), a slashie who clashes a lot with his father, Wayne, who has traditional views. Jessica Kan is his girlfriend, but she cheats on him.
- Rebecca Zhu will play a makeup artist with some artistic qualities.
- Fred will play Yuen Chik (元植), a Chinese Korean who is highly skilled in martial arts. He has liked martial arts and Chinese kung fu since he was young. Once he graduates, he goes to China to learn many different kung fu styles. He is considered a kung fu master. When he grows up, he goes to Hong Kong in hopes of (1) being apprenticed to Wayne because he heard that Wayne knows qinggong, which he wants to learn, and (2) finding who his father is.
