"Scoop" Clip

Ron Ng, Denise Ho, Joel Chan, Sire Ma, Koni Lui, Chapman To, and other cast members of "OL Supreme" were in Mong Kok doing a promotional event for the series. Liza Wang is currently away on vacation, so a cardboard cut-out of her was used during the event. Ron said, "It's the new year, so it makes sense that Liza Jeh is on vacation. It does seem to be lacking without Liza Jeh present, but I believe Liza Jeh will be at the future promotional events".

A lucky draw took place during the event, and producer Wong Wai Sing drew Ron's name out of the box. Ron was the lucky winner of a gold tiger; however, the cast members joked and said that it was fixed. Chapman said, "This is what you call a biological son!" Ron responded, "There are a lot of biological sons in this series, but I'm just lucky! Last year, I won a gold ox! So, I definitely have luck! Just like last time, I will give it to my mom. I hope I can collect all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac".

When Ron was asked about his nerdy character in the series, he said that he was worried that the audience wouldn't be able to accept his character's silly air. However, later, he discovered that the chemistry with Chapman and Denise was not bad. That is when he stopped worrying about it.

Denise Ho Afraid of Watching Her Own Performance

OL_04OL_03

Denise is anticipating the airing of the series, as she hopes that it will succeed the 30 points in ratings of "Off Pedder". (Will you watch your appearance in this series?) Denise laughed, "Actually, I have always been afraid to watch myself act. I think it is very horrifying! Especially when 'Ambition' aired on TV...I literally had to run up to the TV and cover it. (Is it because of the bed scenes?) No, it's something worse than that! There was a scene where I had to call Eason Chan 'baby'. I get scared every time I think about it, but I'm trying to get used to re-watching the movies I've acted in. (Is it because you are nominated for 'Best Supporting Actress' in "Look for a Star"?) It is an encouragement, even though I don't know if I have a chance of winning or not. But acting under the identity of a singer, I think it is a sign of approval for my identity as an actress. It is like opening up a new journey for me. I hope to film more in the future!"

Personal Note: Ron is so lucky! What a good way to start the new year! :D I love it when he wears red! He he.... ;)

He and Kate Tsui each won a gold ox at last year's CNY programme. :D

The news keep saying that this is Denise's first TV series, which is so not true! Her first series was "Ant-crime Squad". She played a teacher and was paired up with Benny Chan. I can see how the audience can forget, but the media should do its homework!

Kenneth Ma in "Don Juan DeMercado" Again

Kenneth Ma in Don Juan De Mercado Again 01Kenneth Ma in Don Juan De Mercado Again 02Kenneth Ma in Don Juan De Mercado Again 03

In the sixth and final episode of "Don Juan DeMercado", Kenneth Ma and Matthew Ko appear in the bar scene.

Personal Note: It's funny because, in the sixth episode of "New Spring Menu", Ma Ming mentioned that he still makes cameo appearances. Even though producers tell him to not appear as passersby, later they will ask him to do them anyway. ;)

"In the Eye of the Beholder" Promotional Clip 1

Moses Chan as Wah On vs. Jin Au Yeung as Jin Au Yeung
0102

Crowd: "There's something to see!"

Ha Yu: "My expectations have always been strict. Other than teaching Wah Man and Wan Mo, [you will] also have to handle the Wah Family's important and trivial matters. Are you two ready? Let's start the interview!"

Personal Note: This should be a continuation promo clip, but it is very similar to the secretary competition promo clips for "OL Supreme" though. Catherine copying Tommy?! o_O

So, is it true that Jin and Cho Lam will be singing the theme song for this? Isn't Jin under Universal? For some reason, I thought it was a duet by Moses and Myolie!

Narrator: "The meeting of powerhouses are always at odds!"

KK Cheung: "So, you will hire whoever picks up the thumb tack?"

Liza Wang: "Yes!"

Chapman To: "Good morning, boss!"

Liza Wang: "Ah!"

Narrator: "Working for the boss, you are going to be busy for a while".

Denise Ho: "Where did the no-neck, fat guy go?!"

Denise Ho: "I am his boss!"

Liza Wang: "I, too, am your boss".

Chapman To: "Shut up!"

Personal Note: Chapman To was so funny..."Good morning, boss!" Ha ha.... :D

So looking forward to this, as it is actually a "situation comedy". ;D And, it should be similar to "War of the Genders". Ha ha.... :D

Not Afraid of Being Rumoured with Kate Tsui: Ron Ng Balances Gains and Losses by Turning Down Mainland Series

Ron Ng, Kate Tsui, Toby Leung, and Chow Chung were filming the new series "Reunion" in Sham Shui Po earlier. This time, Ron and Kate will be playing a pair. When the reporter asked Ron if he is worried about rumours, Ron laughed, "No, as I have already worked with Kate before, so there shouldn't be any rumours".

Many artistes like to make fast money by doing stage performances in the new year. Ron said, "I will be filming in the new year. Originally, I was supposed to film two Mainland series, but I turned them down, as I am filming 'Reunion' now." (Did you lose a chance to make extra income?) He said, "I understand that I cannot just film Mainland series to make money. I need to be known in Hong Kong, too. I believe the decision that I made was worth it. That is why I will not calculate [the gain and loss]". Ron and Kate seem to have a lot of chemistry together, as the filming process is rather rushed. Every time they take their places, they are very serious about it. Therefore, the filming of getting into and out of the car scenes is filmed in its first take. The filming progress is going very smoothly. Kate expressed that she is very happy filming this series, as the cast is very harmonious together. (What is your new year wish?) Kate laughingly said, "I don't want to think about it too much. I will continue work hard, and grasp onto every opportunity".

