I had asked Yan @ MC Hall to purchase two copies of Moses Chan's "My Coffee Guide" in HK because I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get it online. Yan responded right away, and she even said that she'll get Moses to sign it at the book fair. I wasn't expecting that to happen at all! I was quite surprised to hear that. Ha ha.... She then added that MC Hall will be giving a copy of the book at no charge for my contributions to MC Hall. Fans at MC Hall are super nice! Thank you! Thank you, MC Hall! He he....

Although I am not a coffee drinker, I had a coffee mug made shortly after "Coffee Confidential" aired. I just love the cartoons of Tak Tak Dei and Ah Ka! So cute!

After receiving the book in the mail, I later found out that "My Coffee Guide" is available at YesAsia. Ha ha....

Happy 'Niu' Year

On Thursday, February 5th, I received a package from MC Hall's Fun Yan. The package contained a Happy 'Niu' Year card of Moses' cartoon character of Terrance and a DVD copy of Moses' special on TVB's Classic Channel (I believe that the programme was aired right before the broadcast of "The Gem of Life"). Since Moses' "Coffee Confidental" is sponsored by Tsit Wing Group (TWG), she decided to send me some products from the company. Here, we have Lipton's instant hot milk tea, coffee candy, and TWG's instant coffee. She tells me that TWG's hot drinks are better than their instant drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I wouldn't know the difference. Ha ha....


His cartoon character is so cute! I like how MC Hall included his piercings.

All About MC

(Photo 1) These are pictures of my first and second telephone conversation with Moses and first encounter with him. Also included is the "Tak Tak Dei" trucker's hat and greetings from Moses during Christmas and New Year. Many thanks to Yan @ MC Hall for the pictures and the KOCARS calendar.

(Photo 2) Ming Pao Weekly truly does have the nicest pictures. This photo includes two scrapbooks made from various magazine cuttings, 3 MP posters, and a picture of Moses holding a lucky pocket that I gave him last Chinese New Year.

(Photo 3) This Moses section includes most of the cut outs from Ming Pao Weekly. However, this isn't all of the pictures from magazines. I left out his "Shall We Talks" and a whole bunch of TVB Weekly interviews and pictures.

Many other Moses related items have been left out. They include "Tak Tak Dei" key chain, "All About Men" autographed picture (exclusively from MC Hall), CD, HK pictures, and many more.

P.S. My favourite male artiste (HK) isn't Moses; it is actually Chi Lam.

Moses Chan 'Tak Tak Dei' Hat

Everyone knew that Moses was going to win 'Best Actor' at last month's TVB Awards Presentation. So, in order to celebrate Moses' win that night, I decided to give him something that will give him memorial value. Since "Heart of Greed" was such a hit, I came up with the idea of having his 'Tak Tak Dei' cartoon imprinted on a trucker's hat.

I created the hat and had it shipped to me some time in November; however, I didn't receive the hat until the 11th of November. With that day being Remembrance Day, FedEx had to ship it out the next day. The awards night was on the 17th, so FedEx had 5 days to ship my parcel to HK. Wait, the parcel was delayed in the US for an extra day. So, I was down to 4 days!

Anyway, Moses ended up winning the awards for 'Best Actor' and 'My Favourite Male TV Character'. Yan from MC Hall later informed me that she received my parcel that Saturday afternoon. So, she was able to present Moses with my gift. She told him that the hat was from "Ivy in Canada". Apparently, when he saw the hat, he laughed very happily and said the hat was cute and adorable. Moses told Yan to say thank you to me for the great gift.

I would have been able to talk to Moses on the phone that night after the awards presentation, but since there is a 14-hour time difference, I was still at work and missed out. That would have been the third time on the phone with Moses.

Anyway, no big deal because there will be more chances in the future!

Happy年初二!

Last week, I received a picture of Moses, an autographed card, and a calendar from Yan in HK. Today, Yan sent me a picture of Moses holding all the things she sent me through the mail. You can see my name on the card. Moses looks very cute with his lips sticking out like that.
