The new TVB series "The Ideal Lawyers", executive produced by Chung Shu Kai, wrapped up filming its final major scene in Hong Kong not long ago. That day, the temperature reached 37°C. TV king Gallen Lo joined TV queen Tavia Yeung, Alice Chan, Moon Lau, Kelly Cheung, Joyce Tang, Matthew Ho, et al. outside the High Court in Admiralty. Everyone was in autumn and winter attire under the sweltering heat and the 'Very Hot Weather Warning'; although they were drenched in sweat, it was a joyful atmosphone on set.

Regarding the series' completion, Tavia is happy and unwilling to part with it, particularly struck by the seamless chemistry she shared with Gallen despite collaborating again after many years. She said, "Our chemistry isn't the kind that requires numerous scenes to build up like with other actors. Naturally know what the other is thinking. There is no need to rehearse our performances...could do it in one take". She said that they were serious in the series, but it was full of laughter outside of the series, hoping to collaborate in a comedy next time: "He says that I am good at making gags. Actually, I'm not, but with him leading the way, it's no problem. He's the king of comedy...has a lot of humour. I want to learn how to film comedy from him". Mentioning the days spent filming outdoors in the heat, she admitted that it was grueling but was happy that she and Gallen gave the passersby a surprise in the bustling city: "We weren't even doing ordinary things. Had to film chase sequences and car crash scenes. The passersby were also very happy to see us".

Making the Most of a Trip with Her Children After Wrapping Up Filming

Tavia received a visit on the Shenzhen set from her husband, Him Lau, and their two children earlier. She noted that she happened to have no scheduled filming that day, so she was able to enjoy some family time. She also praised her husband for being a capable partner; apart from bringing the children to visit her on set, also helped them learn to swim and arranged a series of summer activities, which allowed her to film with a peace of mind. After wrapping up the shoot, she will immediately return to her family: "A slight regret is that I won't be able join everyone for the completion dinner after completing the filming of the series. Because the kids are starting school soon, I want to take them on a trip. Plus, my child is entering Primary One...will be busier with homework. Hope to make the most of this summer and have a lot of fun".

Gallen dyed his hair white. He, who has thick hair, expressed when interviewed, "My hair is real! When filming '[The Heir to the Throne]' back then, [Charmaine] Sheh even asked my hairstylist if my hair was real. Of course, it is! I like to try new things. I also really like this new look". He also said that he was very happy to work with the actors in the series, revealing that his character was 'very difficult to play': "Because the relationships are very complex and the force of impact was very strong. Many of the important scenes I filmed with Tavia were also very incredible. Everything about this series was great. The script and actors were also great, such as Alice, Joyce, Kelly, Matthew, and Moon. Everyone worked very hard, so filmed very happily. I feel very fortunate to have encountered such good actors when coming back this time".

As for Alice, she suffered from heatstroke during filming. She expressed with a hoarse voice, "Because it was too hot and too sunny, and the blazer was cinced tightly at the waise. Vision went grey before. Went to lie down for a bit to rest, but voice turned hoarse after the heatstroke". She said that her doctor husband just got off work, so he rushed over to the filming site. Asked if she would visit a clinic or hospital for a check-up, she laughingly said, "Have a doctor beside [me], so there's no need". She also revealed that, after two months of intensive filming, will be heading out for stage performances and recording variety programmes in September: "The earliest [I] can go on trip is the end of September because that is [our] wedding anniversary".

Moon Lau Grasping Every Minute and Everyone Second, Learning Acting from the King and Queen

As a junior, Moon was thrilled to collaborate with Gallen and Tavia for the first time, frankly saying that the collaboration was very enjoyable: "I was constantly asking questions and having fun with them. Cherished every minute and every second as an opportunity to learn from them". She praised Gallen as being very humourous and for being a senior who is hard to come by, while Tavia is extremely straightforward and willing to share: "I always pester her in acting and life. Sometimes when I am also not quite sure after filming a take, she would take the initiative to help me".

As for Joyce, who plays Gallen's wife in the series and has not filmed a drama in a long time, she expressed that she had no trouble adjusting: "Okay. It was quite fun. My character is controversial and unconventional, so it was very challenging".

Kelly Cheung Gets a Scare from Her Loss of Taste

Artiste Kelly spent over a month in Shenzhen filming "Ideal", which was an enjoyable process. Filming took place during the sweltering heat of summer, but she had to wear heavy winter outfits to match the storyline. Fortunately, the entire process was smooth without delays caused by the weather. However, she revealed that she briefly lost her sense of taste, thinking that she had contracted COVID-19. Fortunately, it was just the common cold...already quickly recovered after resting.

Talking about her character in the series, Kelly laughingly said that the lawyer scenes posed no difficulty for her: "Previously filmed 'Legal Mavericks [II]'...also had some courtroom experience". However, the character this time has great depth and even had to go head-to-head with other characters in the series, making it a great challenge and a new experience. She was happy to be able to work with many actors she had not collaborated with before, highly praising Tavia as having a frank and outgoing and approachable personality, knowing how to take care of people, and having a sense of humour. Mentioning Gallen, Kelly was full of gratitude: "He is my mentor...was very considerate. Perhaps knew that us juniors would be nervous. Took the initiative to chat with us on the first day. Toned down his commanding presence to make everyone film comfortably". Mentioning if her temporary stay in Shenzhen for the shoot would affect her taking care of her beloved cat, Kelly expressed that she would occasionally return to Hong Kong for a day or two to handle personal matters. Talking about her new cat, 「冬菇」, she laughingly said, "He is very mischievous. Kittens are always jumping around".