Toby looked rather tired, so the reporter comforted her. Toby said, "Wow, the filming of this series continues from day to night with only a few hours of rest time. Luckily, the entire cast is very compatible. Besides filming, I am also taking care of my business, so I am very busy". Toby and her friend have opened up a wedding planning business together. Other than designing and planning weddings, their business also organizes functions. She said, "It is very similar to the functions that public relations companies organize. I can learn more with an extra work of the trade. I love to act, but helpless that not everyone is able to accept me. Thus, in one hand, I am working on my business, and on the other hand, I can do my most loved acting. I have many goals in my life, and I am very happy right now".

Caption 1: Toby and Chow Chung's eyes are watering non-stop due to smoke from burning paper money.

Caption 2: Due to lack of rest and probably kneeling too long, Toby felt dizzy. During a re-take scene, crew members grabbed a canister for Toby to sit on.

Caption 3: Ron and Kate have already worked together. Before they got into their places, they were going over the script, and they were very focused during the actual filming. Most of the scenes were filmed on its first take.

Personal Note: I'm happy that Ron is filming in HK, but I didn't really want him to film this though. I'm not liking the genre. It seems as though it has been filmed a billion times already.

Poor Toby! She looks so skinny! She is probably still recovering from "Growing Through Life". Filming that series really messed up her health.

Anyway, I will slowly be posting up the fifth promo clip for "OL Supreme" and the first promo clip for "In the Eye of the Beholder", as I am currently at work right now. I am secretly going online, so I have no audio for the clips. Please be patient with me. :D

Bobby Au Yeung Returning to Hong Kong to Film in the Year of the Tiger

CREDIT IF REPOSTED

bobby_mingpao2154_01bobby_mingpao2154_02

In the article, Bobby said that he will be filming 《約伯有約》 "A Meeting with Job" with Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung at the end of February. After that, Bobby will film two Mainland series.

Although Bobby has not filmed any TVB series for over a year, luckily, Bobby has old series being re-aired on TV. "Previously, I couldn't film 'OL Supreme' due to a schedule clash, but luckily, I have old series re-airing. 'The Legendary Four Aces' is aired in the afternoon, and 'Forensic Heroes' is aired at night. Otherwise, it would have been bad. As you know, the idol type that I am, I need to keep my popularity and publicity up. After the Lunar break, I will film 《約伯有約》 "A Meeting with Job" with Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung. I am very happy, as I am very acquainted with them, so there will definitely be sparks. (However, Raymond is very popular. Are you afraid that he would steal your limelight?) He is tall, and his look is okay. It's just a bit better than mine. His acting experience is above ten years, so we can compare our acting. I am very acquainted with him, but we have never filmed with each other. I think he is not bad". As for Raymond winning 'Asia Pacific Most Popular Hong Kong Male Singer', Bobby fully supports Raymond. "My wife and I watched his concert, and I think he has a good standard in singing, and he can dance, and he also knows how to mesmerize people with his eyes. I think he is really not bad. His fans must definitely be sweetened by him".

Bobby revealed that his Thai maid has praised Raymond for being handsome. "One night, Raymond, Ron Ng, and Joel Chan came over to my place to drink. Joel even got drunk and threw up. My Thai maid then came over to help clean up the mess. The next day, she told my wife, 'Mum, all of Mister's friends are very handsome. The most handsome is the one who threw up'. Wah! He was throwing up, and she was able to see if he is handsome or not. She was cleaning, but she was focused on looking at guys. It was very funny! (Which one does your wife find the most handsome?) My wife has praised Joel for his sense of style in clothing, but she likes Raymond's suave personality and Ron's silly personality. I, on the other hand, have a combination of them three, so she definitely likes my type the most". With a humourous husband like Bobby, how can Mrs. Au Yeung not be like him?

Personal Note: Yes! Finally, Bobby has returned! I really missed not seeing him in '09. Super excited that he'll be filming with Tavia and Raymond! :D

Bobby mentioned like in 2005 or 2006 that he is good friends with Ron and Raymond. Bobby has never worked with them before, but he has always praised Raymond for being well-mannered, and Ron for being funny.

Fala Chen English Interview in the Netherlands

CRTV.NL: Fala Chen ( 陳法拉)

This interview was from December 2009 when Fala and Oceane Zhu were guests for the Miss China Europe Pageant 2009 in the Netherlands.

Personal Note: It is so true! I cannot stand people who do not speak proper Cantonese! Accents are a different story, but I'm the type of person who really cares about enunciation. I can't stand Cantonese lazy sounds, especially those who are HKers! How can you not speak your own language?

Yes, Fala has worked very hard in her Cantonese speech. From zero Cantonese to speaking the dialect with confidence is not an overnight thing. With only five years of Cantonese experience, Fala has not perfected Cantonese yet. She still has a little bit of 'heung yum'. Hopefully, she'll be as fluent as Carina Lau. ;)
