To celebrate its 56th anniversary, TVB held "TVB Anniversary Gala" at TVB City tonight, and gathered over 200 artistes to perform to celebrate the big day with viewers. Mandy Wong, who is rumoured to be leaving the [company], and TV king Kenneth Ma, walked the red carpet together. Mandy suddenly announced her marriage to her boyfriend, Anthony, from outside of the industry of more than ten years at the beginning of the month. In an interview with this website, Mandy expressed, "Actually, I am relatively low-key when dealing with my love life. Have actually always had marriage plans; due to the pandemic, they had been postponed until now. The announcement was also an extremely casual decision". Kenneth, who is holding a wedding at the end of the year, also expressed, "Rushing some scenes now and accommodating the promotions of 'The QUEEN of News', but have also taken a period of time off".
Mandy expressed that she will not be holding a wedding ceremony in Hong Kong because [they] have already registered [their marriage] abroad, completing the formalities. The families have already had dinner, and friends are slowly making dinner plans. Kenneth agreed, "The most important thing about a wedding is what the girl wants to do. The guy actually rarely has a vision for the wedding. The most important thing is finding the right person". He also revealed that Roxanne Tong came up with many of the wedding details, and he could only see if there's anything he could help with.
Earlier, at a promotional event for "QUEEN", Kenneth was forced by Charmaine Sheh to admit that it is a marriage due to an unplanned pregnancy. Kenneth expressed that it was just a joke, but admitted that there are such plans. Regarding baby plans, Mandy expressed that she is leaving it to the heavens and letting nature take its course, and emphasized, "Want to focus on work because I also have a lot of things that I want to try".
Regarding whether there are hopes to win TV queen, Mandy expressed that awards are always a recognition for her acting skills and a goal, but also looking forward to good works and challenged. Kenneth expressed, "In my heart, you have been a TV queen early on".
The 'Girls Night' world tour will officially be launching in LA and SF soon. Mandy expressed that she has already been practicing dancing earnestly and keeping fit, hoping to be in the best condition for the performance.
