"Cruel Love" - Best Album of the Year

If Hins Cheung continues to work hard, he will be the next best thing after Jacky Cheung, Hacken Lee, and Eason Chan. Not only does he excel in vocal skills, but also in songwriting.

The opening track, "Cruel Love" (track 1), is a catchy mid-tempo R&B song that Hins sings with a low-pitched voice. The lyrics are well-written (Lin Xi and Riley Lam), using a speaking-method but not at all rude sounding. It is full of HK style! In the lyrics, it also uses "Love, Love, Love Love" to capture the listener's attention which makes the song very memorable.

The album is full of sad love songs. "Kid Who Chases Kites" (track 2) is well-written and well-produced. Hins shows off his fabulous vocals in the song by delivering emotional tactics rather than vocal theatrics to make it an affecting ballad. "My Sky" (track 6) is very memorable because Hins sings his heart out--very emotional!

In this album, I really enjoyed "Poem of Repentance" (track 7) which was composed by Pal Sinn. The song is a crossover between Chinese folk song and modern pop. I tend to enjoy the sounds of these kinds of songs. I also very much loved "Acting with Emotions" (track 4). For this song, Hins used an older-sounding vocal to perform the song. Through this song, you can really hear that Hins' Cantonese pronunciation has improved greatly. "The Results" (track 10) is a very upbeat, fast tempo song with very encouraging lyrics for students waiting for their final marks.

Moses' Artwork

The following is some of Moses' artwork he drew when he was studying in Australia.

My favourites are the mirror one and the faucet one. Too bad I cannot find his drawing of Flora Chan and Ada Choi that he drew when he was on "Behind the Fame". He said that Flora and Ada look the same when he closes his eyes. He also said that the person he can draw with his eyes closed is Kwong Wa.

《太極》 "Tai Chi" in HD

"The Master of Tai Chi" or "Tai Chi" was the first series filmed in HD format in early 2006. It will soon be aired on TVB's HD channel.

TVB custom-made the series for kung fu icon Vincent Zhao to star in. Originally, the series was supposed to be a modern series; however, at Vincent's request, the series was changed to be a period drama. Also, Vincent's character name was very similar to his real name, so he also requested that the character's name be changed to 'Mo Ma'.

Most of the filming process of "Tai Chi" was filmed in Mainland China like in Wen Nam, Shu Zhou, and Shanghai.

Moses Chan 'Tak Tak Dei' Hat

Everyone knew that Moses was going to win 'Best Actor' at last month's TVB Awards Presentation. So, in order to celebrate Moses' win that night, I decided to give him something that will give him memorial value. Since "Heart of Greed" was such a hit, I came up with the idea of having his 'Tak Tak Dei' cartoon imprinted on a trucker's hat.

I created the hat and had it shipped to me some time in November; however, I didn't receive the hat until the 11th of November. With that day being Remembrance Day, FedEx had to ship it out the next day. The awards night was on the 17th, so FedEx had 5 days to ship my parcel to HK. Wait, the parcel was delayed in the US for an extra day. So, I was down to 4 days!

Anyway, Moses ended up winning the awards for 'Best Actor' and 'My Favourite Male TV Character'. Yan from MC Hall later informed me that she received my parcel that Saturday afternoon. So, she was able to present Moses with my gift. She told him that the hat was from "Ivy in Canada". Apparently, when he saw the hat, he laughed very happily and said the hat was cute and adorable. Moses told Yan to say thank you to me for the great gift.

I would have been able to talk to Moses on the phone that night after the awards presentation, but since there is a 14-hour time difference, I was still at work and missed out. That would have been the third time on the phone with Moses.

Anyway, no big deal because there will be more chances in the future!

Over the years, TVB has filmed over 40 (between the years of 1984 to the present) police-related series, and some are more successful than others. However, TVB continues to produce at least 2 a year that would help to increase the healthy image of HK’s police force.

Chan Siu Sang is charming and humorous, content with life, straightforward, and easygoing. He may seem careless, but he keeps his mind calm and his thoughts are prudent and meticulous.

Ching Fung is intelligent and proficient. He is also prudent and meticulous. He has a lot of respect toward love and friendship.

Position: Organized Crime And Triad Bureau (OCTB) Senior Inspector of Police

Wong Chi Chung's personality and the way he handles every case is very similar to Cheung Tai Yung. Wong has a bad temper and his actions are very impulsive, but he is serious about his job, and he is very faithful in love.

Kong Tze San is wise and precise. He works objectively and has a rich sense of justice. He is very optimistic and is very caring towards his subordinates.
