Charmaine Sheh Pays Attention to Online Reviews, Confident in the Ratings: "Have Already Done Our Best"
Charmaine Sheh, Hera Chan, Venus Wong, Kenneth Ma, et al. attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition for TVB's anniversary series, "The QUEEN of News 2", at Hung Hom today. During the event, Charmaine, Hera, and Venus each brought stills from the series and shared unforgettable scenes from the series. Charmaine joked that Bosco Wong treated her too poorly in the series, so he did not dare to come. She chose a still from the first episode where she was holding a camera on a helicopter, explaining that it represented her strong comeback. "Originally, the filming only asked to open the window; however, because it had to be done to the extreme, I requested opening the door during the flight when filming. Already had a seatbelt on, so it was very safe".
Charmaine said that she believes that the viewers who supported "The QUEEN of News" will also continue to support the new installment. In addition to the original cast, new characters, including Bosco Wong and Patricia Ha, have joined; the plot will be even more exciting.
Already airing in Mainland and generating a lot of buzz online, she said that she saw praise and criticism in the comments, with some viewers feeling that 「Man姐」 is not as strong as in the previous installment. As for whether there was confidence in the ratings when airing in Hong Kong, she said, "Must have confidence, but whether the results are good or not depends on everyone. Kenneth, whose characters died in the first episode of two consecutive series, laughingly said, "Dying in the first episode of 'The Queen of Castle" was not classic enough. Dying in the first scene of 'QUEEN' was truly legendary. Everyone has to continue watching. It's not so simple as just dying".
Kenneth prefers his character in the second installment than in the first because every storyline that [he] appeared in in the new installment had something to do. As for the memorial portrait being circulated, he said, "It's just the character's memorial portrait; I don't mind. Life isn't about the length; it's about whether it's exciting. I have also died many times in series before. In the series where Benz Hui played my father, I also had to die. Everyone does not have to be surprised. However, dying means fewer episodes. Have to carry two series now...have to catch up on the episodes".
In addition, Gabriel Harrison, whom he had previously worked with, is crowdfunding online for his wife's surgical fees. He said, "I also just found out. Don't know how [I] can help yet. He's also very happy when filming series...would sometimes even sing. Hope that his wife will be all right".

Samantha Ko Cries Upon Thinking About Benz Hui, Kenneth Ma Retains Title as 'Series King'

Artistes Samantha Ko and Kenneth Ma made a grand appearance at TVB's Sales Presentation this afternoon. Samantha stole the spotlight in a black backless evening gown. She stars in four series, including "The Airport Diary II", "Martial Arts World", "The Game of the Married", and "The Radiant City", while Kenneth is responsible for starring in "Airport", "Game", and "Wars of the Roses". The two collaborated in two of these series, which explains why Samantha joked, "Feel very safe following Kenneth all day today. The company should add an onscreen couple or golden combination award. Then we'd have a chance to win".
Despite their busy work schedules, both expressed being quite happy. Samantha is grateful to the company and the producers for the opportunities, while Kenneth admitted that, because there are fewer opportunities to film series than before, [he] particularly cherishes it. Currently working on two series, [he] has to travel back and forth between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and while [he] looks tired, [he] also does not find it a problem. As for the other series, "Radiant", filming had been halted for a period of time due to script issues. Samantha revealed, "Received all of the scripts. The schedule has already been arranged. Should be commencing work in early November. (Can what was previously shot still be used?) Well, it depends on the arrangement of the producer and director. The plot is the same, so it should be usable. My character has fewer changes, while others have more changes, but the plot is even more captivating. (Can it make it in time to release this year?) It should be next year. We are shooting until next January. Can have time off during the Lunar New Year".
Talking about the deceased senior Benz Hui, Samantha immediately broke down emotionally with tears rolling down and was almost unable to speak. [Her] voice was shaking as [she] responded, "Went to see him yesterday. It was sudden. Very grateful to have met him in this life. I always play his daughter, so I also call him 'Dad' in private...." Then [she] choked up. Kenneth took over, "Remember when I just came out...acting was immature and got scolded by Benz. He asked me, 'Isn't it better for me to scold you now than to be scolded by viewers the next day?' Thus, I always tell people in interviews that he is actually my idol. I want to learn his acting and to not socialize so much, and focus on doing a good job as an actor. It's really a pity that such a good senior has left".

