Tsui Wing graduated from TVB's 13th Acting Class in 1998. Many graduates from that year are more known in TVB. Graduates who are still active include Tavia Yeung, Raymond Lam, Mat Yeung, Meini Cheung, Jones Lee Chung Hei, David Do, Wong Chun Sun (Ken in "Forensic Heroes I & II"), Hui Ming Chi, Raymond Chiu, and Bond Chan. Non-active graduates include Anson Leung (in movies), Olivia Fu (in/was in children programmes), Anna Yiu, and Ka Chun (now enrolled in Beijing's Acting School). During his interview for TVB's Acting Class, Tsui Wing performed martial arts, Nan Quan (South Fist), in front of the teaching instructors.

Tsui Wing's first big role was given by producer Jonathan Chik in 2004's "Blade Heart", playing alongside Adam Cheng. Then, he also starred in Chik's "The Dance of Passion" in 2006, playing Yim Kwok Gei. In the same year, Tsui Wing captured the audiences' attention for his role in "CIB Files" (another series produced by Chik). He and Gregory Lee played Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) officers. The two of them would make an entrance by rolling in on the ground or kicking down doors. These gestures were memorable to the audience.

Tsui Wing's breakthrough role came from 2007's sitcom "Best Selling Secrets" as Kau Chun. Tsui Wing captivates the character very well, playing a sycophant assistant who is impudent and shameless. He bullies the weak and relies on connections. However, all of those traits are acts to survive in the working world. Deep down, Kau Chun is a loving person who cares for those he loves. His character is loyal and faithful to his boss, Diana (Elvina Kong). For her, he would fight to his death to protect her and not care for his own safety. The role of Kau Chun has really brought out Tsui Wing's acting abilities.

In 2008, Tsui Wing also received a gold medal for servicing TVB for ten years with his other classmates.

Personal Note: I think Tsui Wing is a good actor. He doesn't look bad, he has a great frame, and he also has nice sideburns. I think he is very good at yelling scenes. Not many actors are able to do that without a bit of exaggeration.

As for the other four graduates in the TVB 13th Acting Class picture, I don't know their names.

Many viewers might only remember Berg from the ATV series "My Date With a Vampire", but Berg Ng has been around for some time. Berg graduated from TVB's 11th Acting Class in 1982. His classmates included Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Stephen Chow, Bobby Au Yeung, Francis Ng, Eddie Kwan, Mak King Ting, Eddie Cheung, and Wilson Lam. TVB initially wanted Berg to host a variety show after graduating from the class; however, Berg rejected it due to love affair problems. For that reason, TVB gave up on Berg and did not sign him as a contracted artiste. At that time, he could only turn to ATV and sign up for their acting course. He eventually entolled in ATV's 2nd Acting Class in 1984 and officially joined ATV. After staying in ATV for almost twenty years, Berg left in 2003. Now, he stars in movies and films series in Mainland.

In his ATV days, Berg played numerous villain roles and most of them were ancient series. Unlike Derek Kwok, Berg does not know martial arts. Yet, he seems like a natural when it comes to fight scenes. He is also Tony Leung Chiu Wai's best friend. They have known each other ever since the TVB days. Whenever Tony needs a friend to talk to, Berg is the guy he spills his guts out to.

Personal Note: ATV always typecasted Berg as the villain role in series. Maybe it is because he has that evil look. I find it very surprising that he doesn't know any martial arts. He seems as though he would know some considering how many fighting series he was cast in. My favourite series of his would obviously be the MDWV series, and I also loved "Project Ji Xiang", "Ten Tigers from Guangdong", and "The Interpol".

In 1983, Derek was working as a stunt double in ATV and a colleague, Savio Tsang, suggested that he should switch into acting. At the time, Derek had never thought of becoming an actor because his dream was to become a martial arts teacher.

Derek participated in TVB's 4th New Talent Singing Awards 1985. He managed to make it to the final due to his imitation of Koji Kikkawa's back flip during the performance. In the same year, Derek was spotted by a director and was cast for a movie role in 豬仔出更 with Kathy Chow Hoi Mei, Lee Ka Sing, and Wilson Lam Chun Yin.

After acting for the first time, Derek had become interested in role-playing. At the time, Kathy Chow Hoi Mei handed him a form for TVB's Acting Class and encouraged him to fill it out. In 1986, Derek was enrolled in TVB's Acting Class and officially entered TVB. His classmates included Jimmy Au Sui Wai, Gilbert Lam Wai Sun, and Wong Wai Tak.

Personal Note: Derek is very versatile but is always typecast as the evil character. When you think of an ancient TVB series, Derek's name will be the first to pop into mind. His outer appearance and facial features are very suiting for the ancient look. He is very 型!

I had the chance to bump into him outside of TVB in May of 2006. Too bad his eyes were closed for the snap. Take a look at his t-shirt: he wore in in a magazine interview and in "The Family Link".
