Synopsis: The 6:30 news report with the highest ratings is a must for anchors. In the news and television department, experienced anchors 'Man Wei Sam' (文慧心) and 'Leung King Yan' (梁景仁) are divided into two factions and are equally matched; the former stirs up trouble and finally climbs to a management position. The vacancy of a prime time female anchor results in a series of storms!
'Hui Si Ching' (許詩晴), 'Cheung Ka Yin' (張家妍), and 'Tsui Hiu Mei' (徐曉薇) are female anchors at different times in the morning, noon, and evening. In order to get ahead, the three disregard mentor-mentee relationships and journalism ethics. They do whatever it takes to show off in public, and uncover each other's scars and hurt one another in private. In the end, some find comrades in the 'cold palace', some jump out of the mainstream to find another way out, and some become the people they despise the most. The newcomer 'Lau Yim' (劉艷) is full of enthusiasm, witnessing open and veiled strife, and only wants to not be assimilated and to maintain her ideals.
'Sam' thought that, by controlling the outcome, she would be able to hold onto power, but the old director and boss had other plans, not hesitating to reveal her terrible past and pull her down in order to achieve the final reform plan.
All are only focusing on competing for the glass of water in front of them, but forget that there is actually a vast ocean behind them.
