- The series covers ten-plus cases with different causes of death, tracing the cause of death from the perspective of forensic medicine.
- The series focuses on the work of forensic pathologists, and it will also talk about the work of the police and the media; the three will use their expertise to investigate the truth.
- Hera Chan will play Ching Chi Yan (程芷昕), a rookie forensic pathologist with obsessive-compulsive disorder. She is rather clean.
- Mark Ma will play Ko Chun (高俊), a high-ranked cop of the Major Crimes Unit. He is clever and is well-versed in literary and martial skills, but he has never been able to get a promotion beause he is rather unlucky; every time he is about to solve a case, it gets snatched by another team. He and Hera are a bickering pair; they are always quarrelling in the first 15 episodes. Hera thinks that she is helping him, but sometimes it makes it hard for him to endure, having to use a lot of energy to turn things around. He has a girlfriend (played by Fei Wong), is very faithful, and would do his best to satisfy her thoughts; however, some things happen between him and Hera, which slightly changes their relationship.
- Jinny Ng will play a fashion reporter who later gets laid off by the company, so she is forced to change jobs, becoming a Hong Kong news reporter and going to the forefront to cover the news. She does not know much about Hong Kong news reporters. Her character is responsible for causing trouble and is more lighthearted. In one of the cases, she will be involved in a supernatural incident. She will have a romantic storyline with Nicholas Yuen.
- Wai Ka Hung will play Lam Sam (林琛) an elite in the forensic medicine department. He and Wong Yi Kam are a married couple, but they always argue, so they end up getting divorced.
- Nicholas will play Chim Pak Yu (詹柏宇), a photojournalist. At first, he and Jinny keep arguing; however, slowly, there are changes. He and Jinny have a different perspective on the news: he wants to attract more viewers to pay attention to the news, while Jinny wants to objectively present the news.
- Wong Yi Kam will play Han (嫻).
- Rachel Lam will play Fong Man Kei (方文琪). She and Hera are close colleagues.
- Gary Chan will play a cop.
- Kevin Tong will play an elite in the forensic medicine department.
- Fei will play Si Mei Ning (施美寧), a yoga instructor. She is Mark's girlfriend, but their relationship will face a great challenge, as his work will affect their relationship.
- Jan Tse will play the chief editor of a news agency. She is professional and strict, and she values family and friends. Jinny is her subordinate.
- Ball Mang will play a media person.
- Tony Chui will play an elite in the forensic medicine department.
- Sabrina Lau will play the daughter of Wai Ka Hung and Wong Yi Kam. She loves to cosplay.
- Enson Lau will play Au Chi Kit (歐志傑), a cop.

Kenneth Ma and Venus Wong completed the filming of the grand production "The QUEEN of News" earlier. Today, the two appeared at the 'TVB Mid-Year Sales Presentation 2023' with Shaun Tam, Hera Chan, Regina Ho, Matthew Ho, Mark Ma, et al. Kenneth pointed out that, after wrapping up "QUEEN", able to rest a bit for the time being and can start preparing for his wedding with Roxanne Tong, having wedding pictures to take and going abroad to get married. However, when asked where they are getting married and whether they will hold a wedding banquet in Hong Kong, etc., Kenneth replied throughout, "You have to ask her (Roxanne)".

Earlier, some netizens criticized Roxanne for her poor acting skills in "Secret Door", being clumsy as a policewoman and even making a personal attack on her figure; however, Kenneth stood up for her: "They said that they see that that cop is very clumsy, but her role is like that though, so I also don't really understand it. When asked what Kenneth thinks about Roxanne's acting skills, he thinks that it is okay; it is a normal execution. Of course, it cannot be said to be very splendid because her acting experience is still less than that of himself and other seniors, but Kenneth thinks that she has already fulfilled the role's needs and is not afraid of Roxanne being unhappy: "Her character is clumsy and a bit foolish. People are yelling at her for being clumsy, so she is successful! (Some people have criticized her acting skills.) People don't like the character, so they will say that. Actually, it's very simple; everyone does not need to complicate it too much. The audience's evaluation is that, if they like this character, would think that you have done a good job. If the character is not likable, they would think that you are not good. It's very simple; there's no need to delve into it".

In addition to this series, Venus will also lead "The Spectator", which talks about mental patients. Her character is a patient with hypersensitivity symptoms. Looking at the trailer, it was quite bloody and scary. She said that the series mainly talks about human nature: "In the series, everyone also has different mental problems and has been subjected to some oppression by society. The meaning of a spectator is how we make choices. When we see someone in trouble, will we lend a helping had or watch from the sidelines?"

