"The Exorcist's 2nd Meter" Finale Dinner

Kenneth Ma Late When Treating the Actors to Dinner: Could Not Watch the Finale and Only Responsible for Paying the Bill
The cast of "The Exorcist's 2nd Meter", Kenneth Ma, Mandy Wong, Hubert Wu, C Kwan, Moon Lau, Kayee Tam, Ho Yuen Tung, et al., met for dinner at San Po Kong last night to watch the finale together; however, Kenneth, who treated, was late due to having a schedule. He arrived near the end of dinner and was basically only responsible for paying the bill.
Kenneth hurried to the scene of the dinner at about ten o'clock last night, but Hubert left at 10:30, almost one following the other in arriving and leaving but was still able to take a four-person picture with Kenneth, Mandy, and Ho Yuen Tung. Hubert expressed that he had to rush back to the company for a rehearsal, so he left early. Approximately ten minutes later, Kayee also left. Later, Kenneth and a group of actors walked out of the hotel together; among them, only Kenneth did not wear a face mask. He was interviewed as he was about to leave alone, revealing that he was late because he was rushing to film a series: "Yes, I treated for dinner tonight. Have to return home in order to watch the finale".
In addition, there are reports that TVB intends to film the sequel "The Exorcist's 3rd Meter". Mandy, Hubert, Ho Yuen Tung, et al., posted last night's dinner and a four-person picture on their Instagrams. Mandy said, "Two years already...'The Exorcist's Meter'...'The Exorcist's 2nd Meter'...don't know if there will be a third picture[?]" Ho Yuen Tung left the message, "'The Exorcist's Meter'...✅. 'The Exorcist's 2nd Meter'...✅. 'The Exorcist's 3rd Meter'...to be continued!" It seemed to hint that another sequel will be filmed.

Kenneth Ma Shares Burdens with Hubert Wu: A 'Textbook Artiste' in the Eyes of His Partner

The storyline of "The Exorcist's 2nd Meter" continued from the first installment. 'Ma Kwai', played by Kenneth Ma, shouldered the heavy responsibility of conquering demons, while Hubert Wu changed from 'Sek Kam Dong' to the new character 'Ho Jai'. Although the characters are different, the two are still good friends. Kenneth expressed that this friendship is very rare, and also does not mind even if they are misunderstood as having a 'hehe' relationship. Even if the two have an age gap, there is no generation gap at all. Hubert expressed that it is all because [Kenneth] likes to accept new things: "Of course, there is no generation gap. He is a person who is very willing to accept new things. Would like to know the patterns of life and play of young people nowadays so that he can keep up with the times. I believe that people with this kind of thinking can communicate with people of any age. In fact, many people would be curious: how come Kenneth and I are able to talk to each other? The two have an age gap, and they even have different interests. It should be difficult to communicate; however, contrary to expectations, this friendship is very wonderful. In the eyes of viewers, he is an exceptional good guy...would think that he is very boring. In fact, he is very funny in private. The scale of his speech is often in the position of stepping on the boundaries. I think that, if he puts this side in front of the camera, viewers will like him even more; thus, you would have no pressure when facing him. [Can] be completely bold in opening your heart and be willing to share anything with him because he is a trustworthy guy. Actually, when we first met, he was just a listener. Later, when I kept sharing with him, he began to feel a bit sorry that he only listened and didn't talk, and began to share his burdens over time. I believe that this is a kind of fate".
The two's relationship is even like that of a mentor and a friend. Kenneth is even Hubert's role model: "Kenneth is actually a textbook artiste because he is never late and would take his own notes. You will see that he takes out a bunch of notes from his bag every day. It turns out that he would take notes for every scene. I was slightly shocked after learning this because, for a senior actor, it is definitely a big motivator for oneself. Since the senior in front of me is so serious about work, we certainly must work even harder as juniors to seriously act out a role well. This kind of attitude of his is a good model".
Hubert highly praised him in his presence, and Kenneth was obviously very humble: "Actually, taking notes is mainly to remember every line of the character in the series because, most of the time, [they] skip scenes when shooting, and it is impossible for the actors to bring all the scripts with them every day; thus, as long as you keep a record of it, you can look at it at any time, and then you would know how your mood was when shooting this scene. It is mainly for convenience and to remind myself. It's good if you can remember everything, but it's easy to get confused if you shoot ten-plus scenes a day. Actually, I would also have another experience from him. I have been in the industry for ten-plus or 20 years. It is very easy to enter a certain mode; however, when you work with young actors, there would be some new ideas that get through to you. I may never have thought of these new ideas, but they all have some kind of freshness. It's like learning from each other; thus, I really like working with new actors. You would know the ideas of the younger generation...a mutual communication. The most important thing for an actor is giving viewers a sense of freshness, and our freshness is brought to us by young actors, which is then given to the viewers".
In the series, Kenneth continued to play the taxi driver 'Ma Kwai' from the first installment, shouldering the heavy responsibility of conquering demons. He admitted that he likes to play the grassroots level: "I really like playing grassroots characters because I am not from a wealthy family. Just a middle-class family. When acting, it is very close to my life. Of course, the character is cruder than the me in reality, but the life it surrounds is very close to my childhood; thus, I really like this character. On the contrary, I would find characters who are too rich to not be too fun". Hubert did not act as 'Sek Kam Dong' this time, as he performed as the new character 'Ho Jai'. He was even laughed at by Kenneth as having found his niche: as long as he does not act as a human, he can get a handle of it. Hubert immediately expressed that it is not already the bottleneck of acting: "Because the character this time is rather complicated, I tried my best to design the interpretation of every scene. Because [they] skip scenes when shooting, [I] also learned to take notes, recording the mood for every scene. Because [your] eyes can't be fierce in every scene, [I] also had to do [my] homework beforehand to remind myself".

