The finale of "A Fistful of Stances" received an average of 37 points, and a high of 43 points.

Kara Hui won 'Best Actress' at the first annual "Hong Kong Film Awards". After 28 years, Kara is named 'Best Actress' for her performance in "At the End of Daybreak". After the awards ceremony, Kara met up with friends, family, and the cast of "A Fistful of Stances" at a hot pot restaurant to celebrate her win. She was greeted with a hug from Selena Li, and cheers from all the cast members. Kara then candidly asked, "How much were the ratings?!" Angela Tong then congratulated Kara with a kiss on the lips. Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma then followed by kissing Kara on the cheek.

I like how the first thing Kara asked the cast of AFOS was how much the ratings were. Because the finale just aired, there was no way of telling how much the ratings were at that time. He he.... But, I'm happy that it did not disappoint, as the finale averaged 37 points, and peaked at 43 points. Congratulations! :D

鐵馬尋橋大結局 tomorrow at 8:30-10:30pm! Remember to watch it! This drama is so good!! When Im filming my current drama, everyone at work is talking about 鐵馬尋橋, how it’s so good and how all actors perform really well in this drama! I’m so happy that I had a chance to take part in such a great drama! The writer and the producer “Tim Gor” is brilliant!!!! And so are the directors! I remember when I was filming this drama, just reading the script was good already, but with the director’s filming techniques and editing, this is a masterpiece! I just finished watching episode 23 and I cried and applauded many times!!! Cheers to everyone who took part in 鐵馬尋橋! This is definitely one of my favorite dramas!!!! Us 鐵馬尋橋 actors will all meet up tomorrow night to watch the 大結局 on TV, hope you will join us and watch it at the same time as well!!!

Originally, Kenneth Ma was supposed to be the second male lead. Whether it is liking from the audience or acting ability, Kenneth Ma exceeds Kevin Cheng by a mile. Logically, he moved from second lead to first lead.

The ratings of "A Fistful of Stances" have been steadily increasing. TVB has arranged for the finale (two episodes) of the series to air (April 18th @ 8:30pm) after "Super Trio Game Master" to go up against the Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation, which will be airing on ATV.

The writer has been watching this series every night. The partnership of producer Lee Tim Sing and screenwriter Cheung Wah Biu didn't disappoint, as the plot is well-paced. On the contrary, as the male lead, Kevin Cheng's screen time and limelight are inferior to Kenneth's. It seems as though he had been moved from a leading role to a supporting role. Why is that so? A TVB snitch revealed that someone was always sick, and would only do three moves at most while filming fight scenes. [This person] would not be able to remember long lines of dialogue. Thus, action choreographers gave [this person] the nickname 'Three Moves'. Screenwriters gave his screen time to Kenneth Ma.

Kevin Cheng's smoothest fight scenes were with Yuen Chau and Ram Chiang.

It was rumoured that Kevin Cheng obtained his leading role from complaining to executives, but what about it? He can't fight, he can't speak, and he is greatly criticized by netizens.

Even though there weren't many people present (Ma Ming and Selena were filming "Can't Buy Me Love", Dominic is in Canada, Jacky Heung and others were also not present), Angel had a great time.

You must watch for Kara's acting! That scene was absolutely phenomenal!
Also, my most favourite couple: Older Sister (Selena Li) and Tong Gor Jai (Kenneth Ma). Ha ha....
When I was reading the script, I had already imagined how that scene was going to be filmed. :D

So happy!!!!! The story will get better and better! At the end, my whole family including my father, mom, and brother will have sad endings, especially my mom, I feel so sad for her! I remember there is a scene when my whole family cried because it was so sad, and my mom and dad’s acting was amazing in that scene! Remember to watch out for it!!!!! I also heard a lot of people like my relationship with Kenneth Ma in this drama and want to know if we will be together…hmmm…..You will see in the last episode! hehe….
Also, my current drama will be done filming soon and I will be busy starting up my make up school “TECHNIQUE” ! The grand opening will be April 29th! So exciting and nervous at the same time! The picture I posted is a make up done by my make up artist and she will also be teaching at my school! Isn’t it great! I love her make up!!!!!