"The Queen of Castle" Promotional Event 4

Jessica Hsuan, Alice Chan, Ruco Chan, Moon Lau, Kent Tong, Angel Chiang, Celina Harto, and Mason Fung appeared at a shopping mall to attend a promotional event for "The Queen of Castle". "Stars Academy"'s Windy Zhan appeared to perform the series' [theme] song, 《序章．結局》. Kenneth Ma made a surprise appearance at the end and unveiled the good result of exceeding 200 million clicks on a Mainland streaming platform. Producer Chung Shu Kai went on the stage with crutches, revealing a foot injury. Kenneth returned to Hong Kong from Shanghai today to attend the promotional event. Initially, he was also worried that a flight delay would cause [him] to not be able to make it. Now, [he] is filming "Wars of the Roses" and "The Airport Diary II" at the same time. Also wanted to come promote previously but was unable to do so.
Jessica expressed on stage that she thinks that Ruco could win TV king again with this series. Ruco laughingly said that, because Kenneth died in a plane crash in the first episode, someone with the least screen time may also have a chance to be nominated for TV king. Is he confident in winning the TV king award again? He expressed that he would not, admitting that he had not performed his best. Fortunately, other actors were able to complement one another. [He] feels that viewers really like watching series with a big cast. He also really likes the star-studded "Triumph in the Skies" back then, hoping that viewers watch many series again; then [he] would be happy. Ruco revealed that he has been eating irregularly recently. His wife, Phoebe Sin, took him to Shenzhen to try out a mugwort and ginger treatment, becoming a 'human BBQ'. He expressed that it was his first time trying it; it helps to dispel cold, improve blood circulation, and improve digestion.
Moon expressed that they took care of her during filming. They expressed that they see each other day and night when filming series, seeing [them] more than their family. They are colleagues and friends...would remind and guide [them]. Ruco and Phoebe celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary this year and shot a set of commemorative pictures. Kenneth expressed that it is his second wedding anniversary soon; there are plans to go on a trip because his wife, Roxanne Tong, likes to travel. [He] promised his wife that, after [he] finishes his two series, [he] will accompany her on a trip, pointing out that his wife was only playfully complaining previously and is actually genuinely happy for him to have work.
In addition, regarding Nancy Wu's marriage, Ruco expressed that he is very happy for her and felt very surprised, and thought that the wedding pictures were very beautiful. The world of two is also very romantic...would give her [his] blessing.

Jessica Hsuan, Alice Chan, Ruco Chan, Moon Lau, Kent Tong, Angel Chiang, Celina Harto, and Mason Fung appeared at a shopping mall to attend a promotional event for "The Queen of Castle". "Stars Academy"'s Windy Zhan appeared to perform the series' [theme] song, 《序章．結局》. Kenneth Ma made a surprise appearance at the end and unveiled the good result of exceeding 200 million clicks on a Mainland streaming platform. Producer Chung Shu Kai went on the stage with crutches, revealing a foot injury. Kenneth returned to Hong Kong from Shanghai today to attend the promotional event. Initially, he was also worried that a flight delay would cause [him] to not be able to make it. Now, [he] is filming "Wars of the Roses" and "The Airport Diary II" at the same time. Also wanted to come promote previously but was unable to do so.
Jessica expressed on stage that she thinks that Ruco could win TV king again with this series. Ruco laughingly said that, because Kenneth died in a plane crash in the first episode, someone with the least screen time may also have a chance to be nominated for TV king. Is he confident in winning the TV king award again? He expressed that he would not, admitting that he had not performed his best. Fortunately, other actors were able to complement one another. [He] feels that viewers really like watching series with a big cast. He also really likes the star-studded "Triumph in the Skies" back then, hoping that viewers watch many series again; then [he] would be happy. Ruco revealed that he has been eating irregularly recently. His wife, Phoebe Sin, took him to Shenzhen to try out a mugwort and ginger treatment, becoming a 'human BBQ'. He expressed that it was his first time trying it; it helps to dispel cold, improve blood circulation, and improve digestion.
Moon expressed that they took care of her during filming. They expressed that they see each other day and night when filming series, seeing [them] more than their family. They are colleagues and friends...would remind and guide [them]. Ruco and Phoebe celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary this year and shot a set of commemorative pictures. Kenneth expressed that it is his second wedding anniversary soon; there are plans to go on a trip because his wife, Roxanne Tong, likes to travel. [He] promised his wife that, after [he] finishes his two series, [he] will accompany her on a trip, pointing out that his wife was only playfully complaining previously and is actually genuinely happy for him to have work.
In addition, regarding Nancy Wu's marriage, Ruco expressed that he is very happy for her and felt very surprised, and thought that the wedding pictures were very beautiful. The world of two is also very romantic...would give her [his] blessing.

