Artistes Kenneth Ma, Sisley Choi, Samantha Ko, and Tony Hung attended a press conference for the global recruitment campaign for the theme song of TVB's new series, "The Airport Diary", today. Kenneth, who is about to marry Roxanne Tong, was asked if he would consider singing on stage on the wedding day. He said, "Have to wait and see. Really don't know yet. (Roxanne said that she wants to see you dance?) I know about this. A bit scared because I don't know how to dance. Anyone who has seen me dance should know where my dancing skills can go. Perhaps it's because we don't have the playing games with the groom segment, so she probably wants me to make a fool of myself by dancing. (Scared of singing or dancing more?) Of course, it's dancing! (Who will be you groomsmen then?) Not revealing this yet, but there are people within and outside of the industry". He expressed that the wedding will be held in a simple way as much as possible and is not revealing too much for the time being.
In addition, Kenneth also laughingly said that he would not recommend himself to sing the theme song: "I only sing when I get paid to do stage performances. I never care about how I sing. It's okay as long as I can make money; thus, I really like going to Mainland to sing. I always hear singers say that the audience below the stage does not listen to me sing, but I think that it's even better that they don't listen. I casually sing and then leave".
Sisley said that she really likes to sing but is not a professional and also does not have extensive stage experience...need to accumulate it. The two also believe that this global recruitment campaign for the theme song is a great platform to allow young people or unknown musicians to display their talents.
Kenneth Ma Reveals That the Groomsmen Are Friends from Within and Outside of the Industry, No Time for a Honeymoon After the Wedding: "Have to Get Back to Work Immediately"
The series "Airport", starring Kenneth, Samantha, Sisley, Tony, et al., launched a promotion for the global recruitment campaign for its theme song today. When interviewed by hk01, Kenneth prefers the theme song having elements of positive energy with a sunny flavour, which would be more in line with the series' objective of unity.
When asked in an interview about what elements he thought the series' theme song should have, Kenneth said, "I think that the feeling of the theme song should be more energetic because the series has a lot of positive energy, talking about a group of heroes behind the scenes working together to maintain the entire airport. (Are you scared that the series will be compared to 'Triumph in the Skies'?) I don't think it will because 'Triumph' talked about pilots and flight attendants, while we are talking about all the employees inside the airport, different departments handling the daily matters at the airport". Emphasizing that the themes of the two series are different.
In the series, Kenneth plays the manager of the central control room. He, who entered the central control centre for the first time, felt that it was extremely shocking: "That position is even more powerful than the pilot position. The [monitor] is almost as big as four theatre screens...very shocking. Basically, you sit there and are able to see the entire airport from the [monitor]. (Whom do you have the most scenes with?) Sisley. (Are there a lot of emotional scenes?) Would not. The emotional scenes are also all light". Also revealing that the series may wrap up this month.
In addition, mentioning his upcoming wedding at the end of the year, his fiancée, Roxanne, held a bachelorette party with a group of good [friends] in South Korea earlier. Asked if he will find his good brothers to hold a party to say farewell to singlehood, he said, "No! I really have to film the series. (Already have your best man list?) Roughly have one, but cannot say it yet. (Outside or within the industry?) It's a bit of both. (Is it tough to prepare a wedding in Southeast Asia?) Also would not because we don't have many people (taking part). Mainly the two families and some friends from within and outside the industry. (Staying for a honeymoon after the wedding?) Actually, also have to get back to work immediately because my promotions for 'The QUEEN of News', which is releasing soon, are actually very tight". He said that he has to find a suitable time for a honeymoon next year because Roxanne wants to see the northern lights; thus, if there's the chance, would go to Europe.