Personal Note: So happy that the ratings are going up! :D The series is finally getting more noise! TVB and the media are heavily promoting the series! :D

Kenneth: "I came back from Conghua this morning, and walked through the rain, so it triggered my asthma. It is so annoying!"

Selena: "I'll see you first!"

Hospital Office Scene

Selena: "Button up or you'll get cold".

Kenneth: "Wow, you're really different today. Even pigs know how to 'lead the horse back to the stable'".

Selena: "What are you talking about?"

Kenneth: "You're the one who said I'm supposed to follow the rules in the hospital. I cannot call the doctor 'Ah Mui', and that I cannot bud in line".

Selena: "Okay, I'll tell it to you again. You are now allowed to bud in line. It doesn't matter how many patients are outside. I will see you first".

Kenneth: "Is it possible that you've fallen in love with Gor Jai me?"

Selena: "I am only giving you special privilege because of patients in Conghua".

Nurse (Annie Chung): "Dr. Wing, Dr. Lam said that he will make it back on time tonight, so you do not have to work his shift".

Selena: "Okay, thanks. It seems as though it will take a while for you to cool your temperament. Since I do not have to work, why don't I give you bike ride back to the marital arts club?"

Kenneth: "That's more like it with all those privileges".

Bicycle Scene

Selena: "Tong Gor Jai, you've borrowed many raw material for medicine from others lately. Will the money you've borrowed be enough to pay your debts?"

Kenneth: "Well, that's all thanks to you, Miss Wing, because when I was a normal person back then, I wouldn't do stupid things like this. After knowing you, you've taught me things such as 'others help me, and I help others'...now it's retribution!"

Selena: "How much money do you actually owe?"

Kenneth: "One day, you will read the newspaper, and when you read that the body of a young asthmatic man with the last name of Ku has been discovered under the bridge of Zhujiang River, you will know that it's me".

Selena: "Is it really that serious?"

Kenneth: (Sighs) "A rich girl like you who is born with a silver spoon in your mouth will not understand the pain of owing other money".

Personal Note: Love how Selena keeps calling Ma Ming 棠哥仔! It's super cute! Absolutely loved Ma Ming's reaction when Selena told him to button up.

I found it super cute how Ma Ming brushed his bangs to the side when he asked Selena if she has fallen for him, and then Selena brushed her bangs to the side giving him a response. So adorable! :D

Selena was peddling pretty fast when giving Ma Ming ride. ;) He he.... Love Ma Ming and Selena!!!! :D

Ming Pao TV Review: "A Fistful of Stances" Most Inexplicable

There had been two days in which the ratings were at 23 points, but the ratings have risen to 27 points recently. Last week's (March 22 - March 26) average rating was at 27 points, but it is still a far way to ideal ratings.

It is from the creative crew of "Rosy Business"; however, the storyline does not revolve around life, death, and friendship. Rather, "A Fistful of Stances" is about a warm family being harmed by evil people. How are they going to fight back? How are they going to be persecuted?

The good and evil are clearly defined in "A Fistful of Stances". The plot is thick, it is worth chasing, and it is worth watching. But, how come the audience isn't watching? 'Fighting' actually chases viewers away.

Pre-modern fighting is not Jin Yong martial arts fighting. The female audience may not like to watch it. Real kung fu is worse, just like the time when Yuen Biu came to TVB to film "Real Kung Fu". The series suffered a big loss in ratings. From what we can see, even if Yuen Chau has more fight scenes, it may not add interest for the audience.

Kevin Cheng's attraction cannot be compared to Chai Gau and Fourth Wife, especially when it comes to selling his acting ability. He does not specialize in capturing the audience's attention. Actually, his acting has shown improvement, but Cheng Siu Sang still belongs to an 'idol' level. To make a transformation in an instant, is it really that easy? On the other hand, Kenneth Ma has gained greater praise. However, to only rely on Dominic Lam as a character actor is quite weak. The one who has stood out is third-line actor Eric Li. His bald look is quite terrifying.