In addition, Venus signed with Voice Entertainment two or three years ago. Herman Ho, the CEO at the time, promised to release songs for her, but later she took on series after series and has never recorded a song. The 'TVB Mid-Year Sales Presentation 2023' was held at the HKCEC today. The artistes who took part included Moses Chan, Ruco Chan, Kenneth Ma, Shaun Tam, Nancy Wu, Sisley Choi, Tiffany Lau, Benjamin Yuen, Bowie Cheung, et al. It was extremely lively.

Moses and Nancy, who star in "Narcotics Heroes", were interviewed by TOPick. These good partners shared tidbits about the filming of the new series.

Playing a Drug King and a Drug Queen

Moses and Nancy, who previously collaborated in "Ghost of Relativity", "Big White Duel II", etc., are playing a drug king and a drug queen in the series this time. Moses said that the plot is rather dark, and the series is not an ordinary police series; it describes the world of drug crime.

Nancy also shared about the role she played: "My character works in investment. Money is the only thing that she can trust, so she uses the drug lord (Moses) to change [her] destiny".

Moses pointed out that he has not played an antagonistic role for a while. He said, "Very happy to act as an antagonist again after having not played one for so many years. Because we have acted for so many years, and have been good for so many years, it is also the time to be bad".

Nancy added that she would not use good or bad to define her role: "Every character also has greed, and the definition of money is different for each person. I don't trust people...only trust money. Apart from investing, I would sell drugs to clients...mutually beneficial for everyone".

Nancy Wu Reveals Her Direction, Moses Chan Talks About 'Husband and Wife Partnership'

Nancy's 'existing stock' in TVB is only "Narcotics". She expressed the hope to be able to play roles that she has never tried before. She said, "Also currently in Hong Kong [working]. Actually, it's also very open. Would go wherever there is work that is suitable for me".

In addition, Moses and his wife, Aimee Chan, co-starred in "Romeo and His Butterfly Lover". In the series, there were many kiss scenes. Moses laughingly said that this was the advantage of a married couple filming a series together: "It would not feel awkward when filming intimate scenes...would even be a bit more natural, but we also don't want it to be too sickening. We are already a married couple in real life, so want to leave room for everyone's imagination". Regarding performing as a husband and wife partnership, Moses frankly said, "It's enough!"

Moses Chan and Heidi Chu won awards at TVB's 'Outstanding Employee Recognition Plan Awards Presentation in First Half of 2023' today. Moses laughingly said that he has always had the attitude of not being afraid of losing out and being helpful to others. Frequently making coffee at the company and serving it to his colleagues may have played a role in him winning the award, and also encouraging everyone to maintain a positive energy in life.

Moses could not help but smile from ear to ear for being selected for the Outstanding Employee Award. Asked if he was happier than winning TV king, he said, "The other day, I told Aimee [Chan] that I had won the award, and she asked, 'You are the best employee?' I thought that this award was only given to internal employees, so receiving this award has a different feeling. Actually, I just received a gold medal for 20 years of service last year".

Teased that he had won the award for being the top-earning male artiste, he laughingly said, "Not talking about these. Working at this company is about the heart!" Heidi also thought that this award was linked to an employee's earning ability, and pointed out that, in recent years, she often acted as the MC for this awards presentation. Did not expect to win the award with Moses...feels very honoured. She said with a smile, "Heard that we were nominated by ten colleagues...very grateful for the validation of the various departments of the company. Aimee and I are good friends in private; she shouted 'oh my god' when she heard that I had won the award. Didn't expect that she did not really believe it when she heard that her husband had won the award". Asked whether the two have received a contract extension from the company, as they have received awards, they laughingly said, "Definitely have to. Must try [our] best to satisfy the company".

Heidi, who was on vacation abroad, made a special trip back to Hong Kong to receive the award. She expressed that she will later fly to Japan to join her husband and daughter on the trip to celebrate having won the award. Moses also shared that he and Aimee just celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. He said, "We would celebrate every year. Originally wanted to hold a big party this year on the tenth anniversary, but Aimee will be taking the three kids back to Canada to visit relatives soon. The timing does not match, so the celebration will be postponed to next year. (Has Aimee given you a ten-year good husband gold medal?) Good suggestion. I will fight for it from her".

Synopsis: 'Ching Chi Yan' (程芷昕) has aspired to become a forensic pathologist since she was young because her father died in a traffic accident when she was young. However, because he had taken cold medicine before driving, at that time, the public opinion was that 'Yan''s father was responsible for the accident; only forensic pathologist 'Lam Sam' (林琛) stuck to his own opinions and rejected the opinions of others and found out the truth. 'Sam''s words in court, "The forensic pathologist's responsiblility is to speak for the dead", left a deep impression on the ten-year-old 'Yan'.