Raymond Lam Shoots MTR Commercial with Linda Chung

Raymond Lam shot MTR's new set of new railway commercials, 《尋．未來記》, as 「寡人」. This time, for the first time in 24 years, Raymond is appearing on screen as the domineering 「寡人」, travelling alongside major MTR projects through the present and future.
Apart from "A Step into the Past"'s 「寡人」, his classic "Heart of Greed" CP partner, Linda Chung, [also] appeared as the classic character 「常在心」, pushing a stroller and calling for 「管家佬」, and continued the legendary counting-the-days plotline, "300 Days Since Having My Son, Sunny" as its opening line, creating a crossover between the classic characters from the two installments of "Heart", giving series fans the ultimate finale for this classic couple in a parallel universe, rekindling everyone's love for this CP.
Raymond expressed that, playing 「寡人」 travelling through time, he relived old memories of riding the MTR to go to school. He laughingly said that he is no stranger to Kwu Tung because this place is a famous spot for ancient filming...never imagined that a Kwu Tung Station would appear in the future. Raymond laughingly said, "Okay if filming modern, but [if] filming ancient, it doesn't make sense to wear a headpiece to ride the transit. It's also not impossible, but it would be a little strange!"
Raymond also said, "When I was filming 'Heart' back then, originally thought that it would just be a cameo, and [I] had never played a role where I was just responsible for dating. Back then, was working with Linda every day. Little did [I] know, as filming progressed, the scenes kept piling up, but was also very happy to be able to create a character that viewers would remember!"
Linda has not filmed a series with Raymond in a while; old memories flooded back after seeing 「管家佬」's classic plaid shirt: "At that time, for us, the 'Heart' installments really helped us a lot in our careers. Now, 20 years later, also still able to come back together to shoot a commercial that seems like a sequel. Also feels very wonderful!"
Linda expressed that she usually rides the MTR. If [she] is wearing makeup, [she] would show herself graciously, but would have [her] head down if [she] is bare-faced: "I also usually take my kids on the MTR; this a distinguishing feature of Hong Kong! - The series uses the development of Hong Kong International Airport as its background. The plot revolves around the daily happenings within and outside of the restricted areas, showcasing the diverse nature of the airport through the daily lives of professionals in various roles. The series will not only film at more secret locations within the airport that are not publicly accessible, but will also talk about the connection and operations between Hong Kong Airport and the Greater Bay Area; thus, there will also be filming in Shenzhen and Zhuhai.
- This time, the focus is on a group of young employees who have just arrived at the airport or have been working for a few years. The story will talk about their daily work, the problems that they encounter, and how their superiors, like Kenneth Ma, guide them. At the same time, the young people also have their own ideas, influencing the perspectives of their seniors. The two influence each other, bringing professionalism to their work.
- The series is about how a group of people at the Airport Authority deals with crises to make the airport operate smoothly. In this installment, the emotional storylines are not really the focus, as it mainly talks about the things that are encountered at work.
- Kenneth has been promoted to being the general manager of the airport terminal and customer experience; it is a very high position. Chow Ka Lok is his apprentice. The plot will explain the whereabouts of Sisley Choi's character. Sisley will often get mentioned; she is still there, and they still have a connection.
- Samantha Ko continues to be an airport passenger services manager who is still using a professional and attentive attitude to provide the best quality service. As it was before, she has a subtle and heartwarming romantic storyline with Tony Hung. She and Tony become separated by distance, as she gets transferred to the Greater Bay Area, putting their relationship to the test.
- Tiffany Lau is no longer a flight attendant; she has to changed to being the manager of Harbour Airline at the airport. There is a scene where she has to handle inquiries from passengers of different nationalities, responding in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Korean at the same time.
- Chow Ka Lok will play Ching Yat Fei (程日飛), a management trainee (MT). He is Kenneth's apprentice. He will pursue Tiffany. He and Kenneth fight over Tiffany.
- Brian Chu goes to teach at the Aviation Academy. Rosita Kwok is his subordinate.
- Rosita has changed to a cadet pilot who follows Brian. She will film in a simulation cockpit. She has a subtle romantic storyline with Ricco Ng.
- Ricco officially works on the airport apron.
- Joey Thye has been promoted to being a ground crew manager. Michelle Tsang is her superior.
- Tony continues to be the head security officer of airport security, maintaining airport safety.
- Yumi Chung will play Yip Shu Yan (葉舒恩), an MT in customer service. Samantha is her superior. As a trainee, she has to train at different departments; apart from customer service, she also goes to the airport apron to train.
- Aska Cheung will play Che Sing Hin (車成軒). At first, he is an aviation security officer who follows Tony. Later, he goes to the Contingency Response Unit (CRU). He is a former boy band member. He has a crush on Joey.
- Ellyn Ngai will play Jessica, a ground crew. Tiffany is her superior.
- Krysella will guest-star as a passenger.

