Synopsis: 'Tsui Kong Yan' (徐港仁) works as a senior executive of a property management company. With his wits, smooth communication skills, and extraordinary luck, he has been soaring and rising step by step after graduating from university, and can be called a 'winner at the game of life'. 'Yan' pursues a Zen ideology, not seeking success but seeking ease. Unexpectedly, [his] net worth plummets due to an investment failure, which affects his retirement plan. While being dispirited, [he] unexpectedly gets appointed to be the CEO of a Beijing branch for a year. 'Yan' takes the chance without hesitation, going up north with his wife, 'Helen'.
On the first day of work, 'Yan' encounters language and cultural differences, and an old enemy even becomes his boss! At the same time, 'Yan''s younger brother and younger sister, 'Laymond' and 'Bowie', set foot in unfamiliar Beijing one after the other for their own reasons, and rely on help from their elder brother and sister-in-law. The four of them brainstorm and develop a plan prepared by 'Yan' into a cultural and creative park, attracting a scriptwriter who claims to be underappreciated, a girl group that dreams of being on stage, a fashionista who does not have money to pay rent, et al.
In order to drive the development of the park, each of them makes suggestions. In the process, they get to know many locals and 'Beijing drifters', which gives them new understandings and insights on love and living, and even life.