The plot is thickening. Along with fighting scenes, there is sadness and resentment. The feedback from the online community has been spreading, making it become more and more popular. [I] believe that the ratings will become better and better. When the series is near its ending, will it overcome the ratings drought and break 30 points?

Personal Note: The fighting in here is good enough. They do not fight for the sake of fighting, as it must also go with the storyline. I really hope the ratings will go up.

Personal Note: Wow! Another trailer came out, and the series has been aired for three weeks now. TVB is finally promoting the series! :D Yay!

Ma Ming's character is extremely well-written in here! His personality and his dialogue are great! In episode 11, I liked Ma Ming's arrogance, and the fact that he was clever and courageous. He showed his leadership abilities, and he can remain rational under extreme circumstances. :D Ma Ming's crying scene in episode 13 was very touching! :) Natalie Tong did well in her scenes, and she was also able to reach the audience with her performance. :) However, her later scenes should only revolve around her love triangle with Kevin Cheng and Nancy Wu. Nancy will not appear until the 16th episode.

Encounters Troublesome Guy Two of a Kind When Filming Series: Kenneth Ma Teases Kevin Cheng as Pose King

Two big men, Kenneth Ma and Kevin Cheng, discovered that they are two of a kind after filming "A Fistful of Stances" together, and they are now like brothers.

In TVB's "A Fistful of Stances", Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma play brothers. In reality, Kenneth said that, before working with Kevin, he thought Kevin was only capable of posing, and many friends had informed him that Kevin is troublesome. However, after spending time together and understanding one another, they unexpectedly became friends.

Kevin and Kenneth were in Olympian City accepting this interview the previous day during the promotional event of "A Fistful of Stances". Once the two big men sat down, they talked non-stop. Before working together, there were many friends who informed Kenneth that Kevin is very troublesome [to work with].

Kenneth laughed, "To be honest, before working with him (Kevin Cheng), watching him act is as though he was posing and acting [at the same time]. Later, many people knew that I was going to work with Kevin, so they told me to be careful, as they said that filming with Kevin is very troublesome. Their definition of troublesome is not the hateful, yelling at others troublesome, yet they were referring to him being hard to get along with. It wasn't until we worked together...instead, we got acquainted very quickly, and we were on the same channels. Maybe it is because we are two of the same kind".

Kevin and Kenneth play brothers in the series, and they are both standing up to the enemy's persecution.

Other people say that Kevin is troublesome, but he explains that he has high standards along with a little temperament of an artist.

After listening to Kenneth's words, Kevin couldn't hold in his laugh and said, "Was it really that serious? However, I believe that the area where we are the most compatible is that we are both stubborn people, no matter if it is in our acting or in our personality. We both have temperaments of an artist. There were many scenes where Kenneth did very well in. He already has every aspect, and you can say that he is at the stage where he is 'building construction'. All that is missing is that opportunity, and a good character. Everybody in this series filmed very happily, and there weren't any rumours".

Kenneth adds, "Back then, when filming with a bunch of colleagues, no matter how friends they were during filming, but after the filming has finished and they see one another later, they would only say a few words and then leave. They might not even say anything at all if they are not friends. This time, the cast will occasionally meet and eat together, watch movies, and care for one another".

Although they have worked happily this time, the ratings for the series have been so-so since since it started airing. They said, "Maybe because it is only the beginning, and watching TV series is not very popular recently. But, we would like the audience to give it a chance and watch it. You will have to watch it in order to know if it is good or not".

Personal Note: Even though the ratings of "A Fistful of Stances" are not high, the series is receiving a lot of positive feedback. I am confident that the ratings will go up. The cast is doing a good job. Well, Jacky Heung is a little green, not natural, and has a raspy voice, but at least he looks evil. ;)

Shirley Weibo-ed and said that the cast accepted an interview on "Scoop", and it will air tomorrow night for two nights. I'm guessing that TVB is finally pushing to promote the series. Awesome!