Kenneth Ma Congratulates Nancy Wu on Her Marriage

TV queen Nancy Wu announced good news on Mid-Autumn Festival today, announcing out of the blue that she had gotten married to her doctor boyfriend, Akin Chan, on October 3rd. Kenneth Ma, who previously dated Nancy, was recording the TVB anniversary special programme "Game of Scholars" today. Regarding his ex finding true love and getting married, Kenneth expressed previously not knowing about it all and had only known about it after she had announced it; it was extremely secretive. "Actually, I was previously working with her good sister, Elaine Yiu, in Shenzhen, and she also did not mention it at all. I'm thinking that Elaine already knew about it earlier on but was great at keeping it a secret".
He said, "Really very happy! Congratuations to them on growing old together, loving one another, and being in good health. It's very important that both husband and wife are in good health. Everyone is also quite happy to receive this surprise during the Mid-Autumn Festival...reuniting under the full moon!" When asked if he, as a married man, has any tips for getting along as a married couple that he could share with Nancy, he laughingly said that he does not know how to teach others, but the two must have gotten married because there are no problems getting along with another. He expressed that he has not seen the groom in person. Has only seen [him] in pictures, highly praising the two for already being well-matched just from looking at the pictures. Will personally be sending a text message to congratulate Nancy. He is currently busy working on the new series "Wars of the Roses" and "The Airport Diary II". Kenneth is apologetic for not having time to spend with his wife for the time being: "However, I am planning on finishing the things at hand, and then we can go on a trip and spend more time with her".
Kenneth expressed that he has to wear a school uniform for the programme "Game". He made fun of himself, saying that he was a bit scared, having not worn a school uniform for nearly 40 years, bringing to mind his school days when he was preoccupied with playing soccer. Was he popular with his female classmates? He said that he attended a boys' school. Regarding the programme testing elementary and high school subjects, Kenneth laughingly said, "Scared. There are even kindergarten questions. Think that [I] definitely would not know the answers; thus, I am playing a bad student...not studying for the test".
Kenneth said that his academic results were in the middle in school...just passing. [If] he does not know anything, how would he teach his children if he were to become a father in the future? He immediately said, "Relying on my wife or hiring a tutor. My wife should also be okay. I would be in the sports department, but there is no good news yet. [If] there is, would announce it. Would not deceive everyone".

