Kenneth Ma, Samantha Ko, Rosita Kwok, Eric Tang, Matthew Ho, Hera Chan, et al. attended a meeting in Shenzhen today for TVB's new series, "Mrs. Revenge". Kenneth and Samantha both denied allegations that "Mrs." plagiarized the Korean drama "Marry My Husband". Kenneth expressed, "I have watched that Korean drama. Our series talks about forseeable dreams; the premise is not the same. Perhaps viewers would find certain plot points slightly similar, but many series involve the scumbag theme. It depends on the viewer's perspective". Samantha pointed out that a single manga that gets adapted into a drama would have different versions; apart from the Korean drama, there was also a Japanese drama. She also humourously expressed, "In life, one is bound to encounter a few scumbags along the way".
This series has already released in Mainland and will only be airing on TVB Jade next month. Samantha expressed her delight at the response being ideal and that it has been a popular search in Mainland. She revealed that the biggest challenge of the role was the crying scenes, noting that a particular scene involving the discovery of her husband's infidelity required the most intense crying. "Felt as though [I] had lost half of my life after filming ended. Had to sit on the floor to finish crying and compose [myself] before [I] could shoot the subsequent scene where my husband in the series, Cheung Wing Hong, slaps me". She emphasized that she harboured no trauma from a past incident where a slap during the filming of a series had actually knocked her face out of alignment; however, her mother could not help but shed tears and felt heartbroken for her while watching this scene. Kenneth's character in the series was highly praised by Samantha as being perfect like a 'guardian angel', but Kenneth jokingly said that such a good character would only appear in fairy tales: "I'm not as perfect as this character. You can ask my wife--she would definitely say that I am not as good as the character".
Rumours have circulated that Ron Ng and Kelly Cheung have sparked a romance while working together on the series "This City Never Sleeps". Samantha pointed out that the two play a married couple in the series; in private, it was normal work-related communication, and everyone would also occasionally gather for meals. Samantha went on a trip to the US earlier and watched two World Cup matches in person, lamenting the lack of male company--being accompanied only be female friends. [She] had also hoped to be able to have a romantic encounter. Kenneth also wants to go watch the World Cup but lacks the time, so has to settle for watching it at home with his wife, Roxanne Tong. Earlier, Roxanne was wearing a loose-fitting dress, so it was speculated that it is inconvenient for her to fly because she is pregnant. He said, "My wife has always liked wearing loose-fitting dresses. If there is, would let everyone know. We are working on it, but leaving whether there is or not to fate".
