TVB Filming "Forty-Two Chapters", Moses Chan Leading with Chow Ka Lok in Recreating "The Duke of Mount Deer"?

It has been circulating online that TVB's golden producer Joe Chan will start filming the new series "Forty-Two Chapters", which naturally makes one think of the classic ancient series "The Duke of Mount Deer"; however, it is known that the new series is a modern suspense series. When Joe accepted an interview with hk01, he acknowledged the news and pointed out that the series is in preparation. As for the cast, it is not convenient to disclose too much, but the series is indeed related to "Duke".

As for the cast, it has been pointed out that TV king Moses Chan and rising siu sang Chow Ka Lok are the leads. In addition, Katy Kung, Zoie Tam, and Kaman Kong are also taking part. When interviewed by hk01, Chow Ka Lok, who is busy filming the ancient series "His Highness, the Hooligan", said that he has not received any real news for the time being: "If able to really collaborate with Moses, I will greatly look forward to it!"

Synopsis: 'Chu Ying Kiu' (朱螢嬌), the boss lady of a pork shop, is studying for a master's degree in Chinese at a university. During this period, she meets 'Cheung King' (章經), a humourous but dispirited professor. The two often clash just like enemies in a previous life, not knowing that they are destined to go through all kinds of twists and turns in order to be able to have a happy ending and to get an antidote.

'Cheung King' knows that there will be a pandemic on earth, and people will be in an extremely difficult predicament. The world can only be saved by finding the antidote in the treasure of the forty-two chapters. 'Cheung King' leads 'Ying Kiu', clinical psychologist 'Kwan Yuk Ching' (關玉菁), 'Siu Kwai Chi' (邵桂芝), who has a talent in math, and 'Oh Kin Ning' (柯建寧), who has dual personalities, in the hunt for treasure together. However, when the treasure sees the light again, a dark force slowly approaches...... The pandemic gradually expands, and everyone falls into despair.

"Youthful Id" Copy Editor Erica Li: The Series Has Song and Dance, Psychological, and Campus Elements

With the talent shows "Stars Academy" and "Dance for Life" ending, TVB is using the mentality of making good use of resources by filming the new series "Youthful Me" next month with a group of candidates who are good at dancing and singing. The entire series is 15 episodes. Among them are Chantel Yiu, Gigi Yim, 'Dancing Queen' Anisha, Wong Cho Lam's younger cousin, Lee Chun Wah (孖八), et al. Erica Li will be the series' copy editor. It is known that this is a 15-episode series and will be accompanied by the "Stars" candidates' 15 new songs. In other words, Chantel, Gigi, Yumi Chung, et al. will finally have their own songs to sing.

When Erica accepted an interview with hk01, she admitted that she would be serving as the copy editor for the new series, but she mentioned that the series title is "Youthful Id" (《青春本我》), not 《青春的我》. She said, "Id is a term in psychology. The series genre is campus youth, music and song and dance, and psychodrama. Psychological elements have been added because Hong Kong people have encountered a lot of trauma in recent years. Hope to resonate with and soothe viewers. This time, the scriptwriting team is very special. We have teachers (from the education sector), and also very happy to be able to invite counselling psychologists; thus, there are many real cases for reference". When asked whether there would be a new song in each episode of the series, Erica did not directly respond but expressed, "Music and dance are really important elements. The entertainment value must be maintained".

Erica revealed that she recently went back to school to study for a master's degree in psychology; the time is tight, so she hesitated about whether she should serve as the copy writer until meeting with the group of candidates: "I was touched by the true stories of these young people. Their struggles are very amazing. One of the candidates told me that, in order to pursue his dreams, he did everything in between to earn a living: long-term work, casual work, delivery, construction.... Having to think of ways to live and to continue dancing. The stories are so attractive to me".