Kenneth Ma Receives Complaints About Carrying Two Series, Flying with His Wife to Cajole Her; Chow Ka Lok Distracted by Looking at Flight Attendants When Pursuing Tiffany Lau

Artistes Kenneth Ma, Tiffany Lau, Chow Ka Lok, Ellyn Ngai, Krysella Wong, Yumi Chung, et al. have been doing location filming at the airport for the new TVB series "The Airport Diary II", attracting many residents and tourists to watch. Kenneth, who played a member of management in the previous installment, has been promoted to an even higher level this time; the newly joined Chow Ka Lok is playing his apprentice. The scene was about Tiffany being pursued by Chow Ka Lok, becoming increasingly frustrated and seeking help from her ex, Kenneth, grabbing him by the collar in a fit of rage!
When asked how she would handle being pursued in real life, Tiffany laughingly said that she has never experienced it before, so she did not know the answer, and jokingly said that the most difficult to handle was not Chow Ka Lok but the sheer amount of professional dialogue, revealing that she often fumbled her words and NG-ed. Her partner, Kenneth, quickly spoke in her favour, expressing that even he, who is used to speaking Chinese, was challenged, let alone the 'Western girl' Tiffany: "There was some English dialogue before, and she said it so smoothly!" Speaking about his busy work schedule and not having time to spend with his wife, he revealed that he would finish filming both series by December...would then take his wife on a trip to make up for it.
Chow Ka Lok feels excited about joining 'Airport', expressing that he greatly looks forward to going to places that are normally difficult to enter, such as visiting and filming in restricted areas and the airport control room. When asked if he loves airplanes like many guys, he laughingly said, "Actually, I am not that interested. (What about flight attendants?) More fascinated by them...ha ha! He revealed that he will be pursuing Tiffany in the series. Mentioning that Kenneth had a romantic storyline with her in the previous installment, as the apprentice, wouldn't his pursuit this time trigger a master and apprentice showdown? [Chow] Ka Lok laughingly said that the goddess is indeed difficult to pursue, but has to keep it a secret for the time being and does not want to spoil the story.

As for another scene, which was about Krysella, who plays a passenger placing her overweight luggage on the conveyor belt for weighing with the help of airport employee Yumi, in the end, she was informed by Ellyn, who plays a ground crew, that a surcharge would be charged. The frugal Krysella came up with wearing all the clothes in the luggage, instantly becoming super bloated; the scene was hilarious! In an interview, Krysella laughingly said that, although it was a cameo, she extremly enjoyed this scene. She said, "It's the most dressed-up character that I have ever had since my debut, and it's also the most 'kam' character...ha ha! Thank you, Producer Andy". She laughingly said that she wore at least ten pieces of clothing and four pairs of socks; the costume tryout alone took two hours.

Samantha Ko Recharges After European Vacation, Partners Kenneth Ma at the Airport to Work

Artistes Samantha Ko, Kenneth Ma, Tony Hung, Tsui Wing, et al. recently appeared at the airport to film the new series "The Airport Diary II". Samantha, who has recharged after a long vacation, was in high spirits, constantly giving hearts and acting cute while working. The three guys had their arms around each other; the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Samantha, who has returned to work, is very happy to work with her old partners, frankly saying that she is more motivated after her vacation: "Took a long vacation, but had also actually kept doing things during the vacation, but it was a work-life balance. Working hard to make money is for having fun. Previously going to Australia to learn how to snowboard was a very happy thing". Kenneth is currently filming this series and "Wars of the Roses" at the same time, having to travel between Mainland and Hong Kong.
