"Moonlight Resonance" Ending Peaks at 50 Points
Wow! The final episode of "Moonlight" averaged 47 points, and peaked at 50 points (approximately 3,140,000 viewers). However, whether it is the overall average for the entire series (35 points) or the peak ratings, "Moonlight" still does not beat "Dae Jang Geum" (Jewel in the Palace), which aired in 2005. At the time, "Dae Jang Geum" had a peak of 50.2 points (3,290,000 viewers).
The final episode of "Moonlight" revolved too much on Goon Ka Jai and Ah Chau. They should have focused more on Ah Ka and Ah Yuet. The writer originally had Ah Ka die at in the series, but instead Ah Ka was pretending to die on Ah Yuet's shoulder. Ah Yuet thought that he had died and started to cry, but found out that Ah Ka was joking. Then it shows that four years has passed, and explained that Ah Ka's heart condition was past the dangerous period and would never have a relapse. The ending was a happy ending. Everyone ended up with whomever they were supposed to end up with: Goon Ka Jai with Ah Chau, Hor Ma with Jo Ba, and Ah Ka and Ah Yuet. Hung Yi was released from prison and left Hong Kong. Ah Ka and Ah Yuet married and had a kid, and Ah Yuet was pregnant again. The whole series ended with everybody singing Teresa Tang's "The Moon Represents My Heart".
Personal Note: Ha ha, Tavia is always pregnant is series. Out of ten series, she is at least pregnant in eight of them.
What happened to Ah Hing's four-year-old daughter?
