Wang Lee Hom "Firewood, Rice, Oil, Salt, Sauce, Vinegar, Tea" MV
"Chasing our dreams often means making sacrifices, especially when it comes to showing our loved ones how much we care. This song is to remind all those who dream big that sometimes the biggest dream of all is simply having someone who can be there with you through all the good times and the bad - someone with whom you can be happy just sharing a home-cooked meal". - Wang Lee Hom
Repeat *
Wang Lee Hom returns to the music scene with his new album 《十八般武藝》. His first plug is "Firewood, Rice, Oil, Salt, Sauce, Vinegar, Tea" (Basic Kitchen Necessities), such seasonings that we cannot do without in life or in cooking. Lee Hom used a simple, warm melody from a guitar and the arrangement of an erhu. The outcome is simple and soothing, yet it is full of meaning.
Happiness can be simple, as happiness is not goal. It cannot be compared, and it cannot be traded in for. It is a feeling that each and every one of us experiences in life. Happiness can be found daily in our basic kitchen necessities, and it is waiting for us to carefully taste it.