The two's relationship is even like that of a mentor and a friend. Kenneth is even Hubert's role model: "Kenneth is actually a textbook artiste because he is never late and would take his own notes. You will see that he takes out a bunch of notes from his bag every day. It turns out that he would take notes for every scene. I was slightly shocked after learning this because, for a senior actor, it is definitely a big motivator for oneself. Since the senior in front of me is so serious about work, we certainly must work even harder as juniors to seriously act out a role well. This kind of attitude of his is a good model".
Hubert highly praised him in his presence, and Kenneth was obviously very humble: "Actually, taking notes is mainly to remember every line of the character in the series because, most of the time, [they] skip scenes when shooting, and it is impossible for the actors to bring all the scripts with them every day; thus, as long as you keep a record of it, you can look at it at any time, and then you would know how your mood was when shooting this scene. It is mainly for convenience and to remind myself. It's good if you can remember everything, but it's easy to get confused if you shoot ten-plus scenes a day. Actually, I would also have another experience from him. I have been in the industry for ten-plus or 20 years. It is very easy to enter a certain mode; however, when you work with young actors, there would be some new ideas that get through to you. I may never have thought of these new ideas, but they all have some kind of freshness. It's like learning from each other; thus, I really like working with new actors. You would know the ideas of the younger generation...a mutual communication. The most important thing for an actor is giving viewers a sense of freshness, and our freshness is brought to us by young actors, which is then given to the viewers".
In the series, Kenneth continued to play the taxi driver 'Ma Kwai' from the first installment, shouldering the heavy responsibility of conquering demons. He admitted that he likes to play the grassroots level: "I really like playing grassroots characters because I am not from a wealthy family. Just a middle-class family. When acting, it is very close to my life. Of course, the character is cruder than the me in reality, but the life it surrounds is very close to my childhood; thus, I really like this character. On the contrary, I would find characters who are too rich to not be too fun". Hubert did not act as 'Sek Kam Dong' this time, as he performed as the new character 'Ho Jai'. He was even laughed at by Kenneth as having found his niche: as long as he does not act as a human, he can get a handle of it. Hubert immediately expressed that it is not already the bottleneck of acting: "Because the character this time is rather complicated, I tried my best to design the interpretation of every scene. Because [they] skip scenes when shooting, [I] also learned to take notes, recording the mood for every scene. Because [your] eyes can't be fierce in every scene, [I] also had to do [my] homework beforehand to remind myself".
