- The story talks about Charmaine Sheh being the queen of news, and Kenneth Ma was her disciple. Now, the two are equals hosting a programme together, each having his or her own team. Kenneth hopes to challenge Charmaine's position. Selena Lee is the third power who seems to be neutral, not helping either side; however, power makes one corrupt, eventually evolving into three parties fighting one another. Journalists face different events, such as a dying person: should they shoot or save the person first? There is a choice that depends on their professional ethics and journalistic conscience; where is the boundary in their hearts? In addition, the angle that journalists use to report the news also has a great influence on the viewpoints of the entire matter and the clients. How should the owners who manipulate news reports deal with their profession?
- The news department in the series leans toward a foreign format. The anchor has a lot of power to review the press release, and there is an entire team to help him. With this setup, there will be plots of anchor struggles.
- Charmaine will play Man Wei Sam (文慧心), a prime time news anchor. Her character is tough. She has been working in journalism for ten-plus years. She is pure at first, but starts to get involved in the power struggles. She and Kenneth are in the same team; they have many scenes with one another. She and Kenneth are rivals. Because every second counts in the news department, there is often a fight for exclusives, ratings, commercials, and even people; thus, she often has to fight with Kenneth. As long as her news is published earlier than his, then she has beaten him. Selena does not agree with her way of doing things; everyone has a different standpoint. She is also called 「Man姐」.
- Kenneth will play George Leung King Yan (梁景仁), a tall, stylish, and funny male anchor who is popular in the bureaucracy and the business world. He is a well-rounded man of the world who engages in workplace politics and especially battles with Charmaine. Because he is an executive, he does not have to sit in the studio. He is a bad person, but he is not a villain; it is just that everyone has a different standpoint and would have his or her own selfishness. He is both good and evil. He and Charmaine are the two big factions, battling from the beginning to the end; he fights with her for everything. He is more proactive in fighting for fame and fortune. He has romantic storylines with Selena and Regina Ho; Selena is his ex, while Regina is his current partner. He only does not get mad when Selena scolds him because this former lover is too unforgettable for him.
- Selena will play Cheung Ka Yin (張家妍), a sharp-tongued noon anchor. She is very positive and righteous. She has an upright and tough personality and is full of enthusiam for work. She wants to speak out for the citizens and do a lot of things for them. She is a very peristent person, but she is also very direct. She is a very daring girl who dares to yell at anyone. She is the only one who dares to yell at Charmaine. She is not gentle and would quarrel with others due to her stance. She concerns herself with facts and not with individuals, and she has a strong distinction between black and white. She is rather stubborn. She does not bow down to evil forces. She originally has a neutral position in the news department, but later gets involved in the power struggle, vowing to fight for a share. She is originally quite upright, but only later are her true colours revealed. She and Kenneth are former lovers; they are each other's most memorable and most loved. She provokes Kenneth, but he is very good to her. Matthew Ko is her fiancé. She previously studied in England, so she has English dialogue.
- Samantha Ko will play Cathy Hui Si Ching (許詩晴), a morning anchor. She is Kenneth's subordinate. She is clever, has a relatively high EQ and a cheerful personality, and is a goddess anchor who is loved by everyone. She does not have much of a family background, so she is very hardworking and has to rely on herself to get what she wants. In order to strive for a higher position, she also has her own methods. She does not have many friends and does not need friends, so she is more independent. She has a light romantic storyline with Niklas Lam; there are no passionate scenes. She has more scenes with Kenneth and Selena.
- Regina will play Tsui Hiu Mei (徐曉薇), an evening anchor. She is a tragic character. She is full of ambitions and even has a mood disorder. She is not very emotionally stable, so she can be very emotional at times. On the surface, she is very simple and obedient, but she is actually an ambitious person. In her heart, she has her own plans and things that she wants to achieve. She has some tricks and is scheming. She always wants to do bad things, but she is foolish and is unable to do it. She wants to surpass Charmaine, and even wants to replace her, but it is very difficult. She is Charmaine's disciple; she greatly respects Charmaine and is not scared of her. She has a romantic storyline with Kenneth; there is action and passion. She has kiss scenes with Kenneth and Mark Ma.
- Shaun Tam will guest-star as Chan Chi Kit (陳子傑), the owner of a vehicle repair shop. He and Charmaine are former lovers, but they still have a great relationship; they mostly have scenes where they drink coffee and chat. He has to shave when filming sweet recollection scenes.
- Venus Wong will play Lau Yim (劉艷), Selena's disciple. She is a neutral party. She is a silly and hot-blooded rookie reporter. She is a pure and simple girl with passion and wants to do the news well. She is a sunny happy person, but her personality causes trouble, and everyone is afraid of her. Everyone in the entire department except Regina has yelled at her. She has more scenes with Charmaine and Selena.
- Eric Tang will play Yu Ying Fei (余英飛), a multifaceted company executive. He is the executive producer of the news. He is a very sinister and cunning superior. He is a major antagonist. He leads Charmaine and Kenneth; he has many scenes with them. Mimi Kung is his direct superior. He is also called 「飛爺」.
- James Ng will play a news department cameraperson at a television station. He has the most scenes with Venus.
- Matthew Ho will play Ivan, Charmaine's most competent assistant. He has a little bit of intense scenes with Charmaine.
- Niklas will play Wong Wai (王偉), who follows Kenneth. He has more scenes with Kenneth and Samantha.
- Rosita Kwok will play a student who just graduated from the Department of Commmunication and joins the news department, later slowly becoming an anchor. She mainly has scenes with Charmaine.
- Ruth Tsang will play Raymond, who is in Charmaine's faction.
- Lucas Yiu will play Sam, who is in Charmaine's faction.
- Carmen Ngai will play Amber, Charmaine's subordinate.
- Matthew Chu will play Brian Chan Yu Hin (陳宇軒), a reporter at SNK news. He is in Charmaine's faction.
- Vincent Choi will play Ko Yui Kwan (高睿軍), a senior news reporter. He is in Kenneth's faction.
- Mina Kwok will play Gloria An Nga Man (安雅雯), a news reporter who is in Kenneth's faction.
- Venus Tang will play Ching Ting (靖婷), who is in Kenneth's faction.
- Fefe Tsang is in Kenneth's faction.
- Cathy Wong will play a reporter who is under Kenneth.
- Henry Lee is in Kenneth's faction.
- Marco Lee is in Kenneth's faction.
- Uki Law will play Denise, who is in Charmaine's faction.
- Bobo Yeung will play Carmen, who is in Charmaine's faction.
- Alex Kwok will play Edison Chin Koon Sing (錢冠升), who is in Charmaine's faction.

- Alvis Lo will play Jacky, who is in Charmaine's faction.

- Mark will play Regina's chauffeur. She has a lot of burdens; he appears to help her relax. Ninety percent of his scenes are in a car.
